11/17 AAA TV Lineup (Leon)

AAA TV (MON) 11/17/2014 Domo de la Feria, Leon, Guanajuato
1) ? & ?? vs ??? & ????
2) Dinastía & Mini Drago vs Mini Murder Clown & Mini Psycho Clown
3) Bengala, Drago, Faby Apache vs Demon Rocker, Joe Lider, Taya Valkyrie
4) Aerostar & Australian Suicide vs Pentagón Jr. & Súper Fly
5) Monsther Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown vs Averno, Chessman, Cibernético
6) Fénix & Myzteziz vs Angélico & Jack Evans and Robbie E & Zema Ion
7) El Mesías & El Patrón Alberto vs el Hijo del Perro Aguayo & Texano Jr.

Air Date: 11/22 and 11/29 – this appears to be a two show taping, which is a mild surprise given how many tapings they’ve got lined up in a short time.

A couple rematches from Heroes Inmortales, including the main event. It seems to me that if you just had to beat Alberto quickly to build up suspense for Guerra de Titanes, it would’ve been just as easy to do it in Leon as it would’ve been in SLP where it wouldn’t have be as damaging to Alberto. AAA did what they did, so now I’m confused why they’d bother doing the match again. Texano beating Alberto or Alberto beating Texano seems counter productive (both ought to be protected from now until the 7th.) Maybe something with Mesias and Perro?

Semimain has the tag champs in Jack & Angelico. It’s listed as non-title

Robbie E & Zema Ion (going five years and one name change between AAA appearances) are in from TNA but likely not booked thru TNA. TNA wrestlers are free until January to book themselves wherever they want as long as they’re not broadcast in the US, and AAA fits that. AAA had previously said they were done working with TNA after Jarrett had left, so that’s another reason to believe the wrestlers worked this out on their own. (In more positive promotional alliance news, this week’s WON mentioned AAA is talking to Wrestle-1 about working together.)

The last foreign tag team to come in to face Jack & Angelico got multiple vignettes (mostly on the website), had one match, and were never spoken about again. Zema Ion’s own previous appearance – as Shiima Xion – seemed to be cut shorter than it was intended to be. It seems like decent odds he and current Amazing Race participant Robbie E will be around a little longer this time – with another taping on five days later, it’s probably worth keeping them around a few more days to get two shows out of the flights.

The Myzteziz & Fenix team follows up on Myzteziz praising Fenix after the Copa Pena tournament. AAA seems to want to use Myzteziz to get over their younger guys – this may be the start as Fenix as La Sombra.

Psycho Circus versus the Hell Brothers should led into a trios title match. It’s tougher to pinpoint exactly when these matches will happen; AAA will need a main event for Guerra de Titanes, but they’re just as likely to do any important undercard matches on the 11/28 show in DF as on the official year end show. It’s the power of Mexico City (and a way of freeing up some of these guys for other roles on the second show.)

Fourth match on the top combines two of the ongoing midcard mask feuds from this year. We’ve been kind of expecting one or the other or both to have their mask match at the end of the year. Maybe we’ll have a better idea of which one, or perhaps this is a setup to a relevos suicidas where no one will know which one is happening until it does. This match itself should be pretty good.

Faby & Taya continue to feud (rematch at Guerra de Titanes?) Joe and Taya being around early means they’ll be around the main event too. Openers mini match should be fun. Dark match figures to be Bobby Lee Jr. special (he’s seems to always be on the Leon shows as a deal with the commission.)

Next taping is 11/22. Maybe we’ll get that one in five days?

  1. “The last foreign tag team to come in to face Jack & Angelico got multiple vignettes (mostly on the website), had one match, and were never spoken about again.”

Rightfully so. They didn’t deserve to have a word spoken about their abysmal performance.

  2. AAA feeling left out of the Jarrett/GFW/NJPW/ROH agreement, since NJPW works with ROH/CMLL and not AAA. Maybe AAA is looking to work with TNA and Wrestle-1 because they are no longer a Jarrett/GFW priority

  3. I don’t think they’re looking to work with TNA – they’ve had problems previously, they have their own Wednesday night show, and they’d go with GFW first. Ion/Robbie are here on their own, not thru TNA.

I think AAA’s interest in having a deal with Wrestle-1 is mostly about being able to offer trips to Japan in talent recruitment talks.

  4. I’ve always wondered, why the trips to japan are so important? Is it for the wrestlers merchandise sales? The added experience or just contacts in another part of the world?
I can’t imagine the pay off in japan being all that much unless expenses and travel is covered?

Mascara Dorada seems to favour new japan over cmll at times.
