C3’s usual stream didn’t work. I got the backup stream working during the second match. I should have a full version of that, and the HD version of Azteca, later on Tuesday. Watch this space.
Edit: I’ve added HD versions of the Azteca matches.
Edit 2: I’ve added TV versions of the C3 matches, including a complete version of the segunda.

CMLL (SUN) 08/23/2015 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [Fuego en el Ring]
1) Quca & Relampago b El Tapatío & Johnny Dinamo
2) El Alteño, León Blanco, Metatrón b El Gitano, Gran Kenut, Tigre Blanco
Tigre Blanco (from Mazatlan, not the CMLL wrestler) replaced Furia Roja. Metatron beat Gitano.
3) Exterminador & Furia Roja DQ Mr. Trueno & Rey Trueno
Furia Roja replaced Malefico (too hurt to wrestle), which was a problem since Furia Roja is trios champion with the Truenos. Furia betrayed Exterminador, but the Truenos got DQed for excessive violence. Thunder Boy & Malefico made the save, setting up a trios title match.
4) Antrax Infernal, Príncipe Kisho, Terremoto King Jr. b Esfinge, Gallo, Magnum
Terremoto King Jr. replaced Kempo Dragon on Friday and Antrax Infernal replaced Relampago on the day of the show. The Mazatlan rudos got the win when Kisho stripped pulled Esfinge’s mask and pinned him.
5) Frezzer b El Yaqui [mask]
Yaqui took the first, was DQed in the second for excessive violence, and he got cradled when trying a leglock in the third fall. This is Freezer’s first mask win. Yaqui is Juan José Ramos, 28 years old, 6 a luchador, from Guadalajara.
#TeamFrezzer
There’s a lot more storylines going on these shows than in recent past (or a week of CMLL DF shows, which is another indication CMLL’s letting the local people do whatever they’d like with this weekly show.) Everything seems to make sense, so you only hope it’s working.
CMLL (MON) 08/24/2015 Arena Puebla [CMLL]
1) Astro, Asturiano, Stukita b Ares, Espíritu Maligno, Saurón
Stukita replaced Angelito on Monday. Tecnicos took 2/3 in the best match of the night.
2) La Comandante, Tiffany, Zeuxis b Estrellita, Lluvia, Marcela
Rudas took 2/3.
3) La Máscara, Máximo, Super Porky DQ Cavernario, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas
Volador moved up to replace Mascara (and Mascara replaced Mistico). Usual Alvarado special, with them taking 2/3 and Niebla unmasking Mascara for the DQ.
4) Euforia, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero b La Sombra, Valiente, Volador Jr.
Sombra and Volador had minor skirmishes, but didn’t completely fall apart. Sombra was busier fighting with UG, who beat him in the third (Guerreros took 1/3) with a Pulpo Guerrero. UG challenged Sombra to a title match next week, and Sombra accepted.
5) Atlantis b Mephisto © [MEX LH]
Atlantis took falls 2/3, the last with the Atlantida, to win the title. Mephisto falls in his 14th defense after a two year reign.
A skippable show. Opener was the best match and even then they were stuck with the usual opener restrictions. Super Porky, Maximo and La Mascara matches are over with the crowd and I totally understand why they keep doing them but, as a person watching matches to find something interesting, I never really need to watch another one of them again. Atlantis has a limited amount of stuff he can do at this point and needs a dynamic performer to go against him. Mephsito kinda of needs the same thing.
Two title changes in August switch hands, but Atlantis & Mephisto both remain champions and CMLL gets to it’s magic 16 champions number. The trade off is Ephesto & Luciferno are champions instead of Guerrero Maya & Delta, which is not an upgrade.
CMLL’s main event today has La Mascara, Maximo, and Titan versus Gran Guerrero, Kamaitachi and Ultimo Guerrero. The preview wonders if Mascara and Maximo will get along; in reality, they have few problems with each other as long as Sombra & Rush aren’t around. The lightning match is Dark Angel versus Zeuxis, a first time ever singles match which sounds fun.
An IWRG news update announces a few upcoming shows: the Gran Cruzado (second Rey del Ring match) on 09/06, the all championships match show on 10/04 and “Guerra de Empressa” on 10/18.
Angelico & Psycho Clown defeated Texano Jr. & Hijo del Fantasma in Guadalajara. Arena Jalisco looks full or close to it.
Alberto el Patron will defend the WWL Heavyweight Championship against Mesias in Puerto Rico on September 19.
