What happened: The last three matches all ended in some sort of issue. Ultimo Guerrero used a ref bump to beat Rush, and La Mascara used a ref bump to beat Carístico (then unmasked him a second time after the match.). The tercera ended with no finish, with Rey Bucanero & Felino coming back in after being eliminated for no real reason. It appeared we’re getting a rematch of the rudos versus rudos match and maybe a Carístico/Mascara singles match next week.
What was good: The Rush/Ultimo Guerrero was exactly what a lot of fun and should be watched.
indy (SUN) 04/24/2016Arena Coliseo Monterrey [Lo Mejor de Lucha Libre]

5) Caifan b Pagano
6) Rey Hechicero b Negro Casas Said to be outstanding, the best match in Monterrey in a while.
Everyone’s raving about the main event. It may air next week on Noches de Coliseo; you never know with that show. (They were actually advertising this show on Saturday’s airing, which I can’t recall them doing prior.) This was Negro Casas’ first match in the building in three years, attendance looked strong, and he was still signing autographs many minutes after the match.
Lucha Memes (SUN) 04/24/2016Coliseo Coacalco, Coacalco, Estado de México [+LuchaTV, Black Terry Jr. (Flickr), R de Rudo]
1) Jinzo b Obscuro
2) Súper Mega b Demasiado bloody match

6) Pantera b Jeque [lightning]
7) Fujin, Okumura, Raijin b Alas de Acero, Aramis, Iron Kid
8) Princesa Sugehit b Keira
Black Terry has highlights from this show, which look nuts. The fifth match is said to be among the best Mexico City matches of the year.
Matches 3/4/5 all got money thrown in (which may mean the few IWRG fans just really like IWRG.) Main event sounds like it didn’t go far, but it’s tough to tell.
Tonight’s Puebla show has Rush taking on Ultimo Guerrero, after they’ve feuded the last couple weeks in Arena Mexico. Ultimo Guerrero leads their all time (non-tournament) series at 3-2, but both Rush’s wins have come in this building. They’ve split the lead up trios, and the outcome could go either way. Rush might be the type of guy to break Ultimo Guerrero out of his usual routine (which might also be tough for him to do with Lashley on Wednesday. It’s a busy week for UG.)
The rest of the show includes both Mistico & Caristico and Cibernetico & Mephisto teaming up in the main event, days before they face they have different partners in the Arena Mexico main event anniversary show. Atlantis & La Mascara round out the trios. The tercera is an unusual Peste Negra/TRV rudo versus rudos match. Asturiano, Meyer, Fuerza Chicana, King Jaguar and Policeman are the locals on the card.
The show starts at the usual 9pm and will air on YouTube.
Fight Network has a story up about carrying CMLL – the Thursday night slot is the usual slot. There’s really no other info, including no mention of announcers, which makes think they may just be running the same tapes as in Mexico with no English announcers.
Dragon Lee says he has a strained knee ligament. As of this point, he hasn’t been taken out of any matches.
What happened:Mistico & Mephisto made the final of the Incredible Pairs tournament. Marco Corleone & Rush and Super Crazy & Felino turned on each other. Cavernario fouled Rey Cometa in the second.
What was good:The minis match and the tercera were the two most watchable matches on this show.
CMLL (SAT) 04/23/2016Arena Coliseo [CMLL]
1) Apocalipsis b Bengala
2) Sensei b Camorra
3) Magnus b Artillero
4) Stigma b Espanto Jr.

7) Ángel de Oro, Atlantis, La Máscara b Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Vangellys La Mascara was no help, but the tecnicos won anyway.
Titan & Panther must’ve been awesome for the fans to throw in money for that match (and the recaps makes it sound as if it was just for the tecnicos.)
CaraLucha (SAT) 04/23/2016Arena San Juan Pantitlan, Ciudad Nezahualcóyotl, Estado de México [+LuchaTV, Black Terry Jr. (Flickr), Carxyus, Estrellas del Ring]

Matches 3 & 4 sound like they were pretty good, and the main event was the moment they wanted it to be. Attendance looks weak, unfortunately.
WMC (SAT) 04/23/2016 Gimansio Hercules, Ciudad de México, Distrito Federal [+LuchaTV, Estrellas del Ring, KronoSport]
1) Felina Metálica b La Heroína, Zuka, Lilith Dark, Star Pink [WMC COPA] Felina defeated Heronia to win.

5) Demasiado b Wotan, Cíclope, Miedo Extremo [WMC HEAVY, #1 Contenders]
Maximo is the WMC champion, so Demasiado will challenge at some point. This indie promotion seems to do more show to show storylines.
CMLL (SUN) 04/24/2016Arena México [CMLL]
1) Demus 3:16 & Pequeño Violencia b Fantasy & Último Dragóncito Dragoncito was stretchered out after the Demus Driver, as normal
2) Cancerbero, Canelo Casas, Raziel b Oro Jr., Soberano Jr., Starman Rudos took 2/3.
3) Estrellita, La Vaquerita, Marcela b Amapola, Tiffany, Zeuxis Vaquerita replaced Sugehit on Wednesday.
4) Dragón Lee, Rey Cometa, Titán b Cavernario, Ephesto, Felino
5) Atlantis, Marco Corleone, Mistico DQ Rey Bucanero, Rey Escorpión, Terrible Terrible fouled Atlantis, who wanted a rematch.
That main event doesn’t seem like a big deal for a rematch, but maybe they’re just not doing a big match.
I’ll save IWRG & Lucha Memes for tomorrow, but the Navarros/Indystongitibles match got really strong reviews from that show.
The Fight Network in Canada says they’ll start airing CMLL on 05/05 (Thursdays) at 9pm. They’ve aired it previously, with English voices overs done in England. I assumes there’s English voiceovers for this show as well, though I haven’t listened to the LAW to know – I literally know no details. It’s nice more CMLL is airing and more people are getting a chance to see it but, since almost everything they’re taping is being broadcast on the internet, it’s unlikely to be new material.
Box Y Lucha 3230 has the 60th Anniversary of Arena Mexico on the cover.

This Sunday show is just a normal card too; so much for my idea they were going to load up the cards.
No Cometa/Cavernario singles match sticks out. Maybe they’re just thinking they’ll build it in front of a bigger card to get people to come back the following week – but there’s at least a chance it’s been moved to Friday with the lightning match now on that day. (Or maybe I’m just hoping it’ll be taped.)
