Wagner defeats Canek, Volador defeats Sombra (again)

indy (SUN) 10/05/2014 Arena Lopez Mateos [Black Terry Jr. (flickr), Estrellas del Ring]
1) Chucho el Roto, Hijo De Talisman, Spider Boy b Discordia, Ironía, Pequeño Demonio
2) Esther Moreno, Lady Apache, Reyna Del Sur b Cristal, Felina Metalica, Rossy Moreno
3) Sádico, Súper Nova, Yakuza b Flamita, Mike Segura, Terry 2000 highlights (posted by tvluchadelpasado)
money thrown in, said to be a great match
4) Hijo de Pirata Morgan & Pirata Morgan Jr. b Trauma I & Trauma II and Aeroboy & Violento Jack highlights (posted by tvluchadelpasado)
Aero & Jack were out first, then Hijo del Pirata stole Trauma II’s mask to beat him.
5) Negro Navarro © b Pirata Morgan [FMLL MASTER]
The Traumas and the Piratas were the seconds and got involved a lot. Navarro snuck in a foul on Morgan while the referee was distracted.
6) Dr. Wagner Jr. & Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. DQ Canek & Toscano
LA Park pulled out of the show due to medical issues, with Canek replacing him. Wagner fouled Canek, Canek pulled Wagner’s mask, ref only saw Canek with the mask and called the DQ on him.

Flamita has had nothing but really good matches since coming back to Mexico.

CMLL (MON) 10/06/2014 Arena Puebla [Periodico Enfoque]
1) Centauro de Fuego & Fuerza Chicana b Meyer & Paris
Rudos took 2/3.
2) Blue Center & Demus 3:16 b Astro Aéreo Jr. & Último Dragoncito
Demus destroyed Ultimo Dragoncito at the finish.
3) Asturiano, Dragon Lee, Oro Jr. DQ Arkángel de la Muerte, King Jaguar, Siki Ozama Jr.
Arkangel came back into the ring to attack Asturiano after being eliminated.
4) Ángel de Oro, Rey Cometa, Stigma DQ Misterioso Jr., Sagrado, Skándalo
Skandalo is back again. Stigma is said to have come back in after being eliminated to attack Misterioso (second DQ for that in a row?)
5) Ephesto, Hombre sin Nombre, Mephisto b Máximo, Stuka Jr., Valiente
Rudos took 2/3.
6) Volador Jr. © b La Sombra [NWA WELTER]
Volador took falls 2/3 to win. Volador’s first defense on this reign.

A title change was unlikely here. Volador gets to have a title. Sombra already has a title. Everyone gets a title.

The best match on tonight’s CMLL show might be the lightning match uploaded before the night is over. Dragon Lee continues his not-feud against the Cancerberos by taking on the underated Raziel’s in CMLL weekly uploaded match. The main event could be good as well, with Mascara Dorada & Titan teaming up with Atlantis to take on Gran Guerrero, Rey Escorpion and Niebla Roja.

LuchaWorld has this week’s Poster-Mania.

Maligno picked up the Distrito Federal Heavyweight Championship from Capitan Furia in San Luis Potosi. It’s still unknown if Mexico City is actually recognizing these title reigns.

Ultimo Dragon was honored in El Salvador (by a promotion that runs small shows in the basement of a shopping mall.) Dragon seems to turn up in Central America quite a bit, and said he visits the region his because his father worked there and he wanted to see the places his father remembered and loved. I didn’t know Dragon’s father was in wrestling (though I guess he could’ve had another job that took him there.

Maximo is #1 on the CMLL top 10 list; Demus is #10 (for losing but still challening people.)

Zorro talks about Copa Antonio Pena.

Looks like Claro Sports was filming a feature on Hechicero yesterday.

Lineups

IWRG (SUN) 10/12/2014 Arena Naucalpan
1) Septimo Dragon & Sky Ángel vs Cirujano Jr. & Hip Hop Man
2) Diva Salvaje, Estrella Divina, Miss Gaviota vs Rayan, Spartan, Violencia Jr.
3) Leo, Mike, Rafy, Teelo vs Avisman, El Hijo del Diablo, Oficial 911, Oficial AK47
4) Dr. Cerebro, Pantera, Veneno vs Canis Lupus, Demon Clown, X-Fly
5) Hijo De Dos Caras, Negro Navarro, Toscano vs Hijo de Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan, Pirata Morgan Jr.

Demon Clown and X-Fly is quite a team. Main event follows up on the Pirata/Dos issues from last week.

Negro Navarro & Violencia are back here for the first time in a while. Septimo Dragon is from Guanajuato and works for DTU normally (though seemed to miss the last couple of shows to work in Monterrey instead.) An Estrella Divina has also been working for DTU and I’d guess it’s the one who normally works in Tampico (and not the one who was working in Guerrero.) There’s a Cirujano working in Puebla and Estado de Mexico; assuming that’s one guy, that’s probably this guy.

I’m so cynical about IWRG – and everything else! – that I want to start a pool on which Ninja Turtle goes missing first. I’m guessing Teelo.

CMLL (MON) 10/13/2014 Arena Puebla
1) Arkalis & Rey Samuray vs Centauro de Fuego & Rey Apocalipsis
2) Black Tiger, Milenium, Robin vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Fuerza Chicana, Nitro
3) Fuego, Rey Cometa, Tigre Rojo Jr. vs Olímpico, Puma, Tiger
4) Ángel de Oro, Diamante Azul, Super Porky vs Rey Bucanero, Shocker, Terrible
5) Euforia, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero vs Atlantis, Máximo, Valiente

Ultimo Guerrero versus Atlantis.

None of the DQs from this week’s show appear this week.

We all thought it was odd to see Olimpico hugging Ultimo Guerrero after he lost his mask at the Anniversary show. We thought it was odd because we didn’t know they were that close. We probably should’ve thought it was odd because it was Olimpico appearing in Arena Mexico. He’s only wrestled there twice this year, once in February and once in June. He’s still getting booked in Puebla (slightly) and Guadalajara (more than slightly.)
