We talk about the Lucha World Cup, recent AAA in general, Pierroth/Mascara and the lack of anything else going on in CMLL, and some talk about lucha libre guys in the US.
We ended up going 109 minutes with no particular plan, so it’s even more all over the place then usual. I’m pretty sure we’re not negative at some point during the show. And the name Rob couldn’t remember is Ricardo Messa – that’ll be useful late in the podcast.

These two questions could sound like i’m trolling but honestly i’m just curious.
Why do you still watch AAA & CMLL/Elite when you seem to enjoy almost nothing of the product?
Why do you still mispronounce Fenix, Cibernetico & Dr Wagner
Thanks
There are plenty of matches I’ve liked in all those promotions, but all three are not really doing as good as they could to make good matches. Eventually, they’ll swing around to doing better match ups and we’ll be happy again.
I think I am pronounced Cibernetico and Dr. Wagner Jr. correct and there’s two different acceptable ways to go with Fenix. But I work on my pronunciation often.
Spanish is not mine or Cubs first language so we try our best.
For my point of view re: negativity… AAA/CMLL right now are both in down periods. There’s no sugar-coating it. In regards to AAA I haven’t seen the promotion in this wretched state since 2008. I actually felt I was too nice to them on the podcast as I could have ripped so much more of the incompetence going on & we didn’t even touch any of the controversy.
I think if you go back to older podcasts you’ll hear us much more positive about things. (For AAA you may have to go back to 2015)
