TxT, Sombra/Dragon, Guadalajara, WWE back to Mexico?

TxT (SAT) 03/23/2013 Gimnasio Juan de la Barrera [Black Terry Jr. (photos)Estrellas del RingThe Gladiatores]
1) Mascarita Sagrada & Tzuki b Lobito & Octagoncito (original)
Octagoncito replaced Rockerito. Tzuki did wrestle. Straight falls.
2) Dinamic Black & Saruman b Alan Extreme & Imposible
Money thrown in, best fight of the night.
3) Angel Blanco Jr. b Rayman [WWA WELTER]
Angel Blanco Jr. kept his title, believed to be third defense.
4) Dr. Wagner Jr. & El Hijo del Solitario DQ Derek Sanders & Shaun Ricker
Moved to the semimain. DQ not specified, appears to be a foul on Wagner.
5) El Hijo Del Santo b Oliver John [CMB LUCHA]
One fall match. Hijo del Santo came in as champion. Santo was seconded by Rayman. Both of Border Patrol wanted to be seconds, but Ricker was sent to the back. Santo won with a small package. Rudos tried to unmask the Santo, but Wagner & Rayman made the save. First defense.

Building looks about half full, but they turned off the lights this time to make it harder to tell. If only someone told that trick to Villano V. No particular match seems to be set up for next time, unless they’re really doing the Mexicans versus the foreigners.

CMLL (SUN) 03/24/2013 Arena Coliseo [CMLL]
1) Oro Jr. & Robin b Espanto Jr. & Ramstein
Tecnicos take 1/3. Oro Jr. looked good.
2) Arkángel de la Muerte, Hijo del Signo, Skándalo b Hombre Bala Jr., Stigma, Super Halcón Jr.
Rudos took falls 1/3, Signo splashing Hombre Bala Jr.
3) Ephesto, Olímpico, Virus b Delta, Fuego, Guerrero Maya Jr.
Straight falls. Rudos won the first fall in a usual way, then the second fall ended in less than a minute with a Virus middle rope elbow drop on Guerrero Maya. Maya didn’t seem to be injured on the move, but the finish made no sense unless he could continue. Very confusing.
4) Máscara Dorada b Mephisto [lightning]
Mascara Dorada survived the middle rope Devil’s Wings and beat Mephisto with his springboard flip sunset flip (which desperately needs a name) in 7:42.
5) Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora, Tiger b La Sombra, Shocker, Valiente
Tecnicos took 2/3, Sombra reversing the Dragon Bomb into a ‘rana for the win. Sombra challenged Rojo to a middleweight title vs middleweight title match, but Dragon Rojo refused.
6) Rey Bucanero, Terrible, Volador Jr. b Atlantis, Marco Corleone, Máximo
Rey Bucanero’s return from injury (though he scheduled it earlier in the day.) Rudos took 2/3, after Comandante kissed Maximo into a Bucanero pin and Volador beat Atlantis. A fan interrupted the post match interview to run up and hug Bucanero. Volador claimed he wants to be in the Atlantis vs Ultimo Guerrero mask match.

CMLL (SUN) 03/24/2013 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara [@acogdl]
1) In Memoriam b Índigo
2) Halcón de Plata, Metatrón, Sky Kid b Espectrum, Exterminador, Magnum
Tecnicos took 2/3.
3) Azteca de Oro, Black Metal, El Hippie b Acertijo, Demonio Rojo, Sádico
Tecnicos took 2/3, when Sadico faked a foul and Hippie just covered him before the referee figured it out. Those two continue to feud.
4) Rey Cometa DQ Shigeo Okumura
Tecnicos took 2/3, Okumura snuck in a foul on Cometa.
5) Euforia & Último Guerrero b Diamante Azul & La Máscara
Diamante Azul replaced Rush. Rudos took falls 2/3, winning with a combo move.

Alberto del Rio, who previously told people WWE had no plans to come to Mexico any time soon, now says they’ll be back in Monterrey, Guadalajara and Mexico City in September. If that happens, CMLL wouldn’t be to thrilled, but they should be fine regardless. Hope they have Alberto cut out the “Hecho en E.E.U.U.!” promos before he comes back to Mexico.

Titan told the SuperLibre show that he expects to be out 3-4 weeks. Later, on the Terra broadcast, JCR said Titan would be out months. I tend to believe Titan.

A DTU post teases a change in image for Tribal. Tribal’s been wrestling more as the unmasked Jinzo the last few months, including on this week’s AAA Fusion show.

Astro de Plata talks about his injury and his rehabilitation. There’s a mention of shows which have been said to benefit him which haven’t worked out that way, but I didn’t catch which ones he meant.

LuchaWorld has KrisZ’s news update, including a listing of the first Fusion title defense.

Bill has highlights of IWRG 02/09/12.

Rob has highlights of AAA Verano de Escandalo 2004 and 07/20/12 CMLL.

Lucha Libre In Japan

NJPW announced Terrible & Tama Tonga would defend the CMLL Tag Team belts against La Mascara & Valiente on April 7th. This is a rematch of Terrible & Tonga’s sole title defense so far, which was all the match where Terrible showed up a couple minutes late. Hopefully it goes smoother this time. I’d expect Terrible & Tonga to keep the titles. Still no mention of Namajague coming back to NJPW any time soon, so the rumor about him being back in March appears false and he should be considered to be sticking around until we hear otherwise.

REINA announced CMLL luchadoras would return to their promotion on June 29 & 30. Tiffany, Marcela, Goya Kong and Silueta are listed. There’s a name I can’t decipher – maybe Esterllita? Goya is fighting a Nazi of some sort, and Marcela will defend the CMLL women’s championship on 06/30 should she still be champion.

Lineups

CMLL (SUN) 03/31/2013 Arena Coliseo
1) Bengala & Leono vs Apocalipsis & Inquisidor
2) Metálico, Sensei, Soberano Jr. vs Hijo del Signo, Hooligan, Nosferatu
3) Dalis la Caribeña, Estrellita, Luna Mágica vs Amapola, La Comandante, Tiffany
4) Hijo del Fantasma vs Tiger [lightning]
5) Blue Panther, La Sombra, Super Porky vs Averno, Dragón Rojo Jr., Pólvora
6) Diamante Azul, Mistico, Valiente vs Euforia, Niebla Roja, Volador Jr.

Four matches for the Arena Coliseo Anniversary show doesn’t quite make sense, even with a cibernetico. Figure on Sombra/Dragon Rojo happening after all.

CMLL (SUN) 03/31/2013 Arena Coliseo Guadalajara
1) Brillante vs El Piraña
2) Virgo vs Rey Trueno
3) Smaker vs Exterminador
4) Azteca de Oro, Black Metal, El Hippie, Leo, Sky Kid vs Acertijo, Demonio Rojo, Évola, In Memoriam, Sádico [cibernetico]
5) Atlantis, Delta, Máscara Dorada vs Felino, Negro Casas, Rey Bucanero

Weird arrangement.
