Michinoku shoulder breaker

Dark Angel, Marcela, Silueta vs Amapola, Dalys, Zeuxis: A women’s match where the editing might have hurt, that’s different. This was a surprisingly fun match live and it didn’t seem quite as much on TV, though it was still better than average. Solid work in a short two fall match. Zeuxis, in another new look for her, was really good and it’s nice to have Dark Angel around. Dalys still is far from smooth – the painful part of the might have been in part because of how tough it was to set it up – but she’s gotten more tolerable as a ruda. The build to this match has been better than to their last title match.

planchas all around

Cavernario, Mr. Niebla, Último Guerrero vs Soberano Jr., Valiente, Volador Jr.: Winner (and runner up) of the Gran Alternativa get to have a standard semimain trios. Both got moments to highlight themselves, but this was a regular match and they got their in their moves in that context. Soberano looked a little bit better, they both had moments of iffyness, neither guy was made a star but both seemed like they’d do okay in the midcard. Babe Richard forgot to count out the rudos in the second fall, totally confusing Valiente. Valiente’s tope in the third hit Ultimo hard.

Soberano takes a header

Marco Corleone, Máximo, Rush vs Felino, Negro Casas, Shocker: A third short match to round out the show, though this one was intended to be that way for the story they were telling. The Negro Casas injury is obviously a storyline excuse to take him out of action, they did a good job of getting the severity of it with Rush putting on the hold repeatedly and Negro selling it big. There wasn’t as much Negro/Rush leading up to the injury, probably more comedy with Marco. Máximo didn’t get in much besides his tope, but he and Marco didn’t show the usual técnico annoyance when Rush got them disqualified. Crowd seemed willing turn on Shocker a little bit by the end; Shocker’s more willing to go harder rudo than Negro Casas, which might make for interesting reactions in the hair match. Announcers killed a lot of time after the match for a show with two very obviously edited match – and one where they showed highlights of Terrible & Azul instead of the women’s match.
