Guerra de Titanes is tonight at 6pm CT, and they’re usually pretty good at starting . It’s only legally available on conventional PPV. It should turn up on TV in January though I’m not sure about the timing. I’ll attempt to do some sort of live results on Twitter.
1) Dinastía © vs Mini Charly Manson [AAA MINI]
This will work good as opener; Diniasta is all about quick action and that works for this spot. These two have worked well together at other times. The finish might be more about balancing the rest of the show – there’s going to be a lot of other titles change, but there’s also going to be a lot of rudo wins, and either thing might affect the finish. I figure Dinastia just keeps being champion.
2) Ivelisse & Faby Apache vs Sexy Star & Taya Valkyrie
Probably time for the rudas to get one back, since Ivelisse has won both times so far. Whatever the next big match is here is still a while away so it’s more about having a good match than an outcome. They didn’t quite have a good match in DF, maybe this will go better.
3) Fénix & Myzteziz vs Angélico & Jack Evans © and Joe Lider & Pentagón Jr. [AAA TAG]
The idea of handing over the tag team division to Myzteziz is a good one. It’ll add value to these championships, give AAA another feud they can move in and out of the main event, and keeps Myzteziz special instead of just being the odd main out in the Mega title/Perros storyline. I’m just not sure if they’ll end up winning the titles here. The top two matches look to be happy results and this is one where AAA could more easily push off the big win for another day without damaging the tecnicos. Pentagon & Lider picking up the titles in some Perros del Mal chicanery, laying the ground work for the tease of the same later on, fits the night.
4) Monsther Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown © vs Averno, Chessman, Cibernético [AAA TRIOS]
This feud almost seems to have taken a step back to Konnan demanding the Hell Brothers sign up for his side. Cibernetico has laughed off the idea of joining La Sociedad, and the drama is more in how they’ll respond. Costing the Hell Brothers this match is a good start. It’d also explain why they’ve done this feud so many times on TV already if both sides were just doing a one show program and moving on to other sides afterwards. There’s been nothing about this feud which makes me want to see more of it.
(This also seems a good place to ask “what happened to the Electroshock storyline?” Last time we saw him on TV, he was contemplating retiring. He’s still on spot shows, but did his TV character retire? Did it just go in the “Billy el Malo’s protege” waste bucket of forgotten ideas? Could he come back with a new look tonight?)
5) Aerostar vs Súper Fly [mask]
It would be the ultimate troll move to people who read this website for Aerostar to get a real TV push only to lose his mask. I don’t think AAA is in the business of being trolls, but there is a little reason to be concerned. The good guy usually loses falls in every match but the last one in AAA feuds (see the next match) and Aerostar actually won the last match. Still, Super Fly’s back on TV to have a good match and to lose his mask, and both figure to happen here. Super Fly’s moved on an Aerostar dive and tried to set him ablaze with his own fire can in the buildup, and at least one of those figure to happen again here.
6) El Patrón Alberto vs Texano Jr. © [AAA HEAVY]
This should be a coronation. AAA will stand for Alberto Alberto Alberto. There might be some difficulty down the road with this: if Alberto is working as many places as he says he’s working next year, AAA might have as much problems getting dates on him as they seemed to have with Blue Demon Jr. That’s a problem for another day; there’s no way Albert loses all the matches in this feud unless he’s retiring tomorrow. Texano’s twice escaped Alberto’s armbar and uppercut fouled him, so that’s what Alberto has to survive here.
