It looked like a sell out or close to it for a much bigger name show than the usual IWRG show (much less than usual IWRG Wednesday show.) They set up things for a return date but didn’t announce one.

CMLL hasn’t published results from Guadalajara on Tuesday, but has mentioned Rey Bucanero kept the NWA Light Heavyweight Championship over Diamante Azul. The story told here and in on Informa is Azul has been wrestling regularly while in Europe. It’s possible, but there’s not a single report of him doing os.

This week’s WON mentions TNA made a big pitch to Rey Mysterio Jr. about joining them, telling Rey they’d build the company around him, open doors from him to do other media projects and let him do whatever he wants on the days they don’t use him (so he wouldn’t necessarily be exclusive.) The note mentions it’s still more likely he goes to Lucha Underground, but that remains unsigned. I wonder what they told Rey about their TV situation

NJPW put up Friday’s main event, Ingobernables (Rush, Sombra, Naito) vs Volador, Valiente and Diamante Azul.

All Elite held a press conference for next Sunday, mostly focusing on Atlantis & Octagon teaming in Arena Mexico for the first time in 23 years. The promoter, Erensto Santillan, said this show would be considered a ‘friendly’ and no points would accumulate in it’s Liga Elite standings. They’re going to make changes to the format since some people (Super Nova mentioned) are no longer available. LA Park & Dr. Wagner are also mentioned as unsure for going forward, which may be why All Elite has a lot of mystery people. Santillan said they’d have an update in a few days, and the CMLL recap of the press conference says the mystery people will be announced on Saturday. It’s very strange to see CMLL previewing an event with Fuerza Guerrera and Octagon.

The commercial for Arena Coliseo Guadalajara airing locally this Saturday shows highlights of the All Elite show there from April. I don’t think that video’s turned up prior.

An article on the 07/10 All Elite show in Queretaro mentions Mistico will be one of Volador’s partners. Both of his partners (and both of his opponent Silver King’s partners) were previously listed as surprises. Tickets went on sale yesterday.

Ring of Honor’s Ray Rowe will be part of the 07/19 ChilangaMask Coliseo Coacalco.

SuperLuchas talked to Amenaza Elegante, who revealed Octagon actually gave him the OK to use the name a long time ago (and apparently forgot about it). He’s just not allowed to use it on AAA shows.

Accion MX has a bio of Chihuahua’s Wild Cat, who talks about his career, saying he wrestled in AAA as As de Chihuahua.

  1. Hijo de Rey III??? When did they switch to a third guy under the mask? I want to be a Hijo de Rey Misterio too… I wonder how much that would cost??

  2. The arena naucalpan was actually oversold.just the flamita match was good all the other matches were just ok.First time seeing people booing wagner and mistico..Oficial 911 hurt his hip…looked like it.
