taped 2012-10-30 @ Arena Mexico
Freesbe & Oro Jr. vs Akuma & Camorra: Okay for an opener. The Gen11 guys are still obviously raw and need more experience, but Akuma and more so Oro Jr. looked like they had actual promise here. Oro Jr. already has more charisma then the Oro II, and never fell on his head.
Camaleón, Pegasso, Sensei vs Artillero, Hooligan, Súper Comando: Competent segunda. Everyone did fine, not a lot to talk about. Camaleón fit in well here and probably should get a chance to move up. Super Comando & Artillero remain good.
Fuego, Sagrado, Triton vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Cancerbero, Raziel: Amusing for what it was; they went back to the story of the Cancerberos and the Tuareg (or at least Arkangel; Hooligan seems to be cool) not getting along and played it well thru the match. It’s okay to have a different match and this was definitely different.
Diamante Azul, Mistico, Stuka Jr. vs Euforia, Niebla Roja, Último Guerrero: An okay match with all three falls. Stuka’s involvement here seems like a Hat decision and not any particular plan; they didn’t even have him work specifically with Niebla Roja or anything. If this match was about anything, it was about the new Guerreros getting a win as a unit while still protecting Místico.
Black Warrior, Mr. Águila, Volador Jr. vs Atlantis, Delta, Guerrero Maya Jr. for the Mexican National Trios Championship: Again – no Mije with Volador, Volador loses, he really needs to keep Mije around more. This was a good match, just not as epic as the previous Reyes del Atlantida title matches. It felt like it there were still five minutes stronger in it, and the teams never felt like teams but just guys taking turns. Black Warrior and Guerrero Maya matched up well against each other and came off as the stars of the match. I appreciated Atlantis and Volador doing a few spots before the finish, so the Atlantida bit was a bit more of surprise then usual.
