Black Terry vs Super Pinocho rematch. Electro Boy beat Manchas and Super Pinocho to win it for the home team. The celebration cut short by the appearance of Gimnasio Zeus, led by Oficial 911 – he challenged for a match for his team. Super Pinocho also demanded another match and suggested a cage match with everyone.

There’s no word when the IWRG FILL 40 is, but they’ve made a habit of bigger than usual shows for the round numbers. Maybe not at 24 person cage match, but a show of school vs school matches would fit. Show was taped for AYM, which means it may or may not air.

Black Terry Jr. has highlights of last night’s FILL show.

I did not get to see CMLL Informa live, but most people trying to watch the Terra stream did not get to see CMLL Informa due to reoccurring stream quality issues. It’s up on YouTube, and the end of the third part clarifies the CMLL Sunday on Terra situation: it’s done, for the time being. CMLL said they’d be happy to work with Terra again, implying this was a Terra decision. CMLL pointed fans to their website to check out their other TV shows. The graphic they have on the website for TV information has lots of outdated info (and/or CMLL still believes they’re on TVC Deportes.)

As noted when Friday shows were dropped, Terra went from an outlet broadcasting a lot of live sports video content to one which mostly airs new/music studio shows (akin to Informa) and does no other live sports. It’s possible this had something to do with the relationship between CMLL/Terra (like Terra wanting to change the fees for the show), but it’s just as possible CMLL was dropped as part of a greater Terra refocusing. CMLL Sunday shows have been skippable of late and the big matches will likely still air on ClaroSports, but it also the rare show where the entire lucha libre community could watch and talk about at the same time. There’s plenty of alternative to the Sundays matches but not to the experience.

No idea what this would mean for En Busca de un Idolo, if there is one of those this year.

Rey Bucanero talks about his career, mentions the first time his uncles put him in the ring, they ended up breaking his hand while trying to see if he was tough enough to take it. He also says the Guerreros del Atlantida broke up because they were too dominant. He plans on going after Ultimo Guerrero’s hair after he takes Volador’s.

Daga has been doing MMA training for the last year and half, and as part of his recent rehab for injury. He says he’s not interested in fighting in MMA, but likes grappling competitions and participates when he can.

Drago says he has no idea who he’s teaming with in Queretaro. Some times, mystery people are built up to be big deals. AAA’s done that in the past and then it hasn’t turned out so well (there’s my “Animal” reference for the year), so now they tend to have people seem not at all interested in the mysteries in these constructed interviews.

Terrible says TRT are the best trio in CMLL. His case is they are TRT so they are the best trio in CMLL. It’s hard to piece that logic.

Hijo de Ninja wants WWE to know that he has a work visa. OK.

Ripper says Mistico and Volador are his most hated rivals. Ripper should just challenge those guys repeatedly, he’s likely to get a big show main event out of it this year.

LuchaWorld has the latest edition of their podcast.

Black Terry Jr. has highlights of Pagano vs Impulso and Sagrado vs Violento Jack from ChilangaMask.

SuperLuchas looks back to Tinieblas main eventing Arena Mexico in 1972.

+LuchaTV interviews Aereo.

An interview with Xalapa legend El Forastero, who’ll be honored this weekend.

SuperLuchas writes about Makabre. A lot of the Jalisco local media seem to be big fans of him.

Ohtani’s Jacket reviews Huracan Ramirez II vs Octagon vs Fuerza Guerrera.

SegundaCaida adds onto their 2014 Match of the Year list.

AYM Sports interviews Hijo de Dos Caras and Mascara Sagrada.

Lineups

LI (SAT) 02/21/2015 Deportivo Benito Juárez, Ciudad de México, Distrito Federal
1) Jhon Crazy & Mascara Virtual vs Gato Montes & Rey Infierno
2) Miss Janeth © vs Yuca La Potranquita [UWA WOMEN]
3) Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr., Hijo del Solar, Pantera vs Magnifico, Mr. México, Universo 2000
4) Heavy Metal vs Máscara Año 2000
5) Canek, Canek Jr., Mr. Jack vs Fuerza Guerrera, Octagón, Shu el Guerrero

This is a big Leyendas Inmortales show, relatively speaking – they’ve been building to the Janeth/Yuca and Metal/Mascara matches for some time, and the main event is a mix of all the other rivalries (and also Canek Jr.)

Yuca was interviewed to build up her match. Janeth will have gone 3883 days between known defenses.

IWRG (SUN) 02/22/2015 Arena Naucalpan
1) Alfa, Galaxy, Omega vs Atomic Star, Dowki, Hip Hop Man
2) Black Fury, Dragón Celestial, Miss Gaviota vs Electro Boy, Kamilión, La Sádica
3) Emperador Azteca, Golden Magic, Relámpago vs Apolo Estrada Jr., Cerebro Negro, Imposible
4) Metaleón, Negro Navarro, Veneno vs Canis Lupus, Eterno, Hijo de Pirata Morgan
5) Chicano, Danny Casas, Máscara Sagrada vs Hijo de Máscara Año 2000, Pirata Morgan, Universo 2000 Jr.

Sagrada & Pirata had issues again during the El Protector tournament, so they join the feuding tag teams. The winning team for El Protector are together in the semimain.

Much like WWE, the IWRG woman switch sides frequently with no particular explaination.
