Demus is just weird

A good minis match and not much else.

    • Pequeño Nitro hammerlock backcracker Eléctrico (4:12)
    • Pequeño Olímpico grounded octopus Astral (4:14)
  2. técnicos
    • COR rudos (5:11)
  3. técnicos
    • Eléctrico springboard elbow Pequeño Olímpico (3:31)
    • Shockercito flipping armdrag into an armbar Demus (4:18)

Winner: técnicos (2-1)

Notes: técnico dives set up the countout in the second.

Pequeno Olimpico trolling the Troll

Review: [good] mostly for the efforts of Demus. Other people were positive or at least present, but Demus was crazier than usual. He’s a much more charismatic técnico than the people who are actually técnicos, and the running feud with Shockercito has produced some fun interaction. Demus’ hair is getting really long. Astral clearly spends a lot of time on his look and ended up looking bloated. That’s unfortunate.

probably don’t let him run by you like that

Match 2: Atlantis, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Vangellys

didn’t quite work as well as usual
  1. rudos
    • Rey Bucanero huracanrana roll thru Atlantis (4:00)
    • Terrible inside cradle Delta (4:04)
  2. técnicos
    • DQ rudos [excessive violence?] (3:19)
  3. técnicos
    • Terrible mask rip Atlantis (4:29)

Winner: técnicos (2-1)
Match Time: 11:52
Notes: The second fall ended when Vangellys pinned Maya with his northern lights suplex, Bucanero tried to break it up with stomps, the referee (Juan) counted three anyway, the rudos continued to stomp Maya, and the referee decided it was not a DQ. Terrible shoved down the referee after the fact.

Review: [ok] This match was about putting over not-TRT strong, which led to that second fall finish was a complete mess. Even the editors had no idea what happened there and didn’t replay the DQ call. Rudos were seemingly being set up for a title match. Match slowed down a lot after the first fall and it didn’t seem we exactly missed out on not getting the title match. The whole series with delta in the third fall looked messed up and the rudos even struggled ripping up Atlantis’ mask.

Match 3: Mistico, Valiente, Volador Jr. vs Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero

luckily, there are plenty of suddenly open seats
  1. Guerreros
    • Ultimo Guerrero senton de la Muerte (2:27)
    • Ultimo Guerrero Pulpo Guerrero Volador Jr. (2:37)
  2. Sky Team
    • Volador top rope headscissors Gran Guerrero (2:08)
    • Valiente Indian Deathlock Niebla Roja (2:15)
  3. Sky Team
    • La Mistica on Ultimo Guerrero (1:51)

Winner: Sky Team (2-1)
Match Time: 6:43

Review: [ok] quick match which hit the highlights between these two teams but didn’t have much depth and will probably be superseded by a better match between these teams (or already has). Ultimo Guerrero took all of Mistico’s moves, except for him pulling Gran Guerrero off the careta with a headscissors and almost dropping him on his head. So maybe UG should’ve taken that one too. There wasn’t time for much anything but Místico in this one.

an old MIstico spot the new one hasn’t done much
