Dark Angel, La Vaquerita, Marcela vs Amapola, Dalys, La Comandante: [OK] Good women’s match in parts, though there were groan worthy slip ups near the end. (Still better than anything on 52MX0 Very rough match for Vaquerita, between Amapola treating her like a pinata and trying to knock the candy out via dropkick in the first couple falls, and her own mishaps in the third fall. Dalys and Marcela worked well against each other; it’s one of those situations where they’ve just kept facing each other after their feud is over because that’s the way CMLL books things, and now they’d probably have a better set of matches if they started over. Dark Angel was good.
Diamante Azul, Máximo, Volador Jr. vs Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas: [OK] At the time watching this, I was struck about this being much better than the similiar 52MX match. Felino and Casas did most of the work for the rudo side, there was less annoying silliness and that tecnico got to do more too as a result. Afterwards, it was pointed out to me that all happened because Mr. Niebla was too in-no-condition to actually wrestle in the match (or get to wrestle again for the next six weeks.) It still wasn’t good, so maybe other stratgies are needed to get better Mr. Niebla matches.
La Máscara, La Sombra, Rush vs Euforia, Thunder, Último Guerrero: [OK] You’d think the crowd would react to Ultimo Guerrero as a técnico if he was so over in this feud. They didn’t at all when he teased the comeback in the first fall. The bad DQ also got no cheer, simply some boos for the Ingobernabels. (UG did get a reaction on the dive.) Cameras missed Thunder’s big double clothesline comeback, and it’s so odd that he’s being used as a técnico here after they went thru such measures to make him a heel not two months ago. Like a lot of these matches, the last segment was much better than anything that preceded it.