DTU is teasing a one time only thing involving Los Nerds for their September 17th show. My guess is they’re not going to do their homework.
LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update and this week’s Poster-Mania, as well as a new edition of the podcast.
Konnan made a gossip column for putting a hand on a female TV presenter as a joke, and she screamed at him. Konnan is reported as saying something like “you’re not that good”, which caused her to explode on him. The story is more about how often this sort of thing happens to female TV presenters than Konnan.
I can’t recall if I’ve noted this before, but there’s a luchador bodybuilding contest this weekend in Gimnasio Juan de la Barrera. It’s the CMLL bodybuilding contest, but open to everyone (so AAA and indy people), where the prizes are money instead of a vague idea of a better spot on the card. Also, Gronda XXX.
Chessman says Psycho Clown doesn’t deserve to be champion.
Carta Brava promo for the upcoming CaraLucha show.
Zuzu Divine talks about challenging for the WWS championship soon.
Lineups
CMLL (SUN) 08/30/2015 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Linterna & Mr. Apolo vs Black Sugar & Mercenario
2) Capitan Cobra, El Alteño, Reycko vs Demonio Rojo, Mr. Brisa, Relampago
Demonio Rojo replaced Gitano on Tuesday.
3) León Blanco, Nube Roja, Toro Negro vs El Chakal, El Gitano, Évola
Gitano replaced Thunder Boy on Tuesday.
4) Darkfire, Frezzer, Omar Brunetti vs El Yaqui, Joker, Payaso Infernal
Darkfire replaced Nautilius, Payaso Infenral replaced Sadico on Tuesday.
5) Furia Roja, Mr. Trueno, Rey Trueno vs Exterminador, Maléfico, Thunder Boy [OCCIDENTE TRIOS]
Furia Roja & Thunder Boy added to the match when it was changed from Super Libre to a Trios Title match on Tuesday. First defense
I posted this previously, but it’s changed around a fair bit after Sunday’s show to accommodate the trios title match.
Darkfire (usually Dark Fire) and Payaso Infernal are more guys in from Sinaloa.
CMLL (MON) 08/31/2015 Arena Puebla
1) La Vaquerita, Marcela, Skadi vs La Seductora, Tiffany, Zeuxis
2) Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Stigma vs Kamaitachi, Morphosis, Okumura
3) Blue Panther, Stuka Jr., Super Porky vs Kráneo, Olímpico, Ripper
4) La Máscara, Marco Corleone, Máximo vs Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas, Shocker
5) La Sombra © vs Último Guerrero [NWA MIDDLE]
Sombra’s seventh defense
No locals on the show, which is a very rare event. They really should add one, since five matches turns out to be a short show and there’s a lot of matches which don’t need the time or shouldn’t get the time.
ChilangaMask (SUN) 09/06/2015 Coliseo Coacalco, Coacalco, Estado de México
1) Astro Rey Jr. & Psycho Kid vs Dragón Fly & Hijo Del Angel
2) Fulgor I, Fulgor II, Inmortal vs Alas de Acero, Aramis, Iron Kid and Arez, Belial, Impulso
3) Karma vs Black Drago
4) Black Terry & Jeque vs Caifan & Tigre Universitario
5) Aero Boy & Masada (CZW) vs Cíclope & Pagano and Ray Rowe & Violento Jack
6) Silueta vs India Sioux
Full card for the next ChilangaMask show. I’d assume the hardcore match goes last. Less CMLL people (only really Silueta) but a lot of indy people who should have good matches.
I watch a lot of stuff in hopes of random really good trios matches. This had one of those!

AAA TV (SUN) 09/20/2015 Arena Jose Sulaiman, Monterrey, Nuevo Leon
1) Dinastía, Goya Kong, Pimpinela Escarlata vs ?, Mamba, Mini Charly Manson
2) Aerostar, Argenis, Drago vs Dark Cuervo, Dark Scoria, Machine Rocker
3) Angélico & Jack Evans vs Joe Lider & Pentagón Jr. and Daga & Steve Pain
4) Monsther Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown vs Cibernético, Hijo del Fantasma, Texano Jr.
5) La Parka & Rey Mysterio Jr. vs Brian Cage & Myzteziz
Air Date: 09/26. Surprising this is a one week taping. If the Hard Rock show is as well (it should be, it might not be), that means they’ve got to squeeze in one more taping to cover the week before Heroes Inmortales and probably the weekend after as well.
