Air Date: 07/11 & 07/18

Outside of Goya jumping, this was a pretty quiet taping. No TripleMania announcement, no real hint at any new Triplemania matches. A lot of existing feuds are brought up, but this seems more like a placekeeping show than one of the last few before the biggest show of the year. (Maybe it’s not.)

Texano’s injury was left pretty vague. It would seem like it had to occur in the last couple weeks, since they wouldn’t have moved him into the main event during the shuffle if they knew he was hurt, but it’s not clear when. Texano hasn’t been recorded as wrestling since June 1st and was strangely left off the Verano de Escandalo card (though he did do a run-in), so it could also be something he’s been working thru for a while. Not sure when he’ll be back, though it seems doubtful he’ll have any big role on TripleMania. The rudo side is really weak.

I wonder if Goya is Mascara 2000 Jr.’s mystery admirer?

This was the first of three straight weekends of taping. They’re taping again on Friday in Tampico.

  1. Watching The Nuevo Laredo Taping From Last Week, There Was A Moment Where Texano Was Laying On The Outside, & Pentagon Jr Was Checking His Shoulder, Konnan Was Checking On Him Too, He’s Was Down For Awhile, To The Point They Brought The Stretcher Out, But He Continued The Match

  2. Texano has been booked like a doofus since winning Rey de Reyes. You would think they would build him up as the next big rudo after losing Perro.

  3. An Alvarado (Psycho clown) finally unmasking a Villano would be huge. Do you guys think attendance for a match like that would be greater than Demon Jr./Villano IV?
