Aerostar craziness

Aerostar, Argenis, Súper Fly vs Bugambilia, Mamba, Pasion Kristal: Fine match for the time. Everyone got in their spots, some people (Kristal) did some insane things, and nothing much went wrong. I could’ve used more Aerostar and more sense of the técnicos actually being a team, but this was a perfectly acceptable TV match. The winner was seemingly random but that’s how it goes.

bad times for Pasion Kristal

Argenis vs Texano Jr. for the AAA World Heavyweight Championship: Argenis seemed nervous, which I guess makes sense if he was challenging for the heavyweight title, but the second change didn’t do anything for him.

Fénix, Heavy Metal, La Parka vs Chessman, Parka Negra, Pentagón Jr.: Heavy Metal wins because his midget friend distracts Chessman long enough for Metal to get in a punch. I’m totally convinced he’s the #1 contender. Metal was good for Metal (which means he appeared to know he was in a wrestling match) and was perfectly okay by everyone’s standards, but could’ve been helped by a more convincing finish. I guess Chessman had to be protected, but Pentagon and Parka Negra were right there too. The match itself was the usual AAA bit of turning 11 minute matches in to 20 minute ones with a lot of stalling and filler.

maybe one more flip than Fenix watned

Cibernético & El Mesías vs el Hijo del Perro Aguayo & Texano Jr.: Kind of weird Texano has been pinned by two people – Mesías and Blue Demon – and neither is getting a title shot out of it. Texano just lost because he’s Texano. This was an okay brawl but very usual. The Cibernético/Perro Jr. match should still do great because of who they are, but it doesn’t feel especially hot right now.
