Dark Angel, Goya Kong, La Vaquerita vs Amapola, Makoto, Narumiya: [OK] Another match with the REINA duo where others work very hard to keep the match together. I wish we had gotten Vaquerita on every TV show for two weeks instead of the visitors. Double moves by Amapola and Narumiya were kept interesting by the two going for completely different moves half the time. Another highlight was Narumiya trying to clothesline Goya Kong while she was already ducking. (And still, they had her do most of the work and kept Makoto out of the ring, which says a lot about Makoto and makes it even more confusing she was given the title match.) Third fall appeared to fall apart for like a minute, or people were on very different plans for a while, but they eventually got it back to Goya Kong usual finish.
Dragon Lee, Máscara Dorada, Valiente vs Boby Zavala, Maléfico, Pólvora: [GOOD] A good match where all three técnicos looked very smooth. There are longer and deeper matches, but this one was just fun. Dorada and Valiente didn’t even break out most of their material and Malefico was kind out of place, but everything they tried worked very good and the dive spots looked great. They actually used Lee’s flip bump off clothesline as a finish!
Diamante Azul, La Máscara, Rush vs Bárbaro Cavernario, Terrible, Vangellys: [OK] Just a routine match for the most part. The parts with Rush versus Terrible and Rush versus Cavernario were stand outs; they only did a seconds of one of the latter, but enough to see how it could really be fun as a singles. Cavernario also broke flight records on Azul’s monkey. Just in case you don’t look at the results, Barbaro won the first fall with a legdrop and a dropkick. It’s not all splashes to the floor – not everything is a splash to the floor.
