- Guerreros
- DQ Thunder [ref attack] (2:05)
- Guerreros
- DQ Thunder [foul on Ultimo Guerrero] (5:38)
Winner: Guerreros (2-1)
Match Time: 7:43
Notes: Revolucionarios have matching skull masks, and try jumping the Guerreros by using chains. The chains aren’t used well or at all, but the Revolucionarios do gain the early advantage. Revolucionarios attempt to get the stomp excessive violence DQ, then Thunder just throws Babe Richard down to get it. Guerreros turn it around when the Revolucionarios try the flying sit spot. UG tried his senton de la muerte on Thunder twice. Once, Thunder bailed and UG did his new ramp dive instead. The second time, Thunder just go up and fouled him to end the match.
Review: [ok] A lot angle, a few minutes of a match. Not a good few minutes. The minute of UG clotheslining Thunder did not look much good. The match was focused on that matchup, since Thunder just turned last week, but it didn’t produce anything good. It’s for the best they’ve moved away from that as the singles feud, though it seems like they’re delaying an inevitability. Lots of the Guerreros working as técnicos, which is not what they do well but is 90% we see of them.

Review: [below average] I don’t really understand why they can’t just air the En Busca de un Idolo matches. They could cut out the judging to save time, but it’s not like they’re saving those for another channel. They haven’t been good, but seven minute three fall matches aren’t really good either, especially when the first two minutes are Misterioso and Pegasso just killing time on the mat before a big edit takes us to the actual action. The grade is more representative of the time they had than the match itself, though they didn’t look especially good in the time. Any other match you see with any one in this match is likely to be better.

Review: [great] loved this match and could justify rating it even higher. This is a great fight, with two teams slugging it out over mutual hatred. This is a lot what the Guerreros/Revolucionarios feud wants to be hasn’t yet achieved. It was chaotic, it was angry, it wasn’t smooth at times, but it felt like both sides really cared about destroying each other. Sombra & Rush are just so good as rudos, and it’s insane the whole promotion isn’t built around this dynamic. Diamante Azul, as guy who will stand up (and occasionally forget to sell) for the Ingobernables is a perfect role for him, and they did a great job of building to a Rush/Azul match. I’m not sure it’s ever happening, but they made me want it to happen. This is what CMLL could be with just a small change.

I agree with your assessment of the Revolucionarios / Guerreros feud in that it lacks a real sense of hatred between the two factions.
