What happened: Nothing.
What was good: Nothing.
Where can I watch it: It’s on CMLL’s YouTube channel, but there’s no reason to watch this.

Arena México, 07/19/2016
- técnicos
- Bengala front trip cradle Apocalispis (5:36)
- Flyer guillotine legdrop Camorra (6:11)
- rudos
- Apocalipsis rolling senton Flyer (2:38)
- Camorra side and bow arrow Bengala (3:02)
- rudos
- Apocalispis german suplex Flyer (3:09)
- Camorra half crab Bengala (3:58)
Winner: rudos (2/3)
Match Time: 13:11
Review: [below average] Straight up generic opening match with the most generic people. Flyer seemed to be trying. Bengala works at one speed. Apocalipsis works at no speed, but he’s still better than Camorra. Camorra is not better than any one.
Match 2: Metatrón, Oro Jr., Soberano Jr. vs Cancerbero, Metálico, Raziel
Arena México, 07/19/2016
- técnicos
- Soberano Jr. moonsault Metálico (7:47)
- rudos
- Cancerbero motocicleta Soberano (5:12)
- rudos
- Metálico powerbomb Oro (5:48)
- double submission Metálico & Soberano (7:09)
Winner: rudos (2/3)
Match Time: 20:08
Review: [ok] better than the last match, but not much more interesting. Oro and Metálico are apparently going to fight forever, to the complete apathy. The work was sloppy too, with big moves involving Soberano going wrong multiple times, and it’s not like the other two are going to carry the excitement either. Another skippable match.
Match 3: Hombre Bala Jr., Pegasso, Star Jr. vs Fujin, Okumura, Raijin
Arena México, 07/19/2016
- rudos
- Okumura Michinoku Driver Hombre Bala (3:20)
- técnicos
- Hombre Bala pumphandle powerbomb Okumura (3:25)
- técnicos
- Fujin shiranui Star Jr. (5:05)
- Raijin Shocker Arrow Pegasso (5:21)
Winner: técnicos (2/3)
Match Time: 12:06
Review: [ok] maybe getting a passing grade because it was better than the rest of the matches to this point, though it still kind of fell short of where I’d hope they’d reach. Hombre Bala looked like a star, but I could’ve used more of Fujin & Raijin given how rare they’re appearing now. Star Jr. pulled off the Soberano tornillo well.
Match 4: Fuego vs Virus in a lightning match
Arena México, 07/19/2016
Winner: Fuego (DQ Virus mask pull)
Match Time: 6:53
Review: [ok] they did change it up from the last time they did this match a lot, avoiding their usual sets, but unfortunatly that meant a lame DQ finish at the end. This was like the last match, fine but didn’t stuck out in any way.
Match 5: Ángel de Oro, Blue Panther, Robin vs Kráneo, Olímpico, Ripper
Arena México, 07/19/2016
- Invasors
- Kraneo hip smash Blue Panther (1:23)
- Invasors
- Olímpico top rope splash Blue Panther (6:16)
- Kraneo splash Ripper (7:17)
Winner: Invasors (1/2)
Match Time: 8:40
Notes: Robin replaced Super Porky.
Review: [ok] give this one some credit for being different, in that seeing a two win rudo victory clean is strange. It’d have more impact if there was any place they were going with it, which seems doubtful. Porky continues to miss matches, which makes it odd that Robin was the replacement and they didn’t have someone better as a standby or just move people up. Maybe it was for the best, because Robin didn’t get to show all that much in this and neither would’ve anyone else.
Match 6: Johnny Idol, Marco Corleone, Máximo Sexy vs Pierroth, Rey Escorpión, Sam Adonis
Arena México, 07/19/2016
- rudos
- Pierroth senton Marco Corleone (4:31)
- Sam Adonis spinning side slam Johnny Idol (4:57)
- técnicos
- Marco Corleone Air Corleone all three rudos (1:49)
- rudos
- Rey Escorpion powerbomb Máximo (6:15)
Winner: rudos (1/3)
Match Time: 13:01
Review: [ok] maybe not OK? I’m having trouble caring after we run 90 minutes without nothing much interesting happening (and was paying less attention to this show than usual, but nothing was making me regret that choice by the end.) What stuck out to me was the newer guys not really being in the rights spots quick enough; Marco had to wait about 20 seconds to end the second fall because neither Adonis nor Escorpión were in the center of the ring (like there was a missed spot to set up), and Idol spent a long time on the outside recovering from something while Escorpión insisted on waiting for him to come back (and Marco and Máximo also insisted on that.) Aside of that, the match was fine, but fine has an increasingly small chance of making an impact when they’re running 18 steaming matches a week.
