Dos Caras & Brazo de Plata shows, Averno vs Titan, Dr. Wagner, Isis, Dark Angel, Styles

LEGEND (SAT) 11/16/2013 Arena Lopez Mateos [Tercera Caida]
4) Drako b Star Moon [XProject CHAMP]
Unannounced title match. First defense for title last seen on a 2012 Valerie Office show.
5) Oficial 911 & Oficial AK47 b Chucho el Roto & Iron Love and Trauma I & Trauma II and Rocky Santana & Romano Garcia [AULL TAG]
Chucho el Roto & Iron Love came in as champions but fall in fourth (?) defense. Oficials are new champions.
6) Dos Caras Sr., Hijo De Dos Caras, Sicodelico Sr., Solar I b Canek, Negro Navarro, Scorpio Jr., Villano IV
Solar replaced Sicodelico Jr.

Attendance does not look good in the pictures, far less than you’d figure for these names.

CMLL TRAGEDIAS (SAT) 11/16/2013 Deportivo el Pavon [Estrellas del Ring]
***Brazo de Plata 36th Anniversary show***
1) Brazo Cibernetico b Mike Segura and Miss Gaviota and Brazo de Oro Jr. and Magnetico and Demonio del Pantano and El Guerillero and Tanque Infernal [cibernetico]
Opener was changed into a cibernetico match with added people.
2) Canis Lupus, Centvrión, Freelance b Dinamic Black, Flyer, Golden Magic
3) Aramis, Goya Kong, Muneca De Plata b Estrellita, Princesa Sugheit, Tiffany
This Aramis is a Brazo, and not the same one that’s been wrestling in Coliseo Coacalco. This may have been her debut match.
4) Guerrero Maya Jr., La Máscara, Robin (CMLL), Super Brazo vs Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto, Misterioso Jr.
Robin and Misteriso were added to the match.
5) Brazo de Oro, Brazo de Platino, Super Porky b Dragón Rojo Jr., Mr. Niebla, Pierroth
Pierrothito was with Pierroth.

The only upset on the show is the second match – somehow, a Brazo wasn’t on the winning team! You know what you were in for on this show, and that’s probably while they were there. Goya was double booked and missed an all women’s show to make this one; Big Mama replaced her. I feel like that’s a totally fair replacement.

CMLL (SUN) 11/17/2013 Arena Mexico [CMLL]
1) Mercurio & Pequeño Warrior b Acero & Stukita
Rudos took 2/3.
2) Magnus, Stigma, Súper Halcón Jr. DQ Camorra, Hijo del Signo, Nosferatu
Straight falls. Camorra pulled Stigma’s mask for the DQ. They continue to feud.
3) Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr., Tritón b Arkángel de la Muerte, Hooligan, Nitro
Tecnicos took 2/3.
4) Dark Angel b Dalys [lightning]
Dark Angel won in 7:10 with a cradle.
5) Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero, Volador Jr. b Rey Cometa, Super Porky, Thunder
Rudos took it 1/3, despite a great Brillo Cometa on Niebla Roja. UG and Volador beat the other two.
6) La Sombra, Titán, Valiente b Averno, Ephesto, Mephisto
Tecnicos took 2/3, Titan beating Averno. Titan wants another match with Averno, but Averno said not yet.

That’s it for Sombra in Mexico City; he’s got Ultimo Guerrero Send Off match in Guadalajara on Tuesday. (That did not work out well for Valiente.) Sombra heads to Japan, getting a break from being the CMLL rising tecnico star hated by the public by teaming with NJPW’s rising tecnico star hated by the public. It’s not a tag team, it’s a support group.

Announcers said Dark Angel was not in Wednesday’s bodybuilding contest. That seems surprising and unlikely, since she’s clearly been training to be in the contest for many months, it’d been previously said she would be in the contest and she’s pretty much the enduring star of the contest after winning the women’s division every single year they’ve run it. Dark Angel is only not in the bodybuilding contest if there’s something going on to keep her out.

JCR mentioned Isis was headed to REINA for three months. She had said mentioned she was heading to the promotion near the end of the year on this week’s Tercera Caida extra.

CMLL (SUN) 11/17/2013 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [@acogdl]
1) El Tapatío & El Yaqui b Brillante & Explosivo
Rudos took 2/3.
2) El Divino & Javier Cruz Jr. b Acertijo & Jocker
Tecnicos took 1/3, the first by excessive fall DQ.
3) Halcón de Plata, Sky Kid, Virgo b Ángel del Mal, Évola, Magnum
Tecnicos straight falls.
4) Black Metal, Gallo, León Blanco b Bárbaro Cavernario, Exterminador, Maléfico
Tecnicos took 1/3.
5) Gran Guerrero, Pierroth, Vangellys b Diamante Azul, Sagrado, Stuka Jr.
Rudos took 1/3.

A show.

Waiting for the full recap of the ChilangaMask show, but there were very positive reviews for Rey Cometa vs Impulso and Belial vs Ricky Marvin, among other matches. It was announced Aero Boy will debut in CZW in 01/11/2014 – finally, me being inexplicably added to the CZW mailing list will pay off.

Dr. Wagner Jr., who earned many eye rolls last week with his talk about invading CMLL, showed up at today’s sponsored Arena Naucalpan show to tease the same thing. It doesn’t mean much until he actually sets foot in Arena Mexico or Arena Coliseo, but CMLL officials were in the building and had no problem with Wagner doing his appearance, so maybe there’s something more to than usual attention seeking. Still seems unlikely. In another oddity, Canis Lupus’ second for this title match on a with Guerrero Maya was AAA (and IWRG)’s Eterno.

The Gladiatores chats with AJ Styles, who says Mexico will see him again too. AAA TV set up Jeff & Karen Jarrett coming in to battle Perro Aguayo Jr., but it wouldn’t be like AAA to go straight to the Jarrett singles match. Maybe Styles comes back for an atomicos match or something. It’d explain why Texano has no title match (and why he ran in) if AAA’s got something like Styles/Mesias/Cibernetico/Perro versus Jeff Jarrett/Texano/random Secta or Consejo members.

AAA and Hard Rock Puerto Vallerta have a travel package for their taping their in December. Cross promotion could mean a bigger show than usual for the last taping of the year.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.
