CMLL notes for tonight, Chilanga Mask in Puebla

No Puebla results; Periodico Enfoque doesn’t have the recap. Probably the writer has the week off. Something happened with Mr. Niebla/Atlantis, since they have a title match.

CMLL’s main event tonight has Maximo, Valiente, Volador Jr. vs Felino, Negro Casas, and Rey Bucanero, the tecnicos teaming up against Peste Negra team. It should be a little different Felino and Rey Bucanero having to deal with each other as much as the tecnicos, but it’s probably a lot of another comedy focused match. Star Jr. & Soberano Jr. face Cholo, Ramsiten in the segunda. The 01/06 match seems like the right day to do the match, but CMLL still hasn’t said anything about it happening – either it’s really obvious it’s happening tonight or it’s some other day. CMLL’s preview mentions Stigma in Sensei’s place, but still has him in the tercera as well. Possibly typo, possible busy night. Pegasso vs Sagnre Azteca is the YouTube lightning match.

Mascara Dorada starts off a busy week tonight in Guadalajara. He face Mephisto (in a match that’ll air on 01/10), then has the Negro Casas title match this Friday (also airs 01/10 in Mexico, 01/17 in US.) As mentioned previously, Mascara Dorada had zero CMLL singles matches this year, but will suddenly have two in the next five days. There’s a really good fourth match, Guerrero Maya, Rey Coemta, The Panther vs Barbaro Cavernario, Hechicero and Virus, which is Cavernario’s last match before his title match on Saturday vs Titan.

On December 30th, 2014, CMLL decelerated the biggest stars of the past week were the Hermanos Dinamitas. Negro Casas & Mascara Dorada, competing for a world title, were #2 and #3. (And the winner will probably be #1 next week.) Kemonito & Periko tied at 10. The text for that mentions fans coming to the 01/06 will be able to take a picture with the mascots – Mije too.

Lucha Underground posted a teaser for Aztec Warfare. El Rey will be airing a marathon on New Year’s Eve, and again on 01/07 leading up to the new show.

Mr. Coyote took the mask of the Xalapa based Zafiro (who actually turned out to be from Tabasco.)

Rob has a music video of 08/29/14 CMLL.

Black Terry Jr. has highlights of the Violento Jack vs Ciclope no mat match from DTU.

+LuchaTV has highlights of the Guardianes de la Galaxia & Kastigador vs Tortuga Ninjas & Criss Boy from the Lucha Memes show, as well as the dance the winners got. There’s also highlights of Traumas vs Herodes/Metalico and Segura/Freelance from that show, and of Galaxy vs Kratoz vs Violento Jack from LuchaRama.

CaraLucha promo for the Traumas vs Texano/Nova.

Ohtani’s Jacket reviews El Hijo del Santo, Misterioso, Ultimo Dragon vs. Emilio Charles Jr., Fuerza Guerrera, La Fiera, CMLL 11/22/91 and Ultimo Dragon vs Negro Casas.

Segunda Caida reviews Rey Hechicero vs Black Terry.

Lineups

CHILANGA MASK (SAT) 01/17/2015 Arena Coliseo San Ramón, Puebla, Puebla
1) Arez, Belial, Impulso vs Rey Dragon, Rey Fenix, Tonak
2) Keira vs Orion
3) Asturiano vs Judas el Traidor
4) Tigre Rojo Jr. & Toro Bill Jr. vs Trauma I & Trauma II
5) Black Terry & Negro Navarro vs Tigre Rojo & Toro Bill Sr.

Chilanga’s stop in the new Puebla arena. Top two matches could be good, but the Tigre Rojos and the Toro Bills are constantly at war and will have to work together here. Other matches should be good – Rey Fenix is a well regarded Puebla flyer.

CMLL (MON) 01/05/2015 Arena Puebla
1) Black Tiger, Robin, Tigre Rojo Jr. vs Artillero, Policeman, Súper Comando
2) Astral, Astro, Asturiano vs Demus 3:16, Espíritu Maligno, Saurón
3) Dark Angel, Estrellita, Marcela vs Amapola, Tiffany, Zeuxis
4) Máximo, Valiente, Volador Jr. vs Ephesto, Mephisto, Pólvora
5) Atlantis vs Mr. Niebla

Astro is probably Astro Aereo Jr., who was last here in October. I wonder if Estrellita or Zeuxis will actually wrestle in that match.

12/27-28 lucha videos

IWRG was a rerun of the cage match show. Puebla didn’t air and isn’t on the schedule at the moment – no idea if it’s off TVC Deportes or it’s just because they’re showing a lot of other sports. CMLL still isn’t airing on TV Mexiquense, I taped that all weekend just to be sure.

The current version of CMLL on Terra on DailyMotion is no good; I think I’ll put up a good version on YouTube as an experiment.

AAA, a second part of their year in review, will be up later. AAA will have it on their YouTube channel.

Anyone got a better idea than ul.to?
