taped 2012-10-21 @ Arena Coliseo
Rey Cometa, Sagrado, Triton vs Hijo del Signo, Misterioso Jr., Vangelis: fine short midcard trios match that didn’t show anything. No one looked bad, no one did anything I found noteworthy enough to put here. Rudo dominated portion, where they were limited to being in one at a time and didn’t come up with much to do.
Bam Bam vs Pequeño Olímpico in a lightning match: the announcers seemed to be selling this as ‘look how dangerous lucha libre is!’, but I don’t need to see a guy fall on his head three times to know that. Anything, up to including 3 minutes of the edecanes dancing, would’ve been better than this.
Blue Panther, Marco Corleone, Super Porky vs Felino, Pólvora, Tiger: a técnico showcase that was fun for the fans there but isn’t as appealing when you see these guys twice a week every week. Perfectly fine for the crowd they were working for but skippable here.
Atlantis, Diamante Azul, Rush vs Tama Tonga, Terrible, Volador Jr.: best match of the show. The Terrible/Rush exchanges were strong, Tonga fit in well, and Volador & Atlantis were their usual selfs. Nothing extraordinary, but good.
