Los Ingobernables

took place Arena Puebla, 01/25/2016
Recapped: 01/25/16

What happened: Rush challenged Thunder to a wrestling match for some reason. (Thunder cheated him out of a win, but still.) Delta also challenged the Boricuas to a win for equally unsound reasons. No tribute to Espectrito.

What was good: The first two matches were good. The rest was forgettable.

Where can I watch it: It’s on CMLL’s YouTube channel.

Match 1: Astro & Asturiano vs Mini Joker & Saurón
Arena Puebla, 01/25/2016

  1. rudos
    • Mini Joker cradle powerbomb Asturiano (5:08)
    • Ares seated armbar Astro (5:40)
  2. tecnicos
    • Astro crab Ares (3:28)
    • Asturiano springboard tope Mini Joker (3:31)
  3. tecnicos
    • Asturiano grapevine Mini Joker (2:31)
    • Astro quebrada moonsault Ares (3:02)

Winner: tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 12:13

Review: [good] strong performance for the most part, with the notable exception of the near death to close the match. Mini Joker and Asturiano were working really well up to that point, with Asturiano’s headscissors looking really good the rest of way and Mini Joker looking better this partner. The other two guys were alright.

Match 2: Black Tiger, Starman, Tritón vs El Cuatrero, King Jaguar, Sansón
Arena Puebla, 01/25/2016

  1. rudos
    • Sanson guillotine knee drop Triton (7:03)
  2. tecnicos
    • Triton guillotine legdrop Cuatrero (4:24)
  3. tecnicos
    • Black Tiger senton con giro Cuartero (5:02)
    • Sanson running boot Black Tiger (5:27)
    • Triton 450 splash King jaguar (6:31)

Winner: tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 17:58

Review: [good] this was the main TV/Internet debut for the Sanson & Cuartero duo (they might have made Guadalajara TV prior) and it was promising. They moved around well, were willing to do a lot, and had a few decent offensive spots. There were times were Tiger and Starman looked like the kids were in not quite in the right place at the right time, but it didn’t show much otherwise. Triton mostly worked with King Jaguar, and had a good day himself. This was a good start of the new guys, and it looks like they aren’t simply here because of their background.

    • Stigma inside cradle Misterioso (2:38)
    • Delta inside cradle Sagrado (2:38)
  3. tecnicos
    • DQ Pierroth [foul to Delta] (6:09)

Winner: tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 12:37
Notes: Delta demanded a rematch.

Review: [ok] It’s a Boricua match, versus a bunch of guys who strictly follow their own formula as well. The triple roll up spot in the second fall was good. Everything generally went well, this is just disposible stuff.

Match 4: Ángel de Oro, Máximo, Valiente vs Euforia, Felino, Gran Guerrero
Arena Puebla, 01/25/2016

  1. tecnicos

  2. rudos

    • Maximo half crab Euforia (2:30)

Winner: tecnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 9:40
Review: [ok] a match! They took it easy, they didn’t much, Gran Guerrero can’t do much, and then there was a finish. You don’t expect much out of a Felino & Gran Guerrero team, you aren’t that disappointed. Even Zacarias mostly took the night off.

Match 5: La Máscara, Marco Corleone, Rush vs Kráneo, Ripper, Thunder
Arena Puebla, 01/25/2016

    • Kraneo hip smash La Mascara (2:31)
  3. rudos
    • DQ Rush [Thunder mask toss] (5:26)

Winner: rudos (2-1)
Match Time 10:15

Rush demanded a singles match with Thunder after being cheated. Thunder said yes.

Review: [ok] This was a little more effort than the previous match, but didn’t stick out much. Invasors as pseudo tecnicos was amusing and the Ingobernables set them up well for them. Thunder/Rush is only promising in a freakshow sort of way, but a freakshow is what we’re going to get.
