AAA TV (WED) 10/02/2013 Auditorio Miguel Barragan de San Luis Potosi [AAA]
1) Aerostar, Octagoncito, Pimpinela Escarlata b Black Mamba, Gran Apache, Mini Histeria
Pimpinela beat Mamba.
2) Espíritu & Scoria b Axel & Fénix and Pentagón Jr. & Último Gladiador
Scoria wrestled, despite having a shoulder injury. Pentagon and Gladiador attacked him early, causing Scoria to be taken to the back for medical help. Espiritu still won when Cuervo distracted the referee and Ozz slipped into drop Axel with an Ozz driver.
3) Angélico, Australian Suicide, Jack Evans b Carta Brava Jr., Eterno, Steve Pain
Australian Suicide is the surprise gringo, as usual. Tecnicos gave Carta a crucifix powerbomb, 630 senton, and a twisting shooting star press for the win.
4) Chessman, Silver King, Texano Jr. b Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown
Texano defeated Psycho Clown after pulling his mask. Both men bleed. Texano said he would trick his way to a win at Heroes Inmortales. Psycho disagreed.
5) Cuervo & Ozz b Cibernético & El Mesías and el Hijo del Perro Aguayo & Psicosis
Cuervo & Ozz pulled the upset when Espiritu ran in to help. The AAA & Perro teams ran the Secta off post match
Air Date: 10/12? Looks like Plan Sexenal will be air a second week this weekend and a Wednesday taping is a stretch to turn around by Saturday.
This show was listed on the poster as an 8:30 start, but appeared to start around 9:30 pm local, and then was done by 11:15 pm for an under 2 hour show. It may have just been internet issues making it look shorter than it was.
La Secta got big wins! At the weirdest time, since it can’t really be followed up soon. The Scoria & Espiritu win is weird because they already put out the lineup with Pentagon & Ultimo Gladiador making the final (though this could be a little bit to prove that wasn’t real.) It’s also weird because Scoria already lost in this secret tag team tournament, losing with Cuervo back in Toluca (but I guess there are no rules in secret tag team tournaments.) It’s mostly weird because Scoria’s arm is legitimately messed up, so bad that they didn’t even have him participate in the run-in at the end of the show, and it seems unlikely he’s going to be feeling better in two weeks. (Or one week when he’s in an atomicos.) Maybe they’ll just sub Ozz or Cuervo on. Whatever they do, this means La Secta will be on Heroes Inmortales (instead of working a spot show in the middle of nowhere) and will probably be interfering in other matches. They stand a good shot at winning the tag team titles too.
I would guess the idea in the semimain is AAA doesn’t want Texano losing for four months straight to build up the title match, but Psycho Clown taking a loss on the last TV before the title match is peculiar way to build up that title match, even with the cheating. There are other people in these matches, they can probably lose.
Next taping is a week from today in Tlahuelilpan, an annual show as part of a fair.
