Mongol Chino Jr. replaced Pirata Morgan and faked a foul.
7) Delta, Diluvio Negro II, Rey Bucanero DQ Euforia, Mr. Niebla, Último Guerrero
Delta & Mr. Niebla replaced Atlantida, and Diluvio Negro II added to make it a trios. Vaquero Romo attacked Diluvio Negro, to build up their hair match next Sunday in this building.
8) Cibernético, El Elegido, LA Park b Hator, Parka Negra, Psicosis I
Surprise “Perros del Mal” member was Hator. Members of LUM helped out the rudos, but Latin Lover ran in to help the tecnicos interference.

LuchaMania Monterrey says the building was 95% full. A Televisa Monterrey report (blocked in the US) on the show says the crowd was 6,500 people. Emma Huevo and Latin Lover (who says he’s retired from lucha libre) were selling photographs to raise money. Retired Monterrey wrestler Bronco led the crowd in a prayer in the early show. LuchaMania also has an interview Hijo del Ninja about his participation on the show.

Hector Garza did not appear on the show; it was said the show was taped so he could see it and see how many people were supporting him. Again, he has not been seen since his illness was announced and people are saying he is not doing well.

CMLL (MON) 04/22/2013 Arena Puebla [El Popular]
1) Black Tiger & Dinámikoo b Centauro de Fuego & Fuerza Chicana
Black Tiger beat Fuerza Chicana
2) Espiritu Maligno, Inquisidor, Taurus b Asturiano, Bengala, Leono
All the rudos beat all the tecnicos in the third.
3) Hooligan, Nitro, Nosferatu b Pegasso, Stigma, Super Halcón Jr.

5) Blue Panther, Diamante Azul, Rush b Felino, Terrible, Volador Jr.
Rush & Azul beat Felino & Terrible.
6) La Sombra b Dragón Rojo Jr.
Third recent singles match between them, this one non-title and said to be over 20 minutes. Dragon Rojo jumped Sombra and took the first fall. Sombra was dominant in the escond. Third fall was long, with Sombra coming up on top.

AAA has a brief article on Texano keeping the Mega title over Mesias on the WWL show this past Sunday. There’s no mention of Texano cheating to win. Article mentions Blue Demon, Axel and Octagon Jr. working the show, so Octagon Jr. still exists in AAA.

Marco Corleone out that he’d be out a few weeks due to knee injuries suffered in his car accident. He says he’s hoping he just rest for two weeks and be fine, but he’s going in for a MRI today to find out if it needs more than that. (Hope it doesn’t.) He’s only listed on tonight’s card for upcoming CMLL shows, but this would seem to mean he’s missing the remaining Lucha Libre USA shows.

CMLL’s already quietly announced Shocker will be in for Diamante Azul tonight. That preview also has Oro Jr. & Apocalipsis in place of Robin & Cholo in the opener (net positive), and Lady Afrodita replacing Silueta in the women’s match (not positive.)

Rey Escorpion: “I’ve always believed in Bobby Zavala.” Both Escorpion and Zavala are confident going into this Friday’s Gran Alternativa final against Hombre Bala & Atlantis, and Escorpion suggests Zavala might be added to the Revolucionaros del Terror.

LuchaMania Monterrey has details on the Konnan Big vs Dr. Wagner Jr. encounter. This match was more a straight tag match, instead of the usual ‘everyone and Vudu all get involved’ Konnan Big match. Konnan fouled Wagner, ref noticed but didn’t do anything, Wagner fouled Konnan back and got the win. The next Llaves y Canadados branded show will be in a month.

La Parka & Super Fly won the main event three way tag match on the IWL show this past Saturday. Perico kept the IWL Internet championship over Ninja de Fuego. I count 55 luchadors on the show.

The semifinal matches for Trofeo Angel Blanco will be Saruman & Rayman (Team Man?) vs Imposible & Dinamic Black and Pirata Morgan & Fuerza Guerrera vs Angel Blanco & Cien Caras, and the winning teams facing off on the same show.

R de Rudo has an interview with LA Park about hunting down Dr. Wagner Jr. Park suggest the mask match happen in 100,000 seat Estadio Azteca, which clearly is not the right arena for this match. The only place big enough is Jupiter and I’m sure that’s where it’ll happen. Those two will meet in LA next month.

Rob has highlights 0f 08/31/12 CMLL, 07/29/05 AAA, and 04/22/06 AAA.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update.

Lineup

CMLL (SUN) 04/28/2013 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
***Kids Day Show***
1) Idolo & Virgo vs Demonio Maya & Espectrum
2) Sky Kid & Smaker vs Mr. Trueno & Rey Trueno
3) Ángel de Oro, Gallo, Stuka Jr. vs Maléfico, Namajague, Ráfaga
4) Leo vs Sangre Azteca [OCCIDENTE WELTER]
Leo is champion. Second known defense
5) Rey Cometa vs Bárbaro Cavernario [super libre]
6) Azteca de Oro & El Hippie vs Acertijo & Sádico [mask, hair]

All kids under 10 get in for $5. This would be Rey Cometa’s first appearance post hair match (and it strangely makes me believe he’s not losing his hair match.) I have no idea who’s winning the main event. Sangre Azteca is not winning, that one always seems a safe bet.

CMLL (SUN) 04/28/2013 Arena Mexico
***Kids Day Show***
1) Pequeño Halcón, Shockercito, Stukita vs Pequeño Nitro, Pequeño Violencia, Pequeño Warrior
2) Fuego, Pegasso, Tritón vs Cancerbero, Raziel, Virus
3) Estrellita vs Amapola [lightning]
4) Guerrero Maya Jr., Máscara Dorada, Super Porky vs Mr. Águila, Puma, Tiger
5) Diamante Azul, Rush, Shocker vs Euforia, Negro Casas, Niebla Roja
6) Mistico vs Volador Jr.

Back to back main singles main events for Mistico. For no good reason, I don’t think he’s winning bot of them.

Aguila & Shocker on the same show and not in the same match. Fourth match would be great with a little less Super Porky.

  1. That Sunday lineup is the epitome of what frustrates me most about CMLL. The potential for greatness ruined by people in charge who are traditionalists and generally lazy.

    It’s very simple.

You put Porky/Aguila in the semi-main. Make it an atomicos matches. Shocker/Aguila get to continue their feud.

You leave Dorada/Maya to do a tag match vs Puma/Tiger.

Nobody loses bookings. Fans get to see a match that has the potential to be GREAT or at worst GOOD. Instead we’ll end up getting a quick Super Porky comedy match with Dorada/Maya getting maybe 2 minutes of ring time each.

    Why?

    CMLL doesn’t do atomicos matches.

Cards are randomly generated based on who was booked for a show 2 weeks in advance and the only format used are trios matches.

FUCK YOU ANNOY THE SHIT OUT OF ME CMLL.
