CMLL on Fox Sports (Mexico): 2013-05-25

recap

taped 2013-05-17 @ Arena Mexico

friendship double elbow

Delta, Rey Cometa, Sagrado vs Kráneo, Namajague, Olímpico: An okay match with the usual guys. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing to stand out between the similar ones. Cometa did not do the Brillo Tornillo this week, which is fine given how close he came to missing it. I wish we got to see more of Darth Vader & Yoda’s entrance.

Sagrado, anti dancing

Rush, Super Porky, Thunder vs Averno, Mephisto, Volador Jr.: Poor. The técnico trio really made miss Bufete del Amor. Thunder’s not any good, and Porky has no business being allowed to being in wrestling matches at this point. Rush was fine, but there’s better matches for him and everyone else in this match.

  1. So CMLL Mini Extravaganza has been moved out of its regular timeslot on FIGHT NETWORK Canada, it no longer follows RAW, and has been moved to Monday night/morning 2-3am EST. Needless to say I didn’t stay up to watch it, it is also been moved out of its Sunday Morning repeat time slot, and has been replaced by Fighting Spirit CMLL/NJPW. I’m assuming then that the original run of episodes for the Mini show is over, as the last few weeks were repeats mainly with one or two shows that I hadn’t seen or taped yet, this coupled with a worse timeslot…

So, I did watch Fighting Spirit CMLL/NJPW show which had a lucha lightning match in the middle of the hr which was:

    2010-11-19 Arena Mexico 4 of 6: Rush b Pólvora [lightning] *

  2. @Chris: Rush and Polvora have come a long way from that match.

Well, Rush has come a long way. Polvora has come some ways.
