AAA on Televisa: 2015-12-05

Aereo de Juarez

Recapped: 12/23/2015

What happened: Pirata beat Electroshock via totally seen foul. Garza got a win. Zorro was sad about losing.

What was good: There were a few good moments, but no strong matches. This is a skipable show unless you want the novelty of seeing the Juarez guys on an AAA show.

Where can I watch it: It’s on my channel and AAA’s channel.

Match 1: Aéreo, Dragón, Latino vs Centinela, Mr. Alfa, Pagano
Gimnasio Municipal Josué Neri Santos, Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, 11/15/2015

Winner: rudos (Pagano frog splash Latino)
Match Time: 10:41
Notes: This was a dark match, but added to TV after Guerra de Titanes was postponed. You can tell because they have a local referee doing the match. AAA goes with the Mr. “Alpha” spelling. He and Centinela are wearing Arena Kalaka shirts.

Review: [ok] I wanted to like this match more than I did, and it wasn’t until the last blown spot where I mentally dropped it from good. There’s a lot of effort and some very good stuff, but there’s a lot of messy looking wrestling and not well done spots mixed in too. Maybe it was nerves. It was easier to follow than most random local matches on AAA TV, because the heel team was all helpfully wearing black shirts. Centinela stood out more when I saw him live; going to a normal hair cut doesn’t help him (but that’s probably not a lucha decision.) Aereo was the obvious standout, even beyond the rope waling spot of doom. He needs to show up in more places outside of Juarez, but we’ve been saying that for years. Seems notable that he had Pagano there to catch his biggest moves.

don’t celebrate
not much room to pull this off
why leave this in?

Match 2: Garza Jr., Monsther Clown, Murder Clown vs Dark Cuervo, Dark Scoria, Zorro
Gimnasio Municipal Josué Neri Santos, Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, 11/15/2015

Winner: tecnico (Garza Jr. rolled thru huracanrana Cuervo)
Match Time: 12:22
Notes: Announcers note this is Garza’s first win. After the match, Zorro bemoans yet another loss, complains about three lost years, and says they all (Secta included) need a change so people know the name Zorro.

Review: [ok] could not get interested in this match; this is not the best of tecnico sides and the rudos didn’t do much in their long control segment. The last few minutes got a lot more interesting but not enough to justify the whole thing. Garza’s win was the right point in the match, but not on a move I’m used to seeing people winning. Zorro’s speech actually sounded more like something he’d say on his way out of the promotion more than a setup for a new trio.

Cuervo senton con giro

  • interview with Coordinator Museo AAA Denise Vazquez about the exhibit at MODO.

  • AAA luchadors meet the Sacrament Kings meet AAA luchadors

  • AAA luchadors visit the Magia de un Deseo holiday party

  • Johnny Mundo promo on Rey from Xalapa. There’s a big edit, which is probably to remove the Guerra de Titanes mention.

  • Rey Misterio, angry about his blood being split, says he’s going for Mundo’s hair.

  • Psycho Clown talks about his mask that’s on display – it’s the one from his mask versus hair match with Texano Jr.

The Rey/Mundo trios match from last week is repeated.

Match 3: Blue Demon, Electroshock, La Parka vs Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Parka Negra, Taurus
Gimnasio Municipal Josué Neri Santos, Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, 11/15/2015

Winner:rudos (Hijo del Pirata Morgan foul kick Electroshock)
Match Time: 13:28
Notes: Rudos jump the tecnicos. Pirata’s foul on Electroshock seemed rather obvious and was sold as a foul, but referee Copetes saw it and treated it as a legal maneuver. The tecnicos complained after. They didn’t show a replay.

Review: [ok] a standard AAA main event trios, though instead of this trio just going thru their offense (because they don’t have a lot of offense), the rudos just hit each other a lot. They did build the whole match towards Electroshock & Pirata and did a good job treated that like a real issue, with it descending into a fist fight at the end. Finish was strange. Blue Demon Jr. should request to work with Taurus the rest of his life because Demon looked super agile with help from the man-bull.

an umbrella!
Taurus works very hard
Parka Negra knocked back to oblivion
