recap

taped 2014-10-12 @ Domo San Luis, San Luis Potosi, San Luis Potosí

almost!

Dinastía, Faby Apache, Niño Hamburguesa, Pimpinela Escarlata vs Eterno, Mamba, Mini Abismo Negro, Taya Valkyrie: [GOOD] Fun opener to start the show. Nothing groundbreaking but continued the tradition of these openers having good action. This one in particular picked up in the second half with more back and forth action. Mini Abismo Negro stood out in his segments. There were a couple of iffy moments with Pimpinela but most everything went right. Niño Hamburuguesa looked better here, or just was managed better in this format.

how does this even happen

Monsther Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown vs Averno, Chessman, Cibernético [street fight]: [OK] Served it’s purpose even if it didn’t really seem that entertaining to me. A lot of the first half felt like a normal between these teams. Sure, there were chairs and belts, but there always are. They did get in a couple table spots, both for the comeback and for the finish, and it did feel a little bit different because of the stipulation. Not sure what were supposed to think had happened when Murder landed on his partner, because the rudos were never shown escaping.

Perro fired up about hitting a chair with a chair

El Mesías & El Patrón Alberto vs el Hijo del Perro Aguayo & Texano Jr.: [OK] Up to the finish, this was a good (or Good) match and in the running for the best match on the show. Crowd was super excited Alberto, all the action was good, Mesías looked as good as he has in a while and even the usual Perro brawl to the start felt like it had more to it than usual. It ended with the usual Hijo del Tirantes junk and that’s so tiresome that it took it down a grade. They tried to do make it as big and obvious as a screwjob as possible to protect Alberto, but Texano got nothing out of it that way. All the heat was on Hijo del Tirantes, as usual. There appeared to be an edit after the match – Tirantes sells an attack we don’t see, so they even wanted to get Alberto revenge for that. At some point, it seems like it would just be easier to have him win. Again, it’s too bad the finish happened because the match was fun and often a better version of the previous match. The big difference between this match and the last match is the last match had far less drink spots. Perro throws no less than three beers in this one, one on himself, plus Alberto threw a fourth at Perro. Mesias’ spear as part of the comeback looked awesome.
