Atlantis, Diamante Azul, Rush vs Euforia, Shinsuke Nakamura, Último Guerrero:Fun build up to next week’s singles match. Rush and Nakamura were good together while everyone else did their usual bit. Rush’s dropkick on Nakamura was killer. Atlantis vs Ultimo Guerrero is still a thing that is happening (but the crowd is very interested in.)
Negro Casas vs Máscara Dorada for the NWA World Welterweight Championship:Excellent match, with the best of both men. They made something out of the mat work in the opening fall, and then they pulled out complicated and creative spots in the last couple. All the finishes were really good. Of all the complicated stuff they tried, only one really went bad and even then it made the match better by how quickly Dorada was able to shut the crowd up with a spectacular dive. I would put Nakamura/Sombra ahead of this because of the crowd – the fans were really anti-Dorada (for not being Negro Casas), and it didn’t hurt this match as the superb reaction for the other one helped. This has so many cool spots, it’s not far behind.
Fantasy vs Aéreo, Eléctrico, Demus 3:16, Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Warrior, Pequeño Violencia, Bam Bam, Shockercito, Mercurio in a cage match:A lucha libre cage match! I disliked it more the second time because it became more obvious there was very little to the escape portion of the match. The Violencia/Shockercito end portion was okay but nothing to remember. I’m not even sure what the point of these cage matches are now, because it’s not like they draw anything more than the singles match at the end would do, and there have been enough ‘disappointing’ results that few are fooled into thinking a meaningful name will lose one of these.
