CMLL (SUN) 10/21/2012 Arena Coliseo
1) Inquisidor & Zayco b Bengala & Leono
Rudos took 1/3. Zayclone on Leono, Cavernaria on Bengali in the third.
2) Cancerbero, Hooligan, Raziel b Pegasso, Sensei, Super Halcon Jr.
Super Halcon Jr. replaced Angel Azteca, gone once again. Rudos took 2/3.
3) Pequeño Olímpico COR Bam Bam [lightning]
Match was just three minutes old when Bam Bam, standing on the top rope and untouched, slipped and fell out of the ring. He landed head/shoulders on the apron and hard their to the floor. Olimpico followed with elbow job, but they waved him off and counted Bam Bam out fast, then strechered him to the back. Announcers later reported Bam Bam was OK.
4) Hijo del Signo, Misterioso Jr., Vangelis b Rey Cometa, Sagrado, Triton
Rudos took falls 1/3. The first included Vangeils pinning Triton with a Buca Storm, and Signo reversing a Rey Cometa ‘rana which caused them to both roll over Triton’s body. The last saw Misterioso survive a Sagrado springboard moonsault and finish Sagrado with a Gori Driver.
5) Blue Panther, Marco Corleone, Máscara Dorada Super PorkyFelino, Pólvora, Tiger
Super Porky was originally announced, but replaced on Tuesday by Blue Panther, then replaced Mascara Dorada. Tecnicos took the first with a splash, rudos the second, and Panther submitted Felino in the third. Felino’s partners were annoyed with them.
6) Tama Tonga, Terrible, Volador Jr. b Atlantis, Diamante Azul, Rush
Rush replaced Blue Panther, who moved to the semimain. Rudos took 1/3. Tonga both fouled Azul and pulled his mask to set up the winning pinfall. Volador, who participated only briefly in the first two falls, made sure to pose with Tonga after the match.

The announcers were hyping 11/02 as an Arena Mexico show. The finish points to Diamante Azul vs Tama Tonga, but Azul & Volador challenging Atlantis & Azul for the tag titles also works.

There’s video of the Bam Bam vs Pequeno Olimpico match. The fall is a bit after 4:20. Bam Bam missed his footing and that was it. The last guy to have some similar happen was Nosferatu, and it took other people leaving/getting hurt (and maybe his father being a local promoter) for Nosferatu to make it back.

AAA’s taping was more notable for injuries than results. Ricky Marvin & Super Crazy kept NOAH’s GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship over the Perros del Mal duo of Halloween and Daga. Halloween was said to have suffered three broken ribs in the match. Super Fly’s return ended badly, suffering a neck sprain on a dive in a loss. The main event saw the (former? current?) Maniacos w/Trolli defeat Vampiro, Fenix and Mesias. It’s possible Chessman might haev actually beaten Vampiro! Al Snow & Bruce Pritchard of TNA were at the show, scouting AAA wrestlers to be used in their promotion. Attendance for the show looks surprisingly weak in the small bits of the crowd we can see from the pictures, but we might as well wait for more pictures to turn out to delve into it.

In more AAA injury news, Teddy Hart missed today’s show in Monterrey due to a fracture. Nicho replaced him, but we don’t know what body part Teddy actually hurt or how long he’ll be out.

Hijo del Fantasma’s team defeated Dragon Rojo’s team in Guadalajara, setting up the expected title match next Sunday. It’s unclear which of Dragon Rojo’s middle titles would be on the line; he has to get past Valiente tomorrow to keep the CMLL one. Maximo, who was worried he tore his ACL earlier this week, wrestled here without any note of being hampered.

Hijo del Pirata Morgan won both a #1 contenders match over Mascara Ano 2000 Jr., and also an immediate title match vs Factor for the IWRG Junior title tonight in Naucalpan. I’m surprised they did both matches at the same time, but I’m surprised every time this happens. We may never know who Factor’s dad is.

After unmasking the rudos, Dragon Rojo and Rey Escorpion claimed the only ones at Otra Nivel are themselves; the students have surpassed the teacher. Rojo also pointed out his first trainer in CMLL was Satanico, Ultimo Guerrero betrayed Satanico back in the day, so he’s avenging his original mentor. Dragon & Escorpion suggested Satanico might appear in their corner at some point. They both said Euforia & Ultimo Guerrero would be on their knees kissing their boots, and “Who is Niebla Roja? Where did he come from?”

Rob has a crazy Mascara Dorada spot.

10/21 NJPW: TAKA Michinoku & Taichi [O] b Negro Casas & BUSHI [X]
Taichi & TAKA turned around BUSHI’s mask, fouled him, pinned him, then took the mask and mocked him. BOOO.
