tag title match tonight, IWRG FILL, Mistico, QPPLC, Mr. Niebla

Tonight’s Arena Mexico show has Terrible & Tama Tonga challenging Diamante Azul & Atlantis for the CMLL Tag Team championship. In recent days, we’ve seen champions lose their belts early in their reigns, shocking title changes, and Tama Tonga outsmarting Diamante Azul at every turn. On the other hand, Atlantis seems to win the big matches at Arena Mexico (and a title change wouldn’t make much sense here.)

IWRG has a FILL show tonight. This may be taped for TVC Deportes; no Thursday show this week due to the AAA taping, but TVC Deportes is running a week behind. They could also save it for the holiday break. Main event cibernetico features Fuerza Guerrera’s students.

Today is the 7th anniversary of Eddie Guerrero’s death.

Mistico suffered another accident in Arena Puebla last night, again slipping on the ropes there and falling badly. Mephisto won their singles main event. Last time Mistico was hurt in Puebla, we feaared the worse and he was wrestling two days later. He’s scheduled for Friday’s show right now.

AAA’s announced the results of their QPPLC Guadalajara stop. Finalsts were Estrella Explosiva, Last Lion, Luxor, Mercurio Jr., Reggae Boy, and Saturno. Saturno, a mini, is the biggest name; he’s the son of Gran Cochisse who wrestled in Arena Coliseo Guadalajara from 2009 to 2010 and made a couple appearances in Mexico City, but left CMLL after his father lost his training job. Estrella Explosiva is a GDL female wrestler who’s been wrestling indies and has turned in Monterrey a bit as of late. Last Lion, Luxor, Mercurio Jr., and Reggae Boy are all from Arena Roberto Paz, though there’s a couple Mercurio Juniors running around. The QPPLC Twitter also mentioned a Príncipe Escorpión as advancing, who’s from the same arena.

Guadalajara was the last qualifying tryout. The final will take place on December 8th in Mexico City.

Rob has highlights of 10/23/12 CMLL.
