2) Magnum, Robin, Sensei b Camorra, Cholo, Ráfaga

5) Mistico, Valiente, Volador Jr. b Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero
Tecnicos took 2/3. Mistica on Ultimo Guerrero for the win.

TRT versus the Atlantida repeats into next week. Not sure if they were following up on the Shockercito/Demus feud or it if it was simply usual noise.

Black Terry trainees vs Eterno trainees. Atomic Boy betrayed the Black Terry team and Aeroman in particular, helping Aramis win. Eterno declared he wanted to now be the main trainer for IWRG and challenged Terry to a singles match next week.

An Eterno coup! Atomic Boy wore an Eterno t-shirt for years, so Black Terry probably should’ve seen that one coming. He’s lucky Electro Boy didn’t turn too.

Verano de Escandalo is officially an iPPV. This price this time is $15USD. I think this is end up doing worse the Lucha World Cup, because it falls on the same day as WWE’s Money in the Back and so the casual outside of Mexico viewers who sampled that probably won’t be back for this one. Still should be a good show, just happening on a tough date.

This week’s Observer talks about some of the politics of the Lucha World Cup teams. When ROH announced Moose & ACH as their reps, it seemed strange AAA couldn’t get bigger stars for the promotion (though both ended up doing well.) The WON explains there was an issue with ROH even sending people at all, because NJPW wants ROH to only work with CMLL in Mexico. That’s also why ROH never promoted their participation on the show. AAA actually asked for AJ Styles (for the World Cup and other shows), but were turned down because of AJ’s deal with NJPW. It’s not said if AAA asked for anyone else, but it seems likely anyone else in ROH who’s worked for NJPW (like ReDragon) or expects to (like the Briscoes) would’ve also have similar issues. That’s how you end up with ACH and Moose, though it’s also a reason it might be tough for AAA to bring those guys back. It seems kind of an unfair imposition on ROH, because CMLL hasn’t booked American outsiders from a different promotion in about a decade and there’s no sign of that changing. Still, of all these interpromotional talent sharing, it’s likely the most money is made on those CMLL-NJPW FantasticaMania tours and NJPW’s not going to jeopardize those.

The newsletter also mentioned Victoria was “thrilled” with how the reaction to Lucha World Cup. The plan is still for it to be a yearly event. My thinking is Victoria would have to stay on board to make it happen, so them being thrilled sounds like it may.

ChilangaMask added Belial, Arez, and Impulso vs Alas de Acero, Aramis and Iron Kid to their 06/21 Coaclaco show, which follows up with those trios fighting on the previous one. They also announced some sort of deal with Chikara wrestlings coming to Mexico, but no details yet.

Apolo Valdes has a great column about the struggles for young wrestlers: the difficult start into the lucha libre, the injuries, and dealing with veterans who are more interested in protecting their own spots rather than helping young people. He cites Atlantis, Shocker, Negro Casas, Blue Panther, Black Terry, Solar and Negro Navarro among those veterans who are the expectation and try to raise up the young wrestlers.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

Disturbio says he was surprised to be considered to for En Busca de un Idolo. +LuchaTV has quick interviews with Esfinge, Boby Zavala, and Negro Casas about the tournament, and Fuego en el Ring does the same with Guerrero Maya Jr.

El Pancracio interviews Migala, who says she took her name from the first paratrooper aircraft (and was a paratropper before becoming a luchadora.)

Voices of Wrestling reviews this week’s Lucha Underground episode.

Angel de Oro is open to facing Ripper again, but only if it’s the Arena Puebla anniversary event and Ripper puts his mask on the line.

DJ Spectro looks back at El Solitario vs Perro Aguayo.

Fuego en el Ring has a bio of Villano III, reprinted from Quien es Quien

Lucha Libre in Japan

06/02 NJPW: Kyle O’Reilly [8] b Barbaro Cavernario [4]
06/03 NJPW: Barbaro Cavernario [6] b Yohei Komatsu, Mascara Dorada [8] b Nick Jackson

Both are eliminated from advancing, though they’re both going to finish with decent point totals.