KDNA did say they were posting this lineup on Monday; KrisZ remembered.
At any rate, this is pretty close to the go home show for Heroes Inmortales – we should know the card by the time this airs, if not soon after – and it doesn’t seem like the set up to any big matches. Myzteziz/Myzterio are in a tag match here, figure to be in a main event team match on that show as well keep them against each other without doing the rematch. Brian Cage or Myzteziz working comedy spots with La Parka seems like a hilarious waste of paying them for the night. Not to mention your killer anti-Mexican rudo and your edgy new rudo standing around while Parka merrily skips back and forth on the ropes doesn’t seem to help them too much. (I guess it works if they straight up destroy Parka, but I don’t know that’s the idea.)
Semimain might be setting up a Hell Brothers/Psycho Circus trios title match – they haven’t had one yet without a third team being involved or a case of missing Cibernetico – but it also just might be getting people on the card. Tercera is a replay from Puebla (a week from tonight), with the maybe Anarkia team replacing La Secta. Joe Lider & Pentagon and Angelico & Jack are constants and would make sense for an AAA tag title match at Heroes Inmortales, with other teams thrown in as well.
Second match has no storyline but could steal the show, which is saying something given how good the tercera could be. It’s a really good tecnico team, a motivated Cuervo & Scoria, and the resurgent Machine Rocker. Aerostar is going to do something crazy and Machine Rocker is going to save him from dying, probably. Opener may or may not make TV – the opener on a five match show usually doesn’t – and there’s no telling if they’ll be back to putting matches on the internet a month from now. Best not to think about it too much, though it’s notable for being a mystery ruda luchadora spot instead of just Taya or even La Hiedra. I guess it could’ve been Sexy and they removed her after he injury, but that would be much faster work than usual.
We’re still missing the Hard Rock lineup in between Puebla and this show, but it’s notable Alberto el Patron isn’t on either show. He’s surely on Heroes Inmortales since it’s in San Luis Potosi. This cycle of shows are all Rey Mysterio & [X] against Myzteziz & [Y], and maybe Alberto just fits in as X on that show (and gets the pin on Cage or whomever to finally get the SLP win while leaving Rey & Myzteziz untouched.)
I don’t suspect we’ll be getting that Hard Rock lineup until AAA releases it – the hotel doesn’t need to advertise matches to get people to stay – but at least next Monday’s show will get some AAA news going again.
Toryumon Mexico (SUN) 08/23/2015 Domo del Deportivo Plan Sexenal, Distrito Federal [Estrellas del Ring, Kronosport]
1) Chapulin b Sonic
2) Fiero & Principe Azgard b Douki &Hanaoka
3) India Sioux & Lluvia b Tiffany & Xena
4) Hombre Bala Jr., Pantera I, Super Ciudadano bArkángel de la Muerte, Patán, Piel Roja
5) Rey Bucanero & Último Guerrero b Máximo & Último Dragón
match come down to the Ultimos, with Guerrero fouling Dragon, Maximo fouling Dragon, and Arkangel running into to unmask Dragon to give UG the win.
The usual Ultimo Dragon show, though they were using sponsor (?) NSK as the promotion name for whatever reason. (It’s under Toryumon Mexico so I can find it again.) Attendance looked OK.
IWRG (SUN) 08/23/2015 Arena Naucalpan [+LuchaTV, Black Terry Jr. (Flickr), Estrellas del Ring, Mano a Mano]
1) Aramis & Voltar b Magnum 44 & Vardeus
Vardeus’ main show debut; he’s been on the trainee shows for a year.
2) Avisman & Imposible b Kaving & Ultraman
Looks like it could be a new Ultraman, but nothing’s mentioned about a change in the recaps. First appearance by an Ultraman or Kaving since 2012.
3) Diablo Jr. 1 & El Hijo del Diablo b Hijo del Pantera & Pantera [super libre]
straight falls, setting up a title match
4) Negro Navarro, Oficial 911, Oficial AK47 b Danny Casas, Eterno, Veneno
Bloody match, with the Oficials attacking Eterno.
5) Golden Magic b Súper Nova © [IWRG JUNIORS]
Golden Magic wins the title by taking falls 2/3. Super Nova falls in his second defense. Golden Magic challenged Nova for a title match next week.
