Arena Fusion, Invasors defeat Guererros/Avernos

AAA (SUN) 03/30/2014 Arena Fusion, Jardines de Morelos, Estado de México [Black Terry Jr. (Flickr), Estrellas del Ring, The Gladiatores]
1) AstroLux & Eclipse b Black Metal (EDM) & Destello Negro
2) Kilvan & Yoruba b Alex Segura Jr. & Kronoz
3) Alex Segura, Apolo Estrada Jr., Corsario Negro Jr., Drako b Black Shadow Jr., Soy Raymunda, Terremoto Negro, Zaifro
Straight falls. Soy Raymunda was bloodied.
4) Fénix b Belial [AAA FUSION] Black Terry Jr. (highlights) (posted by tvluchadelpasado)
Fenix is champion. Fenix won with a double knee drop. Seventh known defense (though it’s eighth by Fenix’s count – we’re probably missing one.)
5) Pentagón Jr. b Arez [? STRONG STYLE, hair] Black Terry Jr. (highlights) (posted by )
Arez is some Strong Style champion. Actual belt was a WCW World Championship replica. Pentagon won whatever it was. Match was also mask vs hair, and Arez was shaved. Money thrown in.
6) Monsther Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown b Demon Rocker, Machine Rocker, Soul Rocker [AAA TRIOS]
Psycho Circus kept their trios titles. Sixth known defense.

Black Terry Jr. has highlights of Fenix vs Belial and Arez vs Pentagon Jr., which means you’ll be able to buy them thru his website. Tercera Caida – which looks like it’ll air on Thursday this week – was also shooting this show. The Estrellas del Ring recap doesn’t mention the main event as a title match, but the idea was three title matches for their third anniversary show.

CMLL (MON) 03/31/2014 Arena Puebla [Periodico Enfoque]
1) Ares, Guerrero Espacial, Hechicero b Paris, Robin, Tigre Rojo Jr.
2) Blue Center, Espíritu Maligno, Pierrothito b Asturiano, Eléctrico, Último Dragoncito
Rudos took 1/3, Espiritu beating Asturiano.
3) Boby Zavala b Stigma [lightning]
Zavala won via powerbomb in eight minutes.
4) Kráneo, Morphosis, Mr. Águila, Olímpico, Ripper b Averno, Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Mephisto, Niebla Roja [cibernetico]
Eliminator order: Gran Guerrero (Olimpico), Kraneo (Averno), Niebla Roja (Ripper), Olimpico (Euforia), Morphosis (Averno), Euforia (Mr. Aguila), Averno (Mr. Aguila), Ripper (Mephisto), Mephisto (Mr. Aguila via foul after Ripper distraction). Averno challenged for a hair/mask vs hair/mask match.
5) Mr. Niebla & Negro Casas b La Sombra & Volador Jr.
Straight fall for the rudos for usual Sombra/Volador problems. Casas wanted a title match against Volador, but Volador & Sombra were preoccupied with their usual hair vs mask challenges.

I guess Mr. Aguila is kept around because people like him, but I can’t figure why he wins. (That’s the Invasors in total.) Really dumb to allow Stigma to lose here unless there’s an immediate plan for a bigger win (which there probably isn’t.)

CMLL’s preview of tonight’s show focuses on Triton, but the actual top issue is the Averno/Mistico feud. That seems a week or two away from a title match, so tonight is Mistico, Sombra and Triton versus Averno, Puma and Mephisto. In the odd planning department, Hechicero is in a lightning match right before he starts seven weeks of lightning matches.

Hombre Bala Jr. replaces Metalico tonight in Arena Mexico. Dragon Rojo Jr. returns to action by replacing Mephisto on Sunday.