NJPW also has put up last Friday’s main event, with no commentary and much longer post match than we’ll likely see on Azteca. (The match is only about half the running time.) The Ingobernables lose, but it’s really Thunder who’s totally humiliated in the end.

developments

not quite last rites for Jack

A busy show for Chavo, who remains only out for his own best interest. He sold Black Lotus out to Dario Cueto at the first chance, in exchange for protection (the remaining members of the Crew) and some other unsaid reward. Chavo and the Crew were eventually able to subdue Lotus in the locker room and take her to Dario, with Dario threatening to put her in a cage across from Matanza. We never found out her ultimate fate on the show. We did find out that Dario Cueto not only knows Dragon Azteca, but knows Dragon Azteca would not ‘dare’ to set foot in the Temple. (He actually did, kidnapping Lotus to kickstart this plot.)

Black Lotus wasn’t alone in having lockeroom fights. Daivari told Big Ryck that he was able to talk Dario into giving a team of his choice a trios title shot tonight. Ryck suggested his cousin the Mack as the third man, but Cage interrupted to nominate himself. Cage & Mack had issues at the end of the 7 way match and fought again here, with Cage getting the better of it and leaving both Mack and a row of lockers laid out. Daivari stopped Ryck from getting involved, but it didn’t look like he really needed to – Ryck seemed willing to let harm come to his family before it came to his money. It was the champions who had drama during the match, with Havoc and Angelico not wanting to tag out and neither wanting to tag the still hobbled Ivelisse. Ivelisse spent a portion of the match sitting in the crowd, angry she wasn’t allowed in or heard. As Daivari ordered Ryck around late (demanding a tag by saying “I pay you, give him to me”), Ivelisse jumped up on the apron to provide a distraction and Texano hit the ring to lasso punch Big Ryck. Angelico & Havoc got their acts together just enough to quickly beat Daivari and keep the titles.

The show was scheduled to lead off with an Argenis versus Jack Evans match, only Dario found a man returning from a broken am and a man who lost in his debut too boring of a matchup for his show. He decided to make it interesting by putting the second of his seven Aztec Medallions on the line. Jack won in a competitive match.

this is how I”m going to imagine all locker room fights going from now on

The main event was a submission match between Pentagon Jr. & Sexy Star. Star seemed to take most of it, despite the announcers pointing out her relative lack of viable submission moves and Vampiro being more uncomfortable with women fighting men (or at least Sexy Star fighting Pentagon Jr.) than in previous match ups. Sexy Star seemed on the cusp of an earned but still surprising victory when Super Fly returned. Super Fly at first signaled he was going to help Sexy against the man who broke his arm, but instead betrayed the woman who took her mask. Super Fly dropped Sexy with a powerbomb, then set her up for Pentagon’s 3 Up 3 Down Driver and a modified tapatia for the win. Pentagon went to break Sexy’s arm, only for Vampiro to rush the ring and break the save. (He’d teased doing it before, when Melissa’s arm was almost broken.) Sexy escaped. Pentagon and Vampiro faced off, with Pentagon seemingly asking Vampiro to take a shot. Vampiro was cheered heavily by the crowd, but refused to fight and walked out. In the lockerroom, Vampiro’s negative thoughts raced thru his head, and caused him to break the mirror with multiple headbutts.

thoughts

Angelico takes care of everything

Last comes first: there’s a pretty obvious schism between many fans of the show, who would like to see Pentagon Jr. destroy everyone and everything, and the people putting the show together, who believe Sexy Star is an emerging empowerment icon for women (with Striker explicitily making the Rousey comparison during the match.) The people making the shows are the ones who get to make those decisions, but this was just strange to see in action. Sexy Star was a decided underdog in the first Pentagon Jr. match, getting a pinfall victory that seemed to surprise everyone involved. The odds were even more stacked against Sexy Star this time around, and yet she seemed to take most of the match. Pentagon got in spots, including some vicious superkicks, and it was no squash. Just, there was a clear winning side and it wasn’t the armbreaking ax murder. It didn’t work for me and it didn’t seem to work for the people I usually follow when watching these things, but maybe there’s a (more female?) audience out there which bought into it. Even then, even if it gets Sexy Star over, it feels like a waste of Pentagon Jr.’s potential. The show very quickly transitioned Pentagon Jr. out of the Sexy Star feud to Vampiro, but the vignette to close made it clear that’ll be a lot about the non-Pentagon Jr. person as well.

double bicep splash

On the flip side, Lucha Underground has gotten more out of Argenis than any promotion before. Maybe after. He looked good against Jack. This wasn’t quite as good as the match with Aerostar, but neither man had to kill each other. Jack as over the top heel is working out well.

Trios title match was a bit disappointing for fans of the champions. The storylines just prevented the match from really getting going until it was just about over, and it ended up as a chapter in the (less interesting) Texano/Daivari feud, with some subtle hints of Big Ryck problems down the line. I kind of liked the Mack/Cage fight more than I liked the match.

