IWRG (SUN) 03/08/2015 Arena Naucalpan [Black Terry Jr. (flickr),Estrellas del Ring, IWRG]
1) Adrenalina & Alas de Acero b Magnum 44 & Power Bull
Main show debuts for Adrenalina & Magnum 44.
2) Demasiado, Diva Salvaje, Miss Gaviota vs Black Fury, Dark Lady,Kamilión
Demasiado debuted, replacing Estrella Divina. Dark Lady hurt a shoulder early on; Atomic Star replaced her. Exoticos won in straight falls.
3) Black Terry, Cerebro Negro, Metaleón DQ Liderk, Rayan, Spector
Liderk hit the referee, got the visual win, ended up DQed.
4) Eterno, Hijo de Máscara Año 2000, Universo 2000 Jr. b Emperador Azteca, Golden Magic, Hijo del Alebrije
Hijo de Alebrije replaced Danny Casas.
5) Dr. Wagner Jr., Súper Nova, Veneno b Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr., Negro Navarro, X-Fly
Dr. Wagner’s first appearance here since August, the son’s first in a year. Nova’s team took 2/3. They teased Wagner vs Wagner the entire match, were set to fight near the end, and Negro Navarro got in the win. Navarro fouled Wagner Jr., only for Wagner III to foul him and put his father on top for the win.
If you understand who’s supposed to be a rudo or tecnico in the IWRG main events, you’re one step ahead of me. I guess Navarro turned rudo again somewhere off screen (or they just needed a cheap way out of the match.)
Danny Casas missed Arena Aficion this week too so I guess he’s hurt?
The crew behind Tercera Caida returned to television yesterday. Their new show, “Mas Lucha TV” (written as +LuchaTV) debuted Sunday on Teleformula at 6pm local time (8pm Eastern in the US.) The debut episode was their annual top 100 moments of the year countdown. Like always, the show was also posted on their YouTube channel – it’s actually an extended cut with extra bad/scary moments and 10 comedy moments.
That time slot is the old Leyendas Inmortales one. That show appears to have moved to Mexican channel Efekto at noon on Sundays. +LuchaTV is also posting that show. It doesn’t appear like I can get that channel, so that’ll be only place you can find it.
The Lucha Underground store is back up at https://squareup.com/market/luchaunderground. It’s the same t-shirts and other merch I’ve seen sold at the Temple, a bit easier to get than getting to Los Angeles. Hoping there’s a fuller range of a characters represented down the line but it’s definite progress.
Tonight’s Arena Puebla show has the Sky Team versus the Guerreros in the main event. That seems likely to start a title match program, but we’ll know more after tonight.
SuperLuchas looks back at As Charro & Demonio Chino breaking up on March 9th.
Segunda Caida writes about more Hechicero and CMLL worth watching, which somehow includes the Oro Jr. mask/broken jaw match and a Felino match.
LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update on Monday and Poster-Mania for the week.
Lineups
IWRG (WED) 03/11/2015 Arena Naucalpan
1) Adrenalina & Omega vs Araña de Plata & Guerrero 2000
2) Alas de Acero vs Atomik Star, Aramis, Voltar, Alfa
3) Leo, Mike, Rafy, Teelo vs Apolo Estrada Jr., Dowki, Electro Boy, Hip Hop Man [lumberjack strap]
4) Cerebro Negro, Golden Magic, Relámpago vs Argenis, Machine Rocker, Súper Fly
5) Ludxor, Niño Hamburguesa, Venum vs Eterno, Súper Nova, X-Fly
The main event (and semimain) is billed as AAA vs IWRG. The IWRG team used to be a Familia de Tijuana, until Eterno & X-Fly turned on Super Nova. They should get along well.
There was a Guerrero 2000 back here in 2012. This is probably a new one.
CMLL (FRI) 03/13/2015 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) El Brillante & El Tapatío vs Demonio Rojo & Relampago
2) El Alteño & Frezzer vs Gran Kenut & Satara
3) El Divino, Javier Cruz Jr., Reycko vs El Chakal, Furia Roja, Thunder Boy
4) Hijo Del Calavera, Leo, Metatrón vs Évola, Exterminador, Sádico
5) Omar Brunetti, Pepe Aguayo, Virgo vs Demonio Maya, Jocker, Maléfico
Leo’s been listed for a few shows here without appearing. A Hijo del Calavera popped up once in Arena Palenque once last year, nothing else known about him. I’m sure people will be excited to see him.
CMLL (SAT) 03/14/2015 Arena Coliseo
1) Angelito vs Pequeño Nitro
2) Robin vs Akuma
3) Hombre Bala Jr. vs Disturbio

5) Tritón vs Tiger
6) Dark Angel & Estrellita vs Amapola & La Seductora
7) Dragón Rojo Jr., Mistico, Stuka Jr. vs Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero
Women make it allllll the way up to the semimain. I wonder if they’re going to repeat the Rojo/Roja title match here. Third match will be on DisurbioVision, I’d bet.
CMLL (SUN) 03/15/2015 Arena México
1) Magnus & Molotov vs Akuma & Espiritu Negro
2) Astral, Eléctrico, Shockercito vs Demus 3:16, Pequeño Olímpico, Pequeño Violencia
3) Dragon Lee, Pegasso, Tritón vs Cancerbero, Raziel, Virus
4) Ángel de Oro vs Hechicero [lightning]
5) Marco Corleone, Super Porky, Titán vs Kráneo, Pierroth, Rey Escorpión
6) La Máscara, Mistico, Volador Jr. vs Bárbaro Cavernario, Negro Casas, Shocker
Take 2 for Pequeno Violencia’s return. And for Angel de Oro/Hechicero; guess that means there’s at least a chance that’ll be a title match next week. (I’m now making people panic about travel plans.) 2nd/3rd should be good.
