CMLL is back on ClaroSports Friday night.

AAA is the final build to TripleMania, the cage match should air, and maybe the other matches that lead into TripleMania. Or not.

Elite should have Dragon Lee vs Flamita, and maybe useful info on Elite.

I’m not sure if the Sunday IWRG show airs, since it’s not really an IWRG show.

Super Porky update, IWRG & Guadalajara update

CMLL (TUE) 08/23/2016 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Martes de Glamour]
1) Furia Roja & Ráfaga b El Divino & Neutrón
Rudos took 2/3
2) Hombre Bala Jr., Pegasso, Soberano Jr. b Arkángel de la Muerte, Hijo del Signo, Skándalo
Tecnicos took 1/3.
3) Misterioso Jr., Pierroth, Sagrado b Ángel de Oro, Fuego, Guerrero Maya Jr.
Rudos took 1/3. Fuego replaced Stuka (moved to Arena Mexico.)
4) Rey Bucanero, Shocker, Vangellys b Johnny Idol, Marco Corleone, Máscara Dorada
Rudos took 2/3.
5) Cavernario, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas b Atlantis, Dragón Lee, Mistico
Rudos took 2/3, Negro Casas beating Dragon Lee and challenging for a title match afterwards.

CMLL hasn’t had a (super) lightweight championship for as long as the other time, and it’s been inactive or outside of Mexico for a large chunk of that time. Similar deal with the national lightweight title, which is now treated as a mini championship. Negro Casas has usually challenged for Welterweight titles since leaving the UWA in the early 90s. Negro Casas’ last known challenge for a lightweight championship is December 1984.

IWRG (WED) 08/24/2016 Arena Naucalpan [The Gladiatores]
1) Fly Tiger b Keiser Drago
2) Cadilac & Shadow Boy b Rosario Negro & Viajero Extremo
3) Astro, Black Dragón, Hijo del Alebrije b Hanaoka, Skanda, Yakuza
4) Black Terry, Emperador Azteca, Veneno b Bombero Infernal, Demonio Infernal, Judas el Traidor
5) Dragón Fly b Hip Hop Man © [AIWA ARGENTINA CRUISER]
Dragon Fly won the championship, taking falls 1/3. Hip Hop man falls on his third (?) defense, and appeared to have a shoulder injury after armbar Dragon Fly used to win.

Last night’s CMLL Informa included strange but true tales of Pierroth’s parenting, and also snuck in an explaination of Super Porky’s situation. He has a femur injury, but can’t get the surgery until he loses weight, and is 2-3 weeks away from the doctors deciding if they can have that surgery. Maximo says they’ll be running a benefit show. It’s a sad situation for a guy who’s been a headliner for three decades needs a benefit show for a health issue. It also suggests that Porky was being put on shows so he could make enough money to pay for his medical bills, only someone would later decide he wasn’t medically clear to go out there. (It also means he might be wrestling on small shows, which are less likely to stop him from working.) LuchaWorld has a full recap of the show in today’s news update.

CMLL luchadors are doing autograph signing to promote the opening of the CMLL photogallerys at Liverpool stores across Mexico.

AAA’s annual pilgrimage was today. The group photo seems much smaller than usual; most of the main eventers aren’t there. Ludxor noted (complained) it was mandatory participation in some of his post-AAA interviews, and perhaps that’s been changed. Edit: or maybe that’s just an early photo, since I see newer photos of more people there.

AAA also officially announced their deal with Panini for an album of stickers. They say it’s available today at newspaper stands.

RIOT Riotmon on 09/10 in Arena LLF
1: Mascara Dorada vs Ultimo Ninja
2: Los Delicuentes (Galactor & Furor) vs Larry Miranda & Dulce Kanela
3: Black Terry vs Alberto Dos Rios

Lucha Memes Chairo 5 on 09/25 in Arena Naucalpan.
1: Volador Jr. vs Rey Horuz
2: a Lucha Memes vs IWRG Torneo FILL (8v8 cibernetico).
IWRG: Black Dragon, Kanon, Dragon Fly + 5 more
Lucha Memes: Astrolux, Garrobo Punk, Tekilita + 5 more

Lucha Memes also announced a 10/30 show in Xalapa (Chairos 2 Xalapa)
1: Maximo vs Demasiado, hair versus hair

A new group (?) named Lucha Titanes says they’re bringing CMLL stars to Arena Naucalpan on 10/30.

LuchaWorld has an interview with Nicho el Millionario, which includes important information about his upcoming plans that I’m not going to give away in this line of text.

LigerFever has a recap of the latest Podcast BOOM, talking about AAA & Monterrey. AAA agreed to work Multimedios to promote the Heroes Inmortales card on the condition Konnan stay out of it. Konnan got involved anyway. They won’t get the card until after TripleMania.

Cross Armbreaker reviews Black Warrior vs Shocker in 1999, El Dandy vs Javier Llanes in 1994 and La Fiera vs Emilio Charles Jr. in 1994.

CultIcon compares AAA and CMLL and previews TripleMania.

Plantilla Deportiva talks to Valiente about the trios title match on the Anniversario show.

Televisa’s Somos Fans did a segment on Pentagon Jr.’s story last night (but it’s region blocked from the US.)

Taurus says he’s going to win Copa TripleMania and then the Megachampionship. A Texano/Taurus match would be very fun.

Apolo Valdes previews TripleMania.

AAA previews the Cage vs Dr. Wagner vs Texano heavyweight championship match.

Black Terry Jr. looks back at the Apaches last high profile match against men, their 2011 match with Los Traumas.

Nayarit luchador Marakame retired. Apparently, he had a big feud with Super Calo back in the day.

Brian Cage, meeting fans.