Dragon Azteca was more explicitly set up as the polar opposite to Dario. And also a fool for trusting a Guerrero.

bending in half for the win

CMLL Tuesday, Lucha Underground, lots of lineups

CMLL (TUE) 06/02/2015 Arena México [CMLL, Yahoo! Deportes]
1) Bengala & Leono b Apocalipsis & Espanto Jr.
2) Mercurio b Stukita [lightning] Match Relámpago del 2 de Junio de 2015 (posted by VideosOficialesCMLL)
Moved down to the segunda. Mercurio won with a package piledriver.
3) Amapola, Dalys, La Seductora b La Vaquerita, Lluvia, Skadi
Rudas won clean.
4) Cancerbero, Canelo Casas, Raziel b Súper Halcón Jr., The Panther, Tritón
The Panther replaced Hombre Bala (who’s missed back to back shows.)
5) Fuego, La Máscara, Stuka Jr. b Boby Zavala, Puma, Tiger
Mascara beat Tiger with the casita.
6) Ephesto, Negro Casas, Thunder DQ La Sombra, Naito, Rush
straight falls, Rush fouling Thunder.

The women aren’t on the next week’s show, so the Vaquerita stuff seems to have gone nowhere at all.

Today’s Lucha Underground is episode 30, “Submit to the Master”. Matches scheduled include

  • Argenis vs Jack Evans for an Aztec Medallion
  • a trios title defense
  • Pentagon Jr. vs Sexy Star in a submission match

As with a couple weeks ago, there’s been no video previews sent out this week (at least as far as I can find.) Advisory: next week’s show title is a spoiler, and a Lord of the Rings joke.

Tonight’s the first night Lucha Underground will run against Ring of Honor on Destination America, and both continue to air against NXT on the WWE Network. This will probably hurt Lucha Underground a bit. Ring of Honor is signed on Destination America thru December, so this situation appears to be the status quo. However, Destination America seems to shuffle around it’s wrestling programming a lot and more changes between now and the end of the Lucha Underground season seem possible.

This week’s “Lucha Underground is really close to getting season 2!” story was supplied by Court Bauer over on MLW Radio. You can listen, but you may need not to – the entirety of what was said was along the lines of “I’m hearing they’re real close but I can’t say anything.” This is the enough news for every to run on.

As best I can figure, this is what is going on: Lucha Underground needs more money to come back for season 2. A Univision deal would be enough as well as set them up well for the future, but it doesn’t appear to be close. It also doesn’t seem to be ruled out, but I don’t think that’s news at the moment. AAA is also negotiating with Televisa in Mexico. Getting that deal would also provide enough money to guarantee a second season, and it sounds like that’s the one closer to getting done. This attempt at a Mexico deal isn’t really new information – the Observer & Dr. Lucha have been mentioning the possibility for months – but AAA apparently feels like it’s getting closer to complete. No one wants to say anything until it’s done, so it’s all “I can’t say anything” mode right now.

I’d be interested in knowing what the Lucha World Cup did in the rating this past Sunday, since it aired on channel 5 and that’s more likely to be the channel Lucha Underground would air on (not the station AAA is currently on.)  There’s obviously continuity issues with Lucha Underground and AAA are airing at the same time , but those are good problems to have.

Leyendas Inmortales, who’ve been quiet of late, announced they’d be have a run of shows to celebrate the promotion’s first year. They’re running 06/19 in Neza, 06/21 in Valle de Chaclo, 06/30 in Arena Aficion, and 07/05 in DF. Dos Caras will wrestle on this shows, and they’ll have a women’s tournament.

The Toluca luchadors beat up the Indystrongibles so badly on the ChilangaMask show that the ring collapsed. That’s a beating. +LuchaTV also has highlights of the match that set that beating up and an undcard match.

Black Terry Jr. has video of Blue Demon Jr. & Villano IV from the open training session prior to the Lucha World Cup.

Sexy Team won the main event on Sunday’s all women’s show in Arena Neza.

Segunda Caida reviews Lucha Underground episode 29 and both a 2015 Super Porky match and a Santo & Casas vs Juvi & Nicho.

Cuervo notes he’s won many hair matches in his career and lost none. Same thing with Scoria, so La Secta feels they should be considered the favorite at Verano de Escandalo.

