IWRG AAA (WED) 07/02/2014 Arena Naucalpan [Black Terry Jr. (Flickr), Estrellas del Ring, The Gladiatores]
1) Emperador Azteca & Látigo b Anubis Black & Zurdog
2) Oficial 911, Oficial AK47, Oficial Fierro b Alan Extreme, Diva Salvaje, Imposible
3) Golden Magic, Hijo De Dos Caras, Súper Nova b Demon Rocker, Machine Rocker, Soul Rocker
Team IWRG beat the rockers.
4) Monsther Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown b Eterno, Pirata Morgan, Texano Jr.
Rudos took 1/3, Texano slipping in a foul on Psycho Clown.
5) La Parka & Myzteziz b Averno & Black Warrior
Myzteziz might have worked as Sin Cara, but fans were chanting Mistico. It’s all the same. Tecnicos took 1/3, Mistica on Averno while Parka beat Warrior
Huge crowd for Myzteziz’s return to the building. AAA’s not really doing angles with him, becuase he just needs to show up with one of his old rivals to fill buildings this size.
AAA begins a two taping weekend tonight in Arena Xalapa. The arena has been bringing in pretty regularly of late, focusing on a Consejo versus locals feud. I’m not sure if that makes a difference or not, but it’s something to watch for with Mascara Ano & Fantasma in the semimain match. The card is generally the same as the other recent cards, with Myzteziz on top against his rivals and various less feud based matches underneath. Pentagon and Australian Suicide are on the card, which means they’ll be messing with each other’s matches. Aerostar says he’s going to be in Xalapa, so his previous injury won’t prevent him from facing his TripleMania opponents in the tercera (which looks like the best mach on the show.) The women’s opener includes Faby & Taya, so maybe there will be more information about when Taya is getting her title shot. The show will air next Saturday on TV.
Yesterday’s CMLL Informa (official version already up here) confirmed the Friday night Terra broadcasts are done for the time being. The broadcasts actually ended prior to last Friday, only CMLL and Terra didn’t tell anyone, per usual. They still didn’t plan to say anything, but Alfredo asked the question and it somehow got on air. Sunday’s show and the Wednesday Informa show will continue. (It’s worth noting here that Fredo got an answer on Facebook, and during CMLL Informa. They took answers to their trivia game primarily thru the Facebook site as well. Asking questions on Twitter isn’t going to work because the press department completely ignores Twitter.)
JCR also said CMLL would now be airing Saturdays on Television Mexiquense, a public television channel available over the air in the Mexico City area and cable systems elsewhere. It also has a video feed on their site. There’s no show listed as lucha libre on this Saturday’s schedule, and I’m unsure if that means the show doesn’t debut quite yet or if the schedule is just out of date (a fairly common issue with Mexico TV listings.) It’s possible this show could air some Fridays matches which will no longer air on Terra, but we won’t really have an idea until the first time it airs.
Tercera Caida had Daga, Eterno and Steve Pain as guests. The behind the scenes video is up as well.
Nitro is headed back to France for a training seminar from July 7-14.
Jennifer Blake talks about her match on the upcoming Ring and RockStAAArs show, her first TV match in about six weeks. There’s also a local article promoting the show and the other activities this weekend.
El Diario de Coahuila has a bio of Orquidea Negra, who turns up in Arena Coliseo Monterrey fairly often. Near the end of the interview, Orquidea claims that when he was supposed to debut (back in 1990), his parents locked him in his bathroom, did not allow him food for 15 days, and broke all his amateur wrestling trophies Seems a bit harsh.
Vocativ has a two part video on lucha libre. They go to Tijuana (02/07/2013 show), so of course they run into Damian 666 & Bestia 666. Also, Angel Metalico nearly breaks his neck about 4:33 in the first video.
Lucha Libre in Japan
07/03 Dragon Gate: T-Hawk, Eita [O], Flamita b Akira Tozawa [X], Shingo Takagi, Uhaa Nation. There are Flamita gifs from the match here and here, and the full show is on uStream. Flamita defends the Brave Gate championship versus Dragon Kid on 07/20, also on uStream.

Does this mean Radio CMLL will be making a comeback?
