CMLL (SUN) 05/15/2016 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Esto es Lucha GDL, Fuego en el Ring]
1) El Diplomático b Micro
2) Fugaz & Johnny Dinamo b Carlo Roggi & Mr. Apolo
3) Capitán Cobra, Cosmos, Reyko b Gitano, Linterna, Relámpago
Tecnicos took 2/3.
4) Kempo Dragón & Príncipe Kisho b Gallo & Vaquero Jr.
Sinaloa outsiders took 1/3. Kisho was eliminated, but pulled Gallo’s mask from the outside and Kempo got the pin. Kempo’s normally a tecnico and noted they didn’t win cleanly, but still wanted a shot at Gallo & Vaquero’s Pacific Coast tag titles, held by Vaquero & Gallo.
5) Furia Roja, Mr. Trueno, Ráfaga DCOR Joker, Maléfico, Sádico
Team Joker took fall 1, Team Rafaga took fall 2, and both sides battled outside after dives for the very rare main event draw.
Not even sure last time a show ended with a draw. Esto es Lucha GDL notes Kisho & Dragon got in trouble with the boss of the Sinaloa luchadors about something they did here. I guess it could just be part of the storyline about the cheating, but it doesn’t read that way.
IWRG (SUN) 05/15/2016 Arena Naucalpan [+LuchaTV, The Gladiatores]
1) Adrenalina & Fireman b Aramis & Atomic Star
2) Avisman & Hip Hop Man b Astro & Omega
3) Dinamic Black, Emperador Azteca, Freelance b Cerebro Negro, Killer Jr., Trauma II

4) Leo, Mike, Rafy © b Factor, Rayan, Spector [EdM Trios]
first defense
5) Canis Lupus, Danny Casas, Máscara Año 2000 Jr. b Hijo De Dos Caras, Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr., Trauma I
Trauma I attempted to give Canis Lupus a martinete again, but Lupus fouled him and got the win. Everyone fought post match.
They’re going somewhere with the heavyweights feuding, but not sure where. No next card announced yet.
CMLL (MON) 05/16/2016 Arena Puebla
1) Akuma & Espanto Jr. b Black Tiger & Millenium
11:12. Rudos took 2/3.
2) Hombre Bala Jr. & Star Jr. b Rey Apocalipsis & Toro Bill Jr.
17:51. Tecnicos took 2/3.
3) Astral, Eléctrico, Shockercito DQ Espíritu Maligno, Mini Joker, Saurón
14:08. tecnicos took 2/3. Sauron beat Astral, but decided to keep putting holds on him until he was DQed. Sauron wants a minis title shot.
4) Boby Z, King Jaguar, Kráneo b Fuego, Rey Cometa, Soberano Jr.
12:24. Rudos took 1/3. King Jaguar & Bobby Z replaced Morphosis & Olimpico, Soberano (in a plain black mask & Mephisto’s pants) replaced Super Porky.
5) Ephesto, Luciferno, Mephisto © b Ángel de Oro, Stigma, Stuka Jr. [MEX TRIOS]
13:24. Hijos del Infierno took 1/3, the last with Mephisto beating Angel de Oro. 4th defense.
6) Marco Corleone b Rush
7:32. Rush won the first, got intentionally DQed in the second, and was beat in the third.
So, we have to have an unhappy conversation about Rush. We don’t even know if there’s something going on with Rush, so the unhappiness could just be getting concerned about something that’s not existent, not true. Still, Rush losing cleanly to one friend Marco here, the end of the Ingobernables setting up a singles match with Rush’s other friend La Mascara, and (at least) a short term run getting team with his father can be interpreted as Rush checking items off his CMLL bucket list, not so different from La Sombra’s single matches before he left town. It does not mean Rush is going to WWE, but it’s a possibility now worth considering as things go forward. It’s seems like something happened in the last month, with the Maximo/Marco vs Rush/Mascara program seemingly swapped out for Mascara/Rush, and an offer to go elsewhere is one of many possible reasons.
I don’t claim to know anything about this – I was very wrong about the trios title change last night – but I’m just pointing it out as something to keep an eye on.
(There’s not even any point in really asking Rush about it, because Sombra insisted there was nothing to him going to WWE until the day he showed up in Florida, though Rush deserves the chance to deny rumors all the same.)