Boby Zavala says he’ll give 100% in En Busca de un Idolo. Canelo Casas says he’s a little nervous.

SuperLuchas looks back at Ruben Juarez and Chavo Guerrero in the Olympic Auditorium.

DJ Spectro looks back to the night Fishman lost his mask.

A billion titles were handed out at the Arena Xalapa show. LA Park won one. So did Super Nova. None will ever mean anything.

Karmatrón, León Rojo and Meteoro were honored in Arena Aficion.

As Deliciense was honored in Chihuahua for 35 years of wrestling.

Rico Cisneros was honored in Oaxaca for 46 years of wrestling.

Picnic.co writes about Dona Vicky.

Lineup

IWRG (SUN) 06/07/2015 Arena Naucalpan
1) Aeroman & Alas de Acero vs Araña de Plata & Atomic Star
2) Metaleón, Skayde, Vaquero Jr. vs Black Sttugar, Dowki, Imposible
3) Black Terry, Cerebro Negro, Dr. Cerebro vs Apolo Estrada, El Hijo del Diablo, Hip Hop Man
4) Súper Nova, Veneno, X-Fly vs Canis Lupus, Eterno, Heddi Karaoui
5) Diva Salvaje vs Dios Atenea, Estrella Divina, Demasiado, Chica Ye-Ye, Vanely, Miss Gaviota, Cristal, Bello Kaligula, Sexy Girls [cage, mask]

This is a interesting show from a baseline standpoint: how much does an IWRG cage match draw with nothing else going for it? It’s women and exoticos, who haven’t been focused here much and it’s not even well known women and exoticos. It’s just a cage match to do a cage match. Show isn’t interesting much from actual good matches standpoint (though 2 & 3 have chances.)

CMLL (TUE) 06/09/2015 Arena México
1) Bengala & Molotov vs Artillero & Súper Comando
2) Magnus, Starman, Stigma vs Metálico, Nitro, Sangre Azteca
3) Flyer vs Esfinge [En Busca de un Idolo]
4) Blue Panther Jr. vs Disturbio [En Busca de un Idolo]
5) Blue Panther, The Panther, Valiente vs Kráneo, Puma, Tiger
6) Dragon Lee, Mistico, Titán vs Kamaitachi, Pólvora, Ripper

Flyer/Esfinge is just going to be weird. Top two matches could be quite good.

CMLL (TUE) 06/09/2015 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Explosivo & Meteoro vs El Chakal & El Yaqui
2) La Vaquerita, Lluvia, Skadi vs Kendra, La Seductora, Tiffany
3) Ángel de Oro, Pegasso, Stuka Jr. vs Boby Zavala, Hechicero, Virus
4) Atlantis, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Vangellys
5) Máximo, Naito, Rush vs Bárbaro Cavernario, Felino, Negro Casas

Barbaro Cavernario returns from Japan, faces a Japanese man to ease him back in.

Semimain is a rematch. A title program would mean Maya & Delta continue wrestling their En Busca de un Idolo matches on Fridays for the time being.

Kendra is a new name. Ripper’s snake? Probably not Ripper’s snake. Probably going to Japan in five minutes.

DTU (TUE) 06/16/2015 Arena Aficion
1) Lokillo vs Artikus, ?
2) Jorge El Intruso Jr. & Titan vs Lanzeloth & Rocky Lobo
3) Jimmy, Kevin, Tony vs Chica Ye-Ye, El Exótico, Yuriko
4) Super Mega vs Paranoiko [street]
5) Crazy Boy & Pesadilla vs Masamune & Ryan Kidd and Black Fire & Slayer Pack
6) Rick Swann vs Flamita, Drastik Boy, Septimo Dragon
7) Aero Boy & Violento Jack © vs Cíclope & Miedo Extremo [X-LAW TAG]

Swann’s the additional foreigner working this shows (and maybe explains AULL randomly mentioning him last month.) The Titan in the segunda is a local guy who’s been using that name in a while.

DTU (THU) 06/18/2015 Arena Xalapa, Xalapa, Veracruz
1) El Junior & El Nene vs Kid Lobo & Kronos
2) Jimmy, Kevin, Tony vs Aero Flash, Aero Power, Ángel Azul
3) Ángel del Misterio & Ryan Kidd vs Artikus & Lanzeloth
4) Masamune & Septimo Dragon vs Jinzo & Rocky Lobo and Black Fire & Slayer Pack
5) Rich Swann vs Flamita, Drastik Boy
6) Ángel o Demonio & Ovett vs El Recio & Perro Mocho Jr.
7) Aero Boy & Violento Jack vs Cíclope & Miedo Extremo and Crazy Boy & Pesadilla

Pretty similar to the other card. 3 more to announce.

