CMLL weekend results, ninja turtle thrown in pool, ChilangaMask to Guadalajara

CMLL (FRI) 04/10/2015 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [CMLL]
1) El Alteño & Meteoro b El Piraña & Relampago
Relampago replaced Satara, Meteoro replaced Alteno. Chakal, Furia Roja and Gran Kenut attacked the tecnicos after the match.
2) El Divino, Frezzer, Meteoro b El Chakal, Furia Roja, Gran Kenut
Furia Roja replaced Evola, and Meteoro hung around to replace Indigo. Divino beat Chacal to get the win.
3) Virgo b Demonio Maya [lightning]
Vigro won to set up a title match.
4) Flash I & Flash II DCOR Exterminador & Maléfico
neither team could return after dives
5) Jocker, Ráfaga, Sádico b Esfinge, Magnum, Omar Brunetti
Jocker & Sadico had problems, Sadico still angry about Jocker taking his hair in the cage match. Tecnicos won with Magnum beating Jocker.

Guys running in the opener to lead into the segunda is very unusual in CMLL, but maybe they just wanted to cover a guy working twice.

CMLL (SAT) 04/11/2015 Arena Coliseo [CMLL]
1) Pequeño Olímpico b Angelito
2) La Vaquerita b La Seductora
dropped to the second match
3) Nitro b Sensei
moved up to the third.
4) Stigma b Arkángel de la Muerte
Stigma with a huracanrana
5) Tritón b Sangre Azteca
Triton surprised Sangre with a small package
6) Blue Panther Jr. & Dragon Lee b Kamaitachi & Okumura
Okumura replaced Virus. Kamaitachi snuck in a foul on Dragon Lee.
7) Guerrero Maya Jr., Máximo, Rush b Ephesto, Rey Bucanero, Shocker
Shocker cheated to beat Rush.

CMLL’s Twitter wrote about the first four matches from tonight’s Arena Mexico show, then just stopped, then still hasn’t posted a report five hours later. I sometimes feel the same level of boredom with CMLL shows, I can empathize.

CMLL, in CMLL fashion, announced the Arena Mexico Anniversary show would take place on 04/26 show and pushed it as a big show. It’s positioned as a Kid’s Day show (though it’d make sense if that Friday’s 05/01 show is also a Kid’s Day one.)  They’ve got a tie in with a university and should fill the place. This means CMLL may actually book storylines at some point to build to that show.

Rafy thrown into pool/photo by Black Terry Jr.

indy (SAT) 04/11/2015 Ex Balneario Olímpico, Ciudad de México, Distrito Federal [Black Terry Jr. (flickr), Estrellas del Ring]
1) Ángel Jr. & Lokillo b Ave Negra & Ironía
2) Extremo & Payaso De Plata b Power Bull & Psyque
3) Fly Star, Metaleón, Mr. Leo, Toxin Boy b Águila Misteriosa, Centvrión, Fulgor I, Fulgor II
Mr. Leo & Metaleon are #HIGHLION. Metaleon overshot everyone on a springboard tornillo, and landed head first on cement. It looked brutal, but he apparently is OK. Medical assistance was there quick and he was put in a neck brace. Match was stopped while he was treated, then resumed with out Aguila Misteriosa to keep the sides even. Winners dedicated their win to Metaleon.
4) Fly Metalik, Terremoto, Wotam b Demasiado, Diva Salvaje, Estrella Divina
Wotan hurt his knee on a plancha to the outside
5) Leo, Mike, Rafy, Teelo b Kilvan, Rey Lobo Jr., Shadow, Yoruba
Turtles took 2/3, despite Rafy being thrown into the pool

A governmental sponsored show. Black Terry Jr. has a video clip of the tornillo; it’s ugly. That’s Metaleon doing the voiceover, thanking the medics. Also, Ninja Turtle into a pool.

There are photos, video and reports (here too) on the Hijo del Perro Aguayo mass on Saturday.

Rey Misterio Jr. is listed as wrestling in Ensenada on 05/09.

An AAA audio preview of the 05/02 lineup. They still don’t know who this Kronuz is!

Last week’s +LuchaTV never aired on TV, but was placed on their YouTube channel on Saturday. Today, instead of a new episode, there was a repeat episode of Leyendas Inmortales from the previous production crew, with updated upcoming event info – so something’s been changed here. I hope we still get more +LuchaTV but that doesn’t seem good.

RobViper has a music video of 12/07/14 AAA.

Fuego en el Ring had Psycho Clown as a guest.

SuperLibre had Super Estrella and Salvador Flores in studio.

SuperLuchas looks back at a Gran Alterantiva of 1978 and a tag title change 30 years ago.

Segunda Caida watches the Grave Consequences Lucah Underground episode.

Looks like Monterrey is getting their own Ninja Turtles and Rene Guajarado III still exists.

Lineups

IWRG (THU) 04/16/2015 Arena Naucalpan
1) Araña de Plata vs Atomic Star, Hip Hop Man, Alas de Acero, Aeroman
2) Dragón Celestial, Metaleón, Yakuza vs Dowki, Electro Boy, Imposible
3) Apolo Estrada, Avisman, El Hijo del Diablo © vs Canis Lupus, Eterno, X-Fly [EdM Trios]
Gringos’ seventh defense
4) Faby Apache, Lady Maravilla, Veneno vs Oficial AK47, Sexy Lady, Taya Valkyrie
5) Hijo De Dos Caras, Myzteziz, Ricky Cruz vs Cibernético, Electroshock, Hijo de Máscara Año 2000

The Myzteziz/AAA appearance. They set up a Cruz/Caras match with the Rey del Ring, and this seems like the crowd to turn one of them.

CMLL (FRI) 04/17/2015 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Linterna Verde Jr., Nube Roja, Toro Negro vs Mr. Trueno, Ráfaga, Rey Trueno
2) Flash I, Flash II, Pepe Aguayo vs Gran Eku, Pitbull I, Pitbull II
3) Forastero, Hijo del Calavera, Magnum vs Évola, Exterminador, Furia Roja
4) Frezzer, Metatrón, Reycko vs El Cuatrero, Jocker, Sansón [OCCIDENTE TRIOS, tournament]
5) Demonio Maya © vs Virgo [OCCIDENTE MIDDLE]
Maya’s first defense. The last four occidente middleweight title matches here have ended in title matches.

This is the last Friday show; both radio shows mentioned they’re moving back to Sundays after the All Elite show.

There was an Occidente Trios Championship at some point, but it’s before any history I have. It’s been a while.

Chilanga Mask (SAT) 05/16/2015 Arena Roberto Paz, Guadalajara, Jalisco
1) Aero Xtreme vs Rey Celestial, Reggae Boy, Mercurio
2) Dralion vs Belial
3) Fly Star, Fly Warrior, Toxin Boy vs Astro Rey Jr., Draego, Psico Kid
4) Fulgor I & Fulgor II vs Dorado Jr. & Sangre Fría Jr.
5) Aéreo (Ciudad Juarez), Latín Dragon, Rey Horus vs Aero Boy, Arez, Kaientai
6) Impulso vs Saturno
7) Black Terry vs Caifan vs Satánico

Good card: interesting veteran main event, semimain with a talented local guy getting a big chance, a trios match with six very different guys brought together in one match. All the matches have a chance to be good here.
