5) Atlantis, Carístico, Mistico DQ Euforia, Rey Bucanero, Último Guerrero LA MEJOR LUCHA LIBRE EN VIVO DESDE LA ARENA PUEBLA 29 DE FEBRERO DEL 2016 (posted by VideosOficialesCMLL)
11:45. Tecnicos took 1/3. UG fouled Caristico (first match here in 5 years) after they feuded all match.

Caristico was the most over guy in a show that mostly felt like everyone taking a night off. Nothing you really need to see from the show.

Tonight’s CMLL show is headlined by the Hijos del Infiernos versus Los Divinos Laguneros (the Blue Panthers) for the National Trios Championships. The Panthers won in straight falls last week. It’s more likely the rudos will stay champs, but it’s also been a title with not much interest and a title change is not out of the question.

The rest of the card has interesting people, but maybe not lined up the best for great matches. Fuego, Maya & Cometa take on Boby Z, Rey Bucanero, Vangellys in the semimain. Puma & Tiger team up with Disturbio, facing the overmatched trio of Oro, Pegasso and Stigma. Delta and Sagrado are in the lightning match, the third time they’ve had this match in about a year. (Delta won last March, Sagrado won in November.)

The show starts at 7:30pm, on CMLL.com and YouTube.

CMLL’s Guadalajara show has a Mascara Dorada/Negro Casas CMLL Welterweight Championship. Dorada’s almost definitely winning in his home arena, though Casas did beat Dorada when they met there three years ago. This was a fun match when they had it just before Dorada’s Japan trip, and there’s a chance it could show up later on decades YouTube channel later on.

The most interesting CMLL show tonight is probably the DTU show in Arena Aficion. The main event is Super Mega vs Sharlie Rockstar for the DTU Consgrado championship (which has been used as a secondary title for older guest stars.) There’s a chairs/lamps match with Ciclope & Miedo Extremo vs Ovett & Angel o Demonio, and two ‘interpromotional’ tag matches too interesting for CMLL cards. Titan & Triton take on Rocky Lobo & Lanzeloth, while Fuijin & Rajin face Draztick Boy & Pesadilla. Titan and the NJPW kids have new promos for the show.

DTU also announced a tour of Veracruz to come later this month.

Lucha Underground arrived on iTunes yesterday. The formal press release came out today. It appears it is only available in the US Store at the moment and there is no indication when they might be in other countries. Episodes are $3 in HD, $2 in SD. Season 1 is $35 SD/$45 HD, Season 2 is $30/$40 HD (less episodes.) The season passes are about 50% off the individual episodes; unless you’re picking out a few episodes, it’s a much better deal to just get them all. New episodes will be up the day after they air. The Season 2 debut will be available for free from now until March 28th, and the trailers will be free forever.

Pro Wrestling Sheet first mentioned LU told the the crew plans for iTunes releases when they also announced the Season 3. It was said to be happening in “a few months”, so getting it done in four weeks is ahead of schedule. There’s been nothing else as firm about any other digital outlet, but any progress is good progress.

Kahn del Mal actually wrestled in the Perros versus Psycho Circus cage match on Saturday. He replaced Daga, who was said to be injured and not at the show  Kahn has been on TV as a second with the Perros, but never an active luchador and they may have just used him in the cage match to keep the Perros del Mal theme. It’s still very strange to put a non-wrestler in a match; that seems like something a lucha commission might stop, if they existed. He was the first out.

Matt Cross is off the 03/20 ChilangaMask show due to Lucha Underground commitments. ACH’s opponent is TBA, but they’re saying they found out in plenty of time to get a good replacement.

RobViper has a music video of 08/18/15 CMLL.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update and this week’s PosterMania.

ViceMexico has an article about exoticos (from the recent exoticos heavy WMC show.)

Marcela says the Moreno sisters aren’t prepared enough to fight her. Ayako Hamada apparently was, since she beat Marcela on Sunday in HUMO in what was said to be a good short match. Casandra won the vacant women’s championship in the undercard. She talked about her victory with Furia de Titanes.

Lucha Libre in Japan Not Mexico

02/28 REINA: Silueta & Makoto beat Tsukaka Fujimoto & Akane Fujita

Akebono held a press conference for his upcoming new promotion Royal Road and mentioned there would be an AAA/LU match on the 04/20 debut show. No names announced yet. Like the US shows, it’d probably have to be AAA people who are working under their AAA characters in LU.

WXW announced Black Fire’s schedule for April. He’s in the UK for now.

Jack Evans and Fenix have been added to WrestleCon.

Lineups

CMLL ELITE (SUN) 03/06/2016 Arena Coliseo
1) Hombre Bala Jr. & Robin vs Luzbel & Tanque Infernal
2) La Jarochita & La Vaquerita vs Amapola & Zeuxis
3) Dinamic Black, Metaleón, Rocky Lobo vs Cancerbero, Okumura, Raziel
4) Golden Magic vs Argos
5) Marco Corleone & Volador Jr. vs Negro Casas & Rush
6) Ángel de Oro, Carístico, Mistico vs La Máscara, Mephisto, Niebla Roja

I guess the idea is this is a CMLL/ELITE copromotion, rather than just the Elite shows of previous Sundays. (No Wednesday show yet.) The Elite Cristico/Mascara feud continues, as does the CMLL feuds in the semimain. Luzbel & Tanque Infernal are new names for here, but have previously shown up on FULL shows (where Luzbel was Luzbel Jr.)

CMLL (MON) 03/07/2016 Arena Puebla
1) Rey Samuray & Zaeta Roja vs Rey Apocalipsis & Toro Bill Jr.
2) Black Tiger, Robin, Sensei vs Artillero, Camorra, King Jaguar
3) La Vaquerita, Lluvia, Princesa Sugehit vs Amapola, La Comandante, Tiffany
4) Máximo Sexy, Súper Porky, Titán vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora, Rey Escorpión
5) Carístico, Máscara Dorada, Mistico vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Último Guerrero

Slow build to Caristico. No build to Zeuxis/Sugehit; Zeuxis is around on Sunday but not on this show. Batillon del Muerte in the opener should be fun, but the rest of this card might not be so great.