Tonight’s CMLL main event is a reunion of Ultimo Guerrero & Rey Bucanero, best tag team of the early 2000s but mostly having gone separate ways for the last decade. They team with Gran Guerrero to take on Stuka, Mascara Dorada and Volador, in Volador’s final match before heading to Japan. Dragon Lee is listed as returning to action, after a 23 day injury break, teaming with Blue Panther & Guerrero Maya Jr. versus Mephisto, Vangellys and Bobby Z.
The fourth match includes the Dinamita kids (Sanson & Cuatrero) teaming with Skandalo against Oro and the panther kids. Soberano, probably in his own mask and gear this time, takes on Sangre Azteca in a lightning matches. The segunda match, with Flyer, Robin and Metaleon against Arkangel, Metalico and Canelo Casas and the opener, Ultimo Dragoncito & Aereo vs Demus 3:16, & Mercurio, don’t seem to offer much new or interesting, so maybe you’d like to tune in a little late. (Edit: Wait, Metaleon? That’s new. He’s in for Star Jr.) The show itself is scheduled to start at 7:30pm, and stream on CMLL and YouTube.
Kronosport posted Lady Maravilla’s message about leaving AAA, and it’s not totally clear if she left AAA or if AAA let her go after reading it. (Also, Facebook translates róster to rooster, which is not correct but definitely funny.) She was only rarely used on TV, as AAA have moved away from doing may all women matches. I think they’re down to Taya, Faby Apache, Mary Apache, Lady Shani, La Hiedra as regular, with La Hechicera working occasional house shows, Keira occasionally listed on shows and very occasionally working those shows, and Sexy Star technically employed.
Maybe Lady Apache too, since she’s at least in for the Lucha World Cup. Her photo isn’t on the website, but she talked positively about her participation with +LuchaTV in a video posted today. Could be as simple as they haven’t gotten a recent photo to use yet – they need the green X-Men gear. She’s going to have a busy weekend if her team makes the final: Saturday in Puebla, Sunday in San Francisco for PWR and Sunday back in Mexico City.
Blue Demon was officially added to the Mexico Leyendas team. It’s strange whatever deal needed to be done wasn’t done in time for the press conference last Wednesday, and that the name wasn’t held off until whatever thing they’re doing to announce the rest of the show, but it won’t make much of a difference. LA Park has some thoughts about another member of that team: “if La Parka is a legend, I’m a super mega legend.” (La Parka says he’s not a legend.)
+LuchaTV has an interview with Bobby Z, Dragon Rojo and Polvora hyping themselves as a great trio, so maybe Rey Escorpion really is going with Rush & Pierroth and those three are the Revolucionarios now. Or maybe they’ll change their mind next week. Polvora’s beard is out of control.
There’s also a Mangifico & Templario interview when they say they’re from Ultimo Guerrero’s school, so Magnifico II is training with the same guy as his brother. Maybe Magia Blanca hasn’t been used yet because they’re waiting for Magnifico II to get approved to debut? (But then, no one’s of the trainees are going anywhere.)
A Lucha 2000 interview with Tiago, the ex-Mini Charly Manson, includes him mentioning that he’d be open to fighting minis, but wants to move to the normal division.
El Pancracio has a few articles on Kato Kung Lee: a 2006 interview about his career (his name came about from a EMLL programing department screw up), about his struggle with illness for the last years of his life and about him being honored at the latest Expo Mascaras.

LuchaWorld has this week’s KrisZ’s news update and this week’s PosterMania.
Box Y Lucha is offering discounts for renewals. I finally renewed my subscription yesterday. I could’ve saved $16 if I had waited a few hours.
Sololucha is selling Lucha Underground merchandise in Japan. It looks like mostly the same stuff as in the US, so they’re just importing it.
Lucha Underground Executive Producer Eric Van Wagenen’s other show, the Apprentice, returns in January 2017. LU episodes seem to be finished (with all the extra work done after the live event is finished) a few weeks before they appear, but I wonder if they’ll just keep going and finish off many season 3 shows this fall so Van Wagene can shift to the Apprentice when that show airs.
WillyWanka has a highlight package of Psycho Clown/Dr. Wagner.
Kcidis draws Los Ingobernables breaking up.
