Psicosis trips Dinastia (and himself)

Dinastía vs Mini Abismo Negro for the AAA World Minis Championship: Good, but not nearly as good as I was hoping it’d be. They weren’t smooth, there weren’t any long sustained sequences and the seconds definitely detracted from the match. I’m not sure what the point of Psicosis attacking Dinastía in the ring was, since even the announcers noted it should’ve been a DQ, it didn’t set up anything for the rest of the match and they had already established Psicosis helping out with the earlier cheating. 70% of this match felt like dramatic two counts, and guys going from nearly dead to completely fine and hitting their own big move two seconds later. There were good moments but it was not a well put together match.

makes less sense the more times you watch it

Drago, Faby Apache, Pimpinela Escarlata vs Argos, Mamba, Mary Apache: A below average mixed trios. The women and exotico were fine, but the match definitely felt like it was going thru the motions for the most part and Argos & Drago were just terrible together. They had three or four things go wrong, including the finish (which didn’t look right in the second try.) Totally skippable match.

Perros remove Espiritu

Daga, el Hijo del Perro Aguayo, Psicosis vs Dark Ozz, Dark Scoria, Dark Spíritu: For a lot of the way, this was easily the strongest La Secta had looked since their rudo turn. They did destroy the Perros pretty handily for the first half of the match, it was overall even La Secta even despite losing a guy by accidental along the way, and Ozz did win with his own move instead of totally being gifted by the distraction (as in Naucalpan.) And then Perro just took out Espiritu and Ozz by himself after the match and that was that. AAA is really consistent about giving the rudos the upper hand at all times, except when it comes to this crew. There was some poor production work on this show – the camera choice for the finish was really poor and seems like it should’ve been fixed in post-production, but maybe they didn’t get the shot at all. There were chyron errors in the previous match which should’ve been caught by anyone watching the show before it went out. AAA pushed Psicosis being mean to Drago the whole show, but helping La Secta doesn’t really make sense when he’s supposed to be friends with Faby Apache (and it doesn’t appear they were going anywhere with the Psicosis/Drago issue.)
