Ángel de Oro vs Negro Casas in a lightning match: oddly cut together, leaving a lot of the early mat stuff but reducing the second half of the match to just the usual spots. Angel de Oro doing the same spots Angel de Oro does in every match didn’t make him look impressive, it made him seem limited. The stuff that made him seem more interesting was the early portion, maybe that’s why they left in. Still, not even close to their title matches, this was just Negro Casas versus generic CMLL técnico.

Diamante, Rey Cometa, Sagrado vs Puma, Sangre Azteca, Vangelis: A fine midcard trios matches. Cometa and Puma were good together and the focus here, but not to a great degree. A lot of stuff happened at the finish, and very little of it seemed to actually matter. Maybe just neat ideas for a bigger match.
Atlantis, Shocker, Titán vs Averno, Dragón Rojo Jr., Rey Escorpión: Okay main event match. The Atlantis/Averno stuff was good, though it was odd for them to so totally ignore the Titan/Averno stuff from the previous week. I can’t shake the belief that in a year from now, we’ll see footage from these weeks and be surprised to see Escorpion & Dragon in somberos all the time. I’m not sure this look will stick.
