Very much a show.
AAA held a press conference in San Luis Potosi yesterday to promote Heroes Inmortales. They had someone there from every match, though surprisingly not Taya. Nothing of note was said; the news stories were more about Alberto del Rio, who not there. Alberto was on his way back to Mexico yesterday after posting a string of Twitter messages this weekend about racism. It seemed like something set him off, but it wasn’t clear what happened. (Also, he RTed a post about the Tijuana show, so maybe he’s working that and not WWC.)
This week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter says Hernandez is out of Lucha Underground, speculating there was some issue this past week. Hernandez never worked a TV match on the tapings, but did work a dark match on the 09/07 show. They may have just never agreed to a contract; the group was (and probably still is) looking at more people to come in and agreeing on contracts is still a sticking point.
The WON also mentioned that, in addition to Rey Jr., ex-WWE JTG was backstage at the most recent tapings and the original plan was to have no exoticos on the show but plans changed. Meanwhile, Super Fly sounds like he’s headed to Los Angeles soon.
This Saturday Lucha Underground show will have the doors open at 3pm and the show is scheduled to run until 9pmish. Six hours so they can tape two episodes. The doors don’t close until around 4:30, so maybe try not to get there until four so you can shave off an hour. I’ve gone to a couple SHIMMER shows out here near Chicago which are even a little longer, just because doing the math suggests there’s going to be at least 2 or 3 good matches if you’re running tapings that long. The math held up, but that last good match would inevitable be the final match of the show and I would be more focused on the quickest possible way I could get out of the building that the match. It sounds like Lucha Underground have plans to counter that sort of burnout: they’re planning a between episodes meet & greet and are advertising a battle royal and a 10 way match in addition to the previously announced ladder match. One of those will be your 8:40pm main event to get people to stick it out (and that usually worked with me.) The ladder match is listed as for $100,000 – no wonder these tapings cost so much.
Tercera Caida had Cien Caras Jr. as guest. The after the show video is also up.
CMLL Informa had Thunder, Rush and Mephisto as guests. Thunder said he had a shoulder injury that required surgery and kept him out seven months. (I hope he’s not telling the truth here because that would mean he was just training for a couple of weeks before coming back and he needed a lot more training than that.) Mephisto guessed Sombra would win this week’s Copa Jr. VIP block and suggested things aren’t settled with Hombre sin Nombre being added to their group. Rush said Rush things. They must know Rush is a good promo because he was the one guy who didn’t really have anything in particular to talk on but they had him on anyway.
Dragon Rojo Jr. says he’s close to returning.
There was a press conference for a 10/04 Puebla show with AAA wrestlers yesterday. It appears, based on the differences in the card as announced and on the AAA website, that the Puebla Alebrije is not a current member of the AAA roster or at least working here as an independent and not thru AAA. DTU Nerd Tommy (listed as Tony) is wrestling in the second match; I was told Puebla indy wrestler Rey Fenix as one of the Nerds and wasn’t sure which one, but that makes it look like Rey Fenix is Tommy.

Super Crazy and Pesadilla are on the 10/12 NOAH show, with Crazy challenging for the junior heavyweight title. It’s a slightly strange deal, because that show leads into their Global League heavyweight series, and neither of the Mexicans are listed as being on the show.
DTU posted a teaser for their upcoming 7th Anniversary show.
DJ Spectro has a bio of Espectro I.
Los Porros challenge Los Porros.
Volador and Diamante Azul say they’re not scared of Thunder.

6) ? vs ??
if Cien & Demon advance, this will be mask vs mask. If Dos & Mascara advance, this will be heavyweight title vs Rey del Ring title.
IWRG main events set up like that usually end up in a title change; maybe this is the moment where Dos loses the title after missing previous matches.
They’ve stacked a good group of rudos to make the Ninja Turtle debut go well. There’s more people booked on this show than usual.

I guess is official for WWC, WWC already announce Del Rio this past weekend vs Carlito in Ponce and expecting vs Rey Gonzalez in Caguas. WWC need Del Rio it’s the only draw for the Anniversary show.
Chilanga Mask uploaded a new poster for their Monterrey show. The old poster has written Centauro Negro, in place of El Hijo de Centurion Negro. The new one is correct in all the roster names.
Both those Chilanga Mask shows this month look out of this world amazing. If you can get to either show but choose not to I don’t even know what to say. Seem like can’t miss shows for true wrestling fans.
