That’s two straight weeks for the foreigners (who don’t have that much hair to lose.)

Yuca beat Miss Janeth in a mask versus hair matches on a Leyendas Inmortales show on Sunday. Yuca bled a lot, but took falls 2/3 to keep her mask. The third fall included run-ins by both seconds and Yuca using an unseen martinete for the win. Miss Janeth got part of her hair cut, but all the photos show her still with hair. (If Miss Janeth got her head shaved, it happened back stage.) Main event had Canek, Canek Jr., and Rey Hechicero defeated Zandao, Blue Panther (sub for Dos Caras) and As Charro Jr. Not sure what’s going on with their TV show. No new episode in over a month.

Mr. Niebla, Rey Bucanero and Tyson las Bestia defeated the Traumas & Eterno in WMC. Trauma II left the match with a knee injury.

LuchaRama, a marathon show with a ton of promotions, appears to be coming back this year on September 19th. That’s the day (and probably night) after the Anniversary show.

Hijo del Fantasma has a goal: “I would like to be president.” (I think he would be a good one, but also this should be his new gimmick.)

The main event of an Sunday show in Texcoco was supposed to be Dr. Wagner Jr. & Volador vs La Sombra & Rush. It was not, with Dr. Wagner blaming CMLL for pulling the guys rather than let them wrestle him. This is one of those times where CMLL could even be in the right, but anyone who went to that show expecting to see those CMLL guys probably blames CMLL for it. CMLL could’ve been proactive, very rarely is. They’re active enough to tell their guys they can’t work, but that’s as far as they go.

NJPW announced it’s lineups for their G1 tour. Ricochet challenging KUSHIDA for the IWGP Junior Championship was not announced for the final. It still could be announced for that show, or added to any other show, but that’s a bit of a surprise. Anything beyond the G1 tour would start to mean Ricochet wouldn’t be available for September Lucha Underground tapings (which appeared to be original plan for Season 2.)

Reyes del Atlantida defend the national trios championship against the Invasors in Puebla. Title change would be a little bit of a surprise, would not have any affect on the Universal title tournament. Puebla’s Anniversary show is two weeks ago, so this would also be the show to set up that main event.

RobViper has a music of 03/13/15 CMLL.

SuperLuchas writes about the debut of luchador El Halcon – or, if you were writing rival magazine Lucha Libre, Enrique Vera’s unnamed partner.

LV reviews last week’s CMLL.

Super Libre had interviews with Ringo Mendoza, Rey Escorpion and Satanico.

Segunda Caida reviews the two Damian vs Satanico hair matches.

Box Y Luchas looks back to 1970 and Solitario beating Rene Guajardo for the NWA middleweight championship.

  1. That is an.interesting and frustrating article on Solitario, sources i have seen put Masio Koma as the champ in 1970, having beaten Solitario…. but this article makes me question if that is right. Or perhaps this was not actually 1970???