CMLL LLB (SAT) 06/27/2015 Arena Lopez Mateos
1) ? vs ??
2) Chica Ye-Ye, Demasiado, Diva Salvaje, Estrella Divina vs Kilvan, Rey Lobo Jr., Shadow, Yoruba
3) Jinzo vs Flamita, Drastik Boy, Dinamic Black, Cíclope, Freelance
4) Brazo de Oro, Brazo de Plata, Mr. Niebla vs Carta Brava Jr. (IWL), Cerebro Negro, Fantasma de la Ópera
5) Crazy Boy, Pesadilla, Super Crazy vs Felino, Negro Casas, Puma King
6) Rush vs LA Park

That’s the first Rush vs LA Park singles match. Semimain is Dinastia Crazy versus the Casas family.

06/01 AAA TV Results (Nuevo Laredo)

AAA TV (MON) 06/01/2015 Polyforum La Fe, Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas[AAA]
1) Hijo de Pirata Morgan, La Hiedra, Parka Negra, Taya Valkyrie b El Elegido, Faby Apache, Perseus, Pimpinela Escarlata PERSEUS ELEGIDO PIMPINELA FABY APACHE VS LA HIEDRA (posted by PERSEUS LUCHADOR)
Peresus and La Hiedra, children of Sangre Chicana and local regulars, were added to the match (but aren’t in the official results)
2) Dark Cuervo & Dark Scoria b Angélico & Jack Evans
Laredo Kid & Mocho Cota Jr. seem to not have wrestled, though the AAA official results still list them. La Secta challenged Angelico & Jack to make the Verano de Escandalo cage match a hair match. Gueros del Cielo accepted.
3) El Mesías, Electroshock, Pentagón Jr. b Monsther Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown
Cibernetico appeared after the match to declare it would be his team – not Psycho Circus or Holocausto – to win the trios titles.
4) Averno, Chessman, Cibernético b Blue Demon Jr., La Parka, Myzteziz
5) Brian Cage & Texano Jr. b El Patrón Alberto & Fénix
La Sociedad helped Cage beat Alberto, who left bloody.

Air Date: 06/13 and maybe 06/20?

Adding the hair stipulation to the cage match explains why it’s been featured so heavily on TV (and why Cuervo & Scoria were chosen for this role.) There are some audiences where the crowd would loudly be rooting against the Jack & Angelico team, but I think they’ll be okay in Monterrey.

Otherwise, place keeping show with all the rudos winning.

It looks like there’s something up with the TV schedule. As it is now, Verano de Escandalo would air 7 days later on TV, which is quicker than usually go. It looks like they’re taping Friday July 3rd in Tampico, but that date would mean they have to tape again before that show unless they make up an extra week there. Maybe these two tapings get combined over 3 weeks? Maybe the Lucha World Cup airs again as part of Sin Limite to take up a week?

Angel de Oro keeps his title, Tormenta outsmarts Silueta, DTU tour

CMLL (SUN) 05/31/2015 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [CMLL]
1) El Yaqui & Gran Kenut b El Alteño & Explosivo
2) Linterna Verde Jr. & Star Black b El Chakal & Thunder Boy
Linterna Verde replaced Freezer

Infierno wants a shot at Virgo, pinning him here afer an unseen foul.
4) Chik Tormenta b Silueta [super libre]
Chik Tormenta held onto the bottom rope while beating Silueta.
5) Esfinge, Forastero, Gallo, Magnum DQ El Cuatrero, Espectrum, Ráfaga, Sansón

Main event run-ins are becoming common on this show.

1) Ares & Guerrero Espacial b Arkalis & Zaeta Roja
2) Artillero, Espíritu Maligno, Súper Comando b Asturiano, Black Tiger, Flyer

Pegasso replaced Hombre Bala Jr.
4) Ephesto, Hechicero, Luciferno b Dragon Lee, Stigma, Tritón
5) Ángel de Oro © b Ripper [CMLL LH]
Angel de Oro 3rd defense.
6) Mistico, Valiente, Volador Jr. DQ Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora, Rey Escorpión
Rey Escorpion fouled Volador for the DQ.

Revolucionarios losing being the first step in getting a title match sounds like CMLL Logic.

