Sabado Retro seems pretty set on the “every 3 shows a big match” pattern, excepting the Arena Coliseo Tag defense that never happened when Misterioso was out of town.
Rey de Reyes will take place in Guadalajara on March 15th. The rumor of it being in the bullring was correct, just not the Monterrey one. AAA’s announced the Rey de Reyes final and Fenix/Fantasma to take place on this show, and tonight’s taping in Ecatepec is likely to make sure few more things official.
Today’s the All Elite show. My expectation is it won’t air on Terra, but it might still be worth checking if you’re around. Not even sure if CMLL will end up posting results, since it’s not actually a CMLL show. They’ve treated it like one so far. Previews build it up as Dr. Wagner vs LA Park, the exact match got them thrown out of CMLL and that they’ve been doing sense. I hadn’t really thought about until now, but I’d guess they at least attempt to do the exact same style of match to prove their point. Neither man compromises much, this will probably be no different.
Negro Casas and Fuerza Guerrera is the match I’d like to see the most. Like the main event, it’s another one that’s been blocked from happening because of CMLL; Casas appeared in IWRG fairly often until CMLL broke ties with them, and it’s likely he would’ve faced Fuerza again in Naucalpan if he was still working there. In an interview about this show, Casas said that he and Fuerza still love lucha libre and that’s what has kept them going so many years.
LuchaWorld has a recap of this week’s Lucha Underground and KrisZ’s news update
An artice about Lucha Va Voom’s annual Valentine’s Day show. Casandro and Boby Zavala will appear.
The Clown Corp tell SuperLuchas they have big plans for international and national travels.
Fuerza Guerrera is not a fan of extreme wrestling, feeling it’s not as skilled.
An AAA spot show in Zacatecas is said to include a Ninja Turtles vs Gringos VIP match.
