(The CHILANGAMASK show will turn up in it’s own post. Not going to be a big thing, just haven’t done it yet.)
CMLL (SUN) 04/21/2013 Arena Mexico [@therealfredo, CMLL, genickbruch.com]
1) Camorra & Zayco b Magnus & Oro Jr.
Rudos took 2/3. Oro Jr. is calling his stand on the back armbar “La Dorada”.
2) Diamante, Starman, Stigma b Arkángel de la Muerte, Nitro, Skándalo
Tecnicos took 2/3, Stigma & Starman submitting Skandalo & Arkangel.
3) Fuego, Metálico, Tritón b Puma, Shigeo Okumura, Virus
Tecnicos took 1/3. Triton beat Puma & Fuego submitted Okumura.
4) Valiente b Pólvora [lightning]
Good match. Polvora set up as if to give Valiente a martiente, ref shoved them over, Valiente ended up in position for the Valiente Buster and that was enough for a three in 7:41.
5) Hijo del Fantasma, Rush, Shocker b Dragón Rojo Jr., Ephesto, Mephisto
Tecnicos took 2/3. Shocker cradled Dragon Rojo. Rush back suplexed and double stomped Mephisto, then sat down on him for the win.
6) Negro Casas, Niebla Roja, Volador Jr. b Atlantis, Blue Panther, Mistico
Rudos took 1/3. Volador escaped La Mistico, distracted the referee, pulled Mistico’s mask and rolled him up for the win. Lots of talk for a singles match next week.
Announcers were billing next week as double Kid’s Day shows, with celebrations a part of both next Sunday and next Tuesday’s events.
CMLL (SUN) 04/21/2013 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [@acogdl]
1) Brillante ?? Thunder Boy
No finish mentioned (or participants confirmed.)
2) Exterminador & Infierno b Halcón de Plata & Virgo
3) Azteca de Oro, Black Metal, El Hippie b Acertijo, Demonio Rojo, Sádico [super libre]
Rudos took the first, were DQed for excessive violence on El Hippie in the second, then Sadico pinned Hippie in the third. Apuesta match coming up next week.
4) Olímpico b León Blanco [OCCIDENTE HEAVY]
Seconds were Black Metal (Leon Blanco) and Exterminador (Olimpico.) Olimpicio took falls 2/3 to keep the title in his first defense.
5) Bárbaro Cavernario, Kráneo, Namajague b Ángel de Oro, Rey Cometa, Super Porky
Rudos took 1/3, with Barbaro surprisingly beating Rey Comenta (and Kraneo doing the same to Oro.) This sets up a Cometa vs Barbaro match next week.
Next Sunday is a Fan Appreciation show here as well, with Hippie & Azteca de Oro vs Sadico & Acertio in a double apuesta match, as well as that Barbaro Cavernario vs Rey Cometa match (which may affect your predictions for Friday, or not.)
On today’s Super Libre radio show out of Guadalajara, Titan revealed he’d be returning this upcoming Tuesday as a replacement for Angel de Oro on the Guadalajara show. That means he’ll be back three days before CMLL gives his title to someone else. Titan does mention Mistico vs Averno will be a good match and he’d like to face Averno to get his title back.
CMLL has Rey Cometa hyping next Friday’s card.
LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update. Among the many lineups in KrisZ’s recent updates, there’s one where Lluvia is scheduled to work a trios match in May. She hasn’t been seen since undergoing knee surgery in September.
Rob has highlights of early November 2002 CMLL, AAA 08/15/08, AAA 08/17/08, CMLL 08/24/12 and AAA 03/03/12
Bill has highlights of IWRG 03/08/12.
Mistico & Aereo (Juarez) defeated Euforia & Black Demon on Saturday. Link includes video of the main event.
Estrellas del Ring has an report of the Expo Mascaras show the CMLL luchadors ran in on. Add Metalico to Arkangel, Rey Bucanero, Fuego and Valiente; they seemed to set up a 10 man tag for the next show.
The Gladiatores interviews Fulgor.
Lucha Libre in Puerto Rico
WWL 04/21: Somehow, they managed to get AAA, CMLL and TxT wrestlers on the same show. Turnout seemed low for this size building and the costly lineup. A more expensive version of the Ray Mendoza retirement show.
2) La Real Fuerza Aerea (de Nuevo Laredo – Laredo Kid, Hombre sin Miedo, Stelaris) b Lince Dorado, Noriega, Hammet
Mr. 450 did not do a 450. Team Laredo looked good and worked as the rudos, though the announcers couldn’t identify them at all. Hombre Sin Miedo cut his hand or arm on a dive, bled quite a bit, and was taken to the hospital – Stelaris might have gone with him as he also wasn’t in the battle royal later. Noriega took out Hammet by mistake on a dive, Mexicans beat Lince
4) Sicodelico Jr. b Hijo de Rey Misterio II, Octagon Jr., Axel
One fall match, and a much too quick one (but it was a long night.) Sicodelcio wasn’t advertised as far as I had seen. Octagon Jr. wore under that name, but suffered his first direct loss under that name via Sicodelico Jr. powerbomb.
6) Pierrothito b Mini Chupacabra
Disappointing match; Chupacabra did not have a good outing. Chupacabra is believed to be the original Octagoncito, who couldn’t be using that name on a show with AAA participation .
11) Blue Demon Jr. b Oliver John [PWR HEAVY]
Demon won the championship in a good match, then went on Twitter to say he had torn a ligament. No one knows what ligament or how bad, very vague.
14) Texano Jr. b Mesias [AAA HEAVY]
Best match on the show, better than the Guerra de Titanes match, and crowd seemed into it (though crowd micing was an issue all night.) Texano dropkicked the ref by mistake, Mesias dropped Texano, landed the big splash and counted his own pin, but the ref was down. Mesias woke the ref, but turned in a foul and a behind the back powerbomb finished him. Fourth defense for Texano.
Dorian Roldan was at the show and mentioned on the show, but never shown on camera. Show was exceptionally long (and late starting), which gives more credit to Texano & Mesias for getting a reaction from the people who stuck all the way to the ned.
Lineups
CHILANGAMASK (SUN) 05/19/2013 Coliseo Coacalco
1) Astro Rey Jr. & Belial vs ? & ???
2) Silueta vs Chik Tormenta
3) Valiente & Virus vs Trauma I & Trauma II
4) Rush vs Masada [super libre]
5) Black Terry vs Arkángel de la Muerte
6) Negro Casas vs Negro Navarro
There’s still more to be announced, but this card is already awesome. Any of the top 4 matches would be a great main event on it’s own, and there’s four of them. The other matches could be good too!