Haven’t seen full results from Nuevo Laredo yet, but will get those up later.

Today’s CMLL show is the last Tuesday before 7 weeks of En Busca de un Idolo, with not much going. CMLL pushes tonight’s show as Thunder looking for new allies; there’s no imagining what a Thunder led group might look like. Lightning match is Stukita versus Mercurio. This is Stukita’s first lightning match since joining CMLL. He had a normal singles match against Pequeno Nitro on a Saturday show.

CMLL also has an article about the one week long Shockercito versus Demus 3:16 feud. (Mercurio seems out in the cold on this one.) Demus explains he’s angry Shockercito has gotten tattoos, because that’s his gimmick. Demus acknowledges this may be a flimsy excuse just to restart their feud; Shockercito took his hair back in 2009. Guadalajara has Sky Team versus Guerreros.

DTU announced dates for a June tour: 16th in Pachuca (Arena Aficion), 18th in Xalapa, 19th in Veracruz, 20th in Tulancingo, 21st in Mexico City. They also announced Ryan Kidd would be appearing. Kidd is a southern California wrestler who’s worked with Mexican luchadors on shows in San Diego and the surrounding area.

Negro Casas & Dalys helped out with a clothing drive.

The Mascara 2000 Jr. mystery storyline on AAA TV has been strange (because they’re actually doing a storyline around Mascara 2000 Jr?). Also, all AAA mystery storylines end with Pimpinela being involved and I’m not sure this one is different.

Black Terry Jr. has highlights of the entire Cara Lucha Anniversary show.

+LuchaTV has highlights of Rush vs Hechicero and Volador & Titan vs Bestia 666 & Flamita. The emphasis in the later has been on Volador & Flamita. I wonder if that’s the idea with why Bestia was there is to plant the seed for a future hardcore match with Titan, since he’s mentioned he would be open to doing that once a year.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update, this week’s Poster-Mania and results from the MamaLucha show.

Rob has highlights of 02/08/15 AAA, featuring Mistico vs Perro Aguayo Jr.

DJ Spectro writes about El Solitario vs Dr. Wagner, Solitario’s last match in El Toreo.

SuperLuchas has a long piece about the history of lucha libre in the Olympic Auditorium, as well as the usual look back at shows from June 1st.

Fuego en el Ring has a video interview with En Busca de un Idolo participant Esfinge, and this news show has a video interview with Cancerbero & Raziel.

CMLL has highlights of the 05/29 show.

If you see a guy in a Myzteziz mask ‘fighting crime’ around Montreal, it’s probably not Myzteziz.

Lineups

CMLL (SAT) 06/06/2015 Arena Coliseo
1) Robin vs El Rebelde
2) Último Dragoncito vs Pequeño Violencia
3) Soberano Jr. vs Cancerbero
4) Oro Jr. vs Raziel
5) Estrellita & Marcela vs Dalys & Tiffany
6) Atlantis, Máximo, Mistico vs Felino, Luciferno, Vangellys
7) Dragon Lee vs Kamaitachi

Sabado Retros back this week, with the the fifth Dragon Lee vs Kamaitachi match. (Dragon leads 3-1). They’re probably going to go all out because it’s all that they do, but it seems a kind of waste to do it on a non-TV show. (Then again, I wouldn’t have said that about the matches on the CaraLucha show and this may have a similar audience size.)

CMLL (MON) 06/08/2015 Arena Puebla
1) Astro, Fantasy, Shockercito vs Demus 3:16, Mini Joker, Saurón
2) Asturiano, Magnus, Rey Samuray vs Disturbio, Fuerza Chicana, Policeman
3) Fuego, Titán, Tritón vs Cancerbero, King Jaguar, Raziel
4) Atlantis, Marco Corleone, Máximo vs Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Último Guerrero
5) Mistico, Valiente, Volador Jr. vs Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora, Rey Escorpión

Main event rematch. The Arena Puebla anniversary show should happen any week now, and it looks like Sky Team will be defending the trios titles on that show. That show also usually has a local guy losing an apuesta match (though there has been a few upsets in recent years.) King Jaguar is noticably booked higher than usual and Fuerza Chicana has suddenly become a regular, though neither has a very set feud.

Mini Joker is not related to the Guadalajara Joker, except for them both using the DC Comic character as inspiration. This Mini Joker is a Puebla local luchador/promoter. You can tell he’s an non-CMLL guy because he uses the “mini” prefix instead of the CMLL house style “Pequeno”.
