Carta Brava Jr., Eterno, Hijo de Pirata Morgan vs Bengala, Drago, Niño Hamburguesa: [GOOD] Good opener. It’s so weird that I’m recapping this again when I already did it when it aired on the internet. And it’s the same show, they made few edits, they’ve just added a couple of vignettes (which made sense to be added. Anyway, rudos worked well, crowd got into Niño, and Drago and Bengala had good speed runs. Finish was fun and perfect for this sort of match. The Electroshock/Hijo del Pirata segment felt like a reference to something I don’t know about.
Faby Apache & Ivelisse vs Sexy Star & Taya Valkyrie: [OK] Maybe this one was edited? Maybe I’m just less critical today? It still felt like it shoudl’ve been better than it was, but it flowed a little better and some of the Taya problem spots were better hidden. Maybe just having an introductory skit for Ivelisse makes for an improvement. Maybe I can just fast forward thru the slower parts (and the long post match brawl) and that helped a bit.
Fénix & Myzteziz vs Pentagón Jr. & Zema Ion: [GOOD] Good showcase for the Fenix/Myzteziz team, which got over well in front of a rudo-leaning audience. It held up well on rewatch. Ion fit in well here, both as a partner to Pentagon Jr. and as an opponent to Fenix & Myzteziz. AAA has so many good rudo midcarders that Ion’s not a necessary add but wouldn’t mind seeing him again. (He’d be better than Lider.) They still didn’t get a better shot of the amusing four way superkick to star the match, but that’s seems like a tough thing to shoot.
