CMLL on CadenaTres: 2013-02-16

recap

taped 2013-02-12 @ Arena Mexico

watch Bam Bam

Acero, Bam Bam, Fantasy vs Pequeño Olímpico, Pequeño Universo 2000, Pequeño Warrior: sleepy match, so much that I think I almost did fall asleep thru it. Some moments of guys not being on the page, though nothing dramatically bad. Slightly lesser version of the usual with a big spot at the finish.

Pequeno Warrior avenges the front row

Diamante, Rey Cometa, Sagrado vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Skándalo, Vangelis: I can’t believe Vangelis, going for a leg lock he never ever uses successfully, backfired on him. It’s at this point in the show where I’m at least partially unsure if the matches are fine and I’m just tired of CMLL or tired in general, or if this is a dead show and I’m grading fairly. This sure felt like a tired rote match, with a couple good moments but very skippable.

poor Sagrado

Fuego, Marco Corleone, Máximo vs Rey Escorpión, Terrible, Tiger: Fuego and Rey Escorpion worked well together. The other four guys did the match they’ve done about 100 times in the last year. It was well done and wears better on those who haven’t seen it all 100 times. It was definitely a different match with out Rush.

Fuego armdrag & tope

Felino, Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas vs Blue Panther, Máscara Dorada, Shocker: Negro Casas & Blue Panther battle with everything else in the background. It was their usual battle, hitting each other intensely and not feeling it shortly after. Mascara Dorada doesn’t really fit in with this group but Felino and Niebla were good stooges for him at parts. Shocker was the only one who seemed into the Shocker/Niebla feud.

  1. “or if this is a dead show and I’m grading fairly.”

    My pick.

Bam Bam was an angry man. He flipped everyone in that section off after his superkick on Pequeno Olimpico too.
