Bengala, Molotov, Tigre Blanco vs Artillero, Inquisidor, Súper Comando: okay enough match that I won’t remember by the time you read this recap. Everyone did their spots well, there just wasn’t much to do them. Super Comando and Artillero did their usual swell job on their finish but really not much interesting as a team besides.
Gallo, Hombre Bala Jr., Super Halcon Jr. vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Hooligan, Skándalo : a match five minutes longer than it needed to be, if it needed to be at all. Hooligan & Gallo was fine enough, though Gallo just came across as another guy. The other four did not work well together, with Bala & Halcón having one of their lesser DF appearances in a few months. Not sure if Arkangel just didn’t want to do anything, or didn’t trust these guys to do anything, but this was a whole lot of basic stuff and a lame finish.
Hijo del Fantasma, Shocker, Triton vs Rey Bucanero, Tiger, Vangelis: Not sure what exactly happened here, if these guys got their time cut because the last (aired) match went so long or if the plan was just to do a lot of Shocker and Bucanero stuff having them play no part in the finish (or if they just did that to give the match some meaning, which always seems most likely.) It did seem abbreviated, as any match without Fantasma trying for his clothesline now feels.
Delta, Diamante Azul, La Máscara vs Euforia, Felino, Volador Jr.: surprisingly clean finish for an okay match. I’m just taken completely off guard when Volador pins Mascara without any cheating whatsover. Crowd was far more into Volador & Mascara than most anything else in the match. There are many more Euforia/Diamante Azul matches in our future. I blame Felino for instigating all the Zacarias & Mije problems.