6) Canis Lupus, Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr., Pagano DQ LA Park, Trauma I, Trauma II
First Park match in IWRG in a year. Pagano’s debut on an IWRG show, though he’s wrestled here for other promotions. Traumas side is mentioned as being tecnico side, but it might have been rudo vs rudo. LA Park & Pagano feuded, with LA Park disassembling a turnbuckle and hitting Pagano with it repeatedly until the referees gave up and DQed him. All sorts of challenges followed, including a cage match.
LA Park, showing the skills he’ll undoubtedly bring to CMLL, started taking apart the ring during the match to set up the finish. This is great, if random, build to the LA Park vs Pagano vs Rush match in Cara Lucha next month.
I really have trouble figuring out who’s a tecnico or rudo in IWRG. I feel skeptical Golden Magic/Super Nova for the masks is actually happening until the card is announced: Super Nova would seem to be the favorite (just because it’d also seem like he could get a bigger match out of a mask loss if he wanted to lose it), but it doesn’t make any sense for Golden Magic to be an unmasked character. I dunno.
Tonight’s Arena Puebla show will have Mephisto defending the Mexican national light heavyweight championship against Atlantis. Atlantis really should win: he should be winning any singles match from now to the Anniversary show, Mephisto just won the trios titles and isn’t a guy who needs two titles, and Atlantis winning give CMLL 16 champions (and one Mascara Dorada) to run it’s Universal tournament. It makes sense for him to not win if he’s losing his mask at the anniversary show and really retiring immediately (as he’s suggested he would in years past), so no title change would feel like a hint. Atlantis could also just lose because Sombra costs him the match, and Sombra is in the semimain tonight.
It’s only a five match Puebla show, so it should be a quick one. Negro Casas is listed as wrestling in the tercera but probably won’t be. There’s no really great match listed; the opener, the semimain and the main event all have promise, but nothing must see.
UPDATE: CMLL just posted adjusted lineups for the week. Mistico is out of action (likely due to the shoulder injury he appeared to suffer on Sunday). La Mascara will take his place in Puebla and Tuesday in Arena Mexico, Marco fills in on Friday and Blue Panther will work Arena Coliseo. Tonight’s Arena Puebla show also now has Volador in the tercera instead of Rush and Stukita working the opener in place of Angelito.
Sexy Star says she fractured her clavicle. She’s was wrestling in Reynosa on Sunday. That’s an injury that’d take someone out of the ring for months.
Naito is on NJPW’s next tour, so the stories of him coming to CMLL in September repeated here do not appear to be correct. (Naito starting a feud with Shibata should’ve been a clue.) This is a minor issue lost in the Anniversary news, but Sombra ought to be very busy in Mexico for the next few months regardless of what happens in the mask match and it wouldn’t make sense for CMLL to let him go away for a month. The Naito & Sombra teamup might have to wait to December if Naito doesn’t make it back to Mexico.
Ultimo Guerrero says he prefers the Anniversary main event remain a one versus one match (and that he and Thunder are not added to it.) He doesn’t think it’s changing, but says it’s up to CMLL.
Box Y Lucha 3201 has Dr. Wagner Jr. & LA Park to CMLL as bigger news than the Anniversary show. There an argument there. There’s also note to the reader, acknowledge how infrequently they’ve been printing the last six months (or more) and explaining they’re raising the price 20 pesos to survive. They’ve been back to regular publishing the last few weeks.
Segunda Caida reviews Dr. Cerbero vs Virus.
AAA luchadors appeared at a air show. They didn’t have Fuerza Aerea meet Fuerza Aerea; maybe next year.
Lineups
CMLL (SAT) 08/29/2015 Arena Coliseo
1) Aéreo vs Pequeño Nitro
2) Magnus vs Akuma
3) Soberano Jr. vs Súper Comando
4) Star Jr. vs Metálico
5) Pegasso vs Sangre Azteca
6) Blue Panther Jr. & Esfinge vs Hechicero & Luciferno
7) La Máscara, Mistico, Titán vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora, Rey Escorpión
Not sure what Hechicero did to get stuck in that match.
CMLL (SUN) 08/30/2015 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Linterna & Mr. Apolo vs Black Sugar & Mercenario
2) Capitan Cobra, El Alteño, Reycko vs Gitano, Mr. Brisa, Relampago
3) León Blanco, Nube Roja, Toro Negro vs El Chakal, Évola, Thunder Boy
4) Frezzer, Nautilius, Omar Brunetti vs El Yaqui, Joker, Sádico
5) Mr. Trueno & Rey Trueno vs Exterminador & Maléfico [super libre]
Teams in the main event made in the tercera last night, so it probably didn’t end well.
