Moved down to the segunda. Mercurio won with a package piledriver.
3) Amapola, Dalys, La Seductora b La Vaquerita, Lluvia, Skadi
Rudas won clean.
4) Cancerbero, Canelo Casas, Raziel b Súper Halcón Jr., The Panther, Tritón
The Panther replaced Hombre Bala (who’s missed back to back shows.)
5) Fuego, La Máscara, Stuka Jr. b Boby Zavala, Puma, Tiger
Mascara beat Tiger with the casita.
6) Ephesto, Negro Casas, Thunder DQ La Sombra, Naito, Rush
straight falls, Rush fouling Thunder.
The women aren’t on the next week’s show, so the Vaquerita stuff seems to have gone nowhere at all.
Today’s Lucha Underground is episode 30, “Submit to the Master”. Matches scheduled include
- Argenis vs Jack Evans for an Aztec Medallion
- a trios title defense
- Pentagon Jr. vs Sexy Star in a submission match
As with a couple weeks ago, there’s been no video previews sent out this week (at least as far as I can find.) Advisory: next week’s show title is a spoiler, and a Lord of the Rings joke.
Tonight’s the first night Lucha Underground will run against Ring of Honor on Destination America, and both continue to air against NXT on the WWE Network. This will probably hurt Lucha Underground a bit. Ring of Honor is signed on Destination America thru December, so this situation appears to be the status quo. However, Destination America seems to shuffle around it’s wrestling programming a lot and more changes between now and the end of the Lucha Underground season seem possible.
This week’s “Lucha Underground is really close to getting season 2!” story was supplied by Court Bauer over on MLW Radio. You can listen, but you may need not to – the entirety of what was said was along the lines of “I’m hearing they’re real close but I can’t say anything.” This is the enough news for every to run on.
As best I can figure, this is what is going on: Lucha Underground needs more money to come back for season 2. A Univision deal would be enough as well as set them up well for the future, but it doesn’t appear to be close. It also doesn’t seem to be ruled out, but I don’t think that’s news at the moment. AAA is also negotiating with Televisa in Mexico. Getting that deal would also provide enough money to guarantee a second season, and it sounds like that’s the one closer to getting done. This attempt at a Mexico deal isn’t really new information – the Observer & Dr. Lucha have been mentioning the possibility for months – but AAA apparently feels like it’s getting closer to complete. No one wants to say anything until it’s done, so it’s all “I can’t say anything” mode right now.
I’d be interested in knowing what the Lucha World Cup did in the rating this past Sunday, since it aired on channel 5 and that’s more likely to be the channel Lucha Underground would air on (not the station AAA is currently on.) There’s obviously continuity issues with Lucha Underground and AAA are airing at the same time , but those are good problems to have.
Leyendas Inmortales, who’ve been quiet of late, announced they’d be have a run of shows to celebrate the promotion’s first year. They’re running 06/19 in Neza, 06/21 in Valle de Chaclo, 06/30 in Arena Aficion, and 07/05 in DF. Dos Caras will wrestle on this shows, and they’ll have a women’s tournament.
The Toluca luchadors beat up the Indystrongibles so badly on the ChilangaMask show that the ring collapsed. That’s a beating. +LuchaTV also has highlights of the match that set that beating up and an undcard match.
Black Terry Jr. has video of Blue Demon Jr. & Villano IV from the open training session prior to the Lucha World Cup.
Sexy Team won the main event on Sunday’s all women’s show in Arena Neza.
Segunda Caida reviews Lucha Underground episode 29 and both a 2015 Super Porky match and a Santo & Casas vs Juvi & Nicho.
Cuervo notes he’s won many hair matches in his career and lost none. Same thing with Scoria, so La Secta feels they should be considered the favorite at Verano de Escandalo.
Boby Zavala says he’ll give 100% in En Busca de un Idolo. Canelo Casas says he’s a little nervous.
SuperLuchas looks back at Ruben Juarez and Chavo Guerrero in the Olympic Auditorium.
DJ Spectro looks back to the night Fishman lost his mask.
A billion titles were handed out at the Arena Xalapa show. LA Park won one. So did Super Nova. None will ever mean anything.
Karmatrón, León Rojo and Meteoro were honored in Arena Aficion.
As Deliciense was honored in Chihuahua for 35 years of wrestling.
Rico Cisneros was honored in Oaxaca for 46 years of wrestling.

Lineup
IWRG (SUN) 06/07/2015 Arena Naucalpan
1) Aeroman & Alas de Acero vs Araña de Plata & Atomic Star
2) Metaleón, Skayde, Vaquero Jr. vs Black Sttugar, Dowki, Imposible
3) Black Terry, Cerebro Negro, Dr. Cerebro vs Apolo Estrada, El Hijo del Diablo, Hip Hop Man
4) Súper Nova, Veneno, X-Fly vs Canis Lupus, Eterno, Heddi Karaoui
5) Diva Salvaje vs Dios Atenea, Estrella Divina, Demasiado, Chica Ye-Ye, Vanely, Miss Gaviota, Cristal, Bello Kaligula, Sexy Girls [cage, mask]
This is a interesting show from a baseline standpoint: how much does an IWRG cage match draw with nothing else going for it? It’s women and exoticos, who haven’t been focused here much and it’s not even well known women and exoticos. It’s just a cage match to do a cage match. Show isn’t interesting much from actual good matches standpoint (though 2 & 3 have chances.)
CMLL (TUE) 06/09/2015 Arena México
1) Bengala & Molotov vs Artillero & Súper Comando
2) Magnus, Starman, Stigma vs Metálico, Nitro, Sangre Azteca
3) Flyer vs Esfinge [En Busca de un Idolo]
4) Blue Panther Jr. vs Disturbio [En Busca de un Idolo]
5) Blue Panther, The Panther, Valiente vs Kráneo, Puma, Tiger
6) Dragon Lee, Mistico, Titán vs Kamaitachi, Pólvora, Ripper
Flyer/Esfinge is just going to be weird. Top two matches could be quite good.
CMLL (TUE) 06/09/2015 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Explosivo & Meteoro vs El Chakal & El Yaqui
2) La Vaquerita, Lluvia, Skadi vs Kendra, La Seductora, Tiffany
3) Ángel de Oro, Pegasso, Stuka Jr. vs Boby Zavala, Hechicero, Virus
4) Atlantis, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr. vs Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Vangellys
5) Máximo, Naito, Rush vs Bárbaro Cavernario, Felino, Negro Casas
Barbaro Cavernario returns from Japan, faces a Japanese man to ease him back in.
Semimain is a rematch. A title program would mean Maya & Delta continue wrestling their En Busca de un Idolo matches on Fridays for the time being.
Kendra is a new name. Ripper’s snake? Probably not Ripper’s snake. Probably going to Japan in five minutes.
DTU (TUE) 06/16/2015 Arena Aficion
1) Lokillo vs Artikus, ?
2) Jorge El Intruso Jr. & Titan vs Lanzeloth & Rocky Lobo

6) Rick Swann vs Flamita, Drastik Boy, Septimo Dragon
7) Aero Boy & Violento Jack © vs Cíclope & Miedo Extremo [X-LAW TAG]
Swann’s the additional foreigner working this shows (and maybe explains AULL randomly mentioning him last month.) The Titan in the segunda is a local guy who’s been using that name in a while.

Pretty similar to the other card. 3 more to announce.
