Dama Divina, Sexy Angelical, Yuca La Potranquita vs Casandra, Miss Janeth, Tania: [below average] not completely nonredeemable, but a lot of bad looking moments and obvious miscommunication. The match was built around Yuca, which seemed like the best decision based on what her partners looked like in the few times they were in. Angelica has some athletic ability, Dama Divina did not look good at all. The rudas showed off their experience with series of moves, but also showed off their age by looking slow and not moving well. Tania seemed to be a totally different page than her partners a lot of the time. Casandra seemed the best of the rudas but was clearly the third most important one. Finish was ludicrous, with powder being thrown in Yuca’s face right in front of the referee, who didn’t reaction in any fashion. Plus, it’s not a match that really needed a screwy finish with two unimportant people right there to get pinned anyway (and the blinding took place a minute before the finish because the rudas had to get their spots in on those unimportant woman.) No good.
Heavy Metal vs Octagón, Fuerza Guerrera, Máscara Año 2000: [ok] Only escaping below average because it was definitely better than the last match. It still wasn’t good, though the brawling had it’s moments. Otherwise, an everyone turning on everyone else for no reason match. There are flashes of moments where Heavy Metal looks so much better than everyone else than you wonder why he’s here. It doesn’t last. Metal doesn’t look like as spaced out/concussed as he looked in his last AAA run, which is nice. Getting rid of Octagon first in his debut match was odd but improved the match.
