CMLL (TUE) 03/08/2016 Arena México [thecubsfan, Yahoo! Deportes]
1) El Rebelde & Inquisidor b Flyer & Leono
15:34. Rudos took 1/3.
2) Hombre Bala Jr., Star Jr., Súper Halcón Jr. b El Cuatrero, Sangre Azteca, Sansón
16:57. Tecnicos took 1/3.
3) Zeuxis b Estrellita [lightning]
6:36. Zeuxis won with La Roca.
4) Fujin, Okumura, Raijin b Esfinge, Stigma, Tritón
14:49. Rudos took 2/3.
5) Misterioso Jr., Pierroth, Sagrado b Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., La Máscara
12:51. Rudos took 1/3.
6) Marco Corleone, Titán, Volador Jr. DQ Kráneo, Niebla Roja, Ripper
10:14. Mr. Niebla was double listed here and Guadalajara, and Niebla Roja worked here instead. Straight falls, the last when Kraneo fouled Marco. Marco wanted a mask vs hair match but Kraneo said no.
I didn’t strongly like any of the matches, but the matches were more interesting than on Monday. I didn’t catch a mention of the show being moved to Arena Coliseo next week. There must’ve been one that I missed, but it was not something hammered home by any means.
AAA (TUE) 03/08/2016 Museo Numismático Nacional, Apartado, Distrito Federal
1) Faby Apache, Máscarita Sagrada, Octagoncito b Mini Charly Manson, Mini Psycho Clown, Taya
2) Drago & Fénix b Pentagón Jr. & Taurus
3) Blue Demon Jr., La Parka, Psycho Clown b Averno, Chessman, El Mesías
This was a special show to announce a new project: AAA coins. It’s a partnership with Casa de Moneda de México (the National Mint of Mexico) to make Rey Misterio, La Parka and Psycho Clown coins. They’re oversized coins – they call them medals interchangeably, and that’s probably an easier way to describe the size. The coins will cost Psycho Clown and Parka were there as part of the presentation last night, and part of showing off the coins this morning. They’ll cost 560 Mexican pesos, about $35 US dollars (although other places say it’s cheaper.) Casa de Moneda seems to make many commemorative coins – their website is currently advertising a special coin for the Pope’s visit.
AAA confirmed Octagon Jr. is the mystery luchador teaming with Fenix & Drago against Averno, Chessman & Ricky Marvin on Friday in Naucalpan. He’s likely also the guy for Rey de Reyes, but they haven’t said so yet.
Today’s Lucha Underground episode is the 7th of the season, “Death Comes In Threes”. Matches announced
- The Mack versus Marty the Moth Martinez.
- something with Cage and Johnny Mundo
- Mil Muertes (c) vs Prince Puma vs Pentagon Jr. for the Lucha Underground Championship
There will be a definite winner in the title match this week. A new character will debut on the show. Eric Mutter previews today’s episode. Aztec Warfare is two episodes away.
Ticket reservations for the March tapings – the start of Season 3 – went out last night. If you’re just finding out about them now, it’s too late. The next set of tapings to go out will be April 9, 10, 16, and 17th. Tickets for those should go out around March 28.
The Mexico City Metro’s cover today says an ex-girlfriend has filed a criminal complaint against Trauma II for “violacion & plagio” – holding her against her will and harming her. Metro doesn’t post it’s articles on a website, but you can see the cover on their Facebook site. Furia de Titanes has a grainy photo of the articles, which includes Trauma II responding to and denying the charges. SuperLuchas repeats the details: they broke up in December, and the woman says Trauma II kidnapped her on Sunday, stole her cell phone, tried to get back together with her, got angry when she refused, and beat and raped her before letting her go on Monday. Trauma II strongly denied the story and says he was surprised by the charges.
Trauma II is currently listed as wrestling this Sunday in IWRG.
WildKat Sports posted a note saying Rey Horuz was still hospitalized after taking the Dragon Driver from Dragon Lee on Sunday. Lucha Memes had previously said Horuz has been checked and release from the hospital on Sunday. Either way, I hope he’s got some time off after the scare – the WildKat Sports report says Horuz lost feeling for some time. There’s a full handheld of the match here.
LuchaWorld has the first ever Top 10 Of The Week.
Segunda Caida reviews the most random possible Fenix & Pentagon match.
Arena Coliseo Monterrey says they’ll have Volador I, Octagon, vs Hijo de Pierroth and Hijo de Espectro on 03/20. That match will be so bad and the people who go will be okay with it.
The Japanese team talks about their Dos Leyendas match. Kamaitachi is still sure he’s #1. There’s also a look back at previous Homenaje a Dos Leyendas.
Caifan repeats his challenge to Atlantis. That sounds like a Plaza de Toros Monumental main event.
Lineups
CMLL (TUE) 03/15/2016 Arena Coliseo
1) Flyer & Metatrón vs Artillero & Camorra
2) Magnus, Robin, Star Jr. vs Canelo Casas, Hijo del Signo, Metálico
3) Fuego, Pegasso, Tritón vs Disturbio, Skándalo, Virus
4) Ángel de Oro, Guerrero Maya Jr., Stuka Jr. vs Misterioso Jr., Pierroth, Sagrado
5) Marco Corleone vs Kráneo
6) Súper Porky, Valiente, Volador Jr. vs Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja
I’ve written about this show being moved to Arena Mexico for this date at least three times, and I still wrote it up as being in Arena Mexico this morning. Good luck CMLL!
They got to Marco/Kraneo quick, which is good because they might forget about it otherwise. A bit of a surprise Volador is working a Tuesday show prior to H2L; he’s the only one of the big four who has a match. Not as good as previous weeks.
CMLL (TUE) 03/15/2016 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Reycko & Vaquero Jr. vs Espectrúm & Rey Trueno
2) Cosmos, Shockercito, Stukita vs Pequeño Olímpico, Pierrothito, Relámpago
3) Estrellita, La Vaquerita, Skadi vs La Seductora, Princesa Sugehit, Tiffany
4) Blue Panther, La Máscara, Titán vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora, Ripper
5) Atlantis, Dragón Lee, Mistico vs Cavernario, Felino, Mr. Niebla
Main event is a straight rematch from last week. Imagine if they’re doing Cavernario/Dragon Lee in Guadalajara. Probably a Felino feud instead.
Sugehit is a ruda? Zeuxis is in the US by this time, not sure where Comandante and Amapola and Isis are all at.
MDA ELITE (SUN) 03/20/2016 Arena Naucalpan
1) Chamuel & El Guapito vs Chico Temido & Pequeño Magnífico
2) La Jarochita & Lluvia vs Muñeca De Plata & Rossy Moreno
3) Golden Magic, Metaleón, Último Ninja vs Bestia 666, Halloween, Ninja Jr.
4) Herodes Jr., Mr. Niebla, Sharlie Rockstar vs Damián 666, Mr. Águila, Nicho el Millionario
5) Carístico, Máscara Dorada, Mil Máscaras vs Canek, La Máscara, Negro Casas
Elite probably won’t be running Sunday in Arena Mexico this week, because they’re just out of town. (Again, another arena where they should look better.) Mascara Dorada is too humble of a guy to be in that tecnico trio. Canek is 8 years old than Negro Casas. Mil is 18 years old than Negro Casas.
